We have a room to rent in our cottage, close to Cowes and near to the Medina estuary. We live here with our German Shepherd Archer, who is friendly, but if you’re allergic to dogs, this may not be for you. Only adults - no children unfortunately.


Surrounded by fields, and close to a forest and the Medina estuary, the cottage is a three bedroom house, rustic with country charm of mixed stone and brick.

You can feel at home and be private, or communal - it's up to you.

The space
We have fully decorated the room and replaced everything with new including carpet, bed, chair and curtains. The room doesn’t have a TV - there are two large TVs downstairs. Breakfast is included - continental.

We are two miles south from Cowes, and two miles north of Newport, with the main bus route 200 metres away. There is a path along the property where you can walk or cycle to Cowes.

Bedding and towels are provided. Free parking is available.

You have full access to the living room, kitchen-diner, utility room (with a washer and dryer - £5 for washing), and garden. The bathroom is a shared downstairs bath, shower, toilet and sink, it's the only bathroom. There is access to an iron, hair dryer and straightener. Smoking is permitted outside.

The cottage is our home, so there are photos etc around. The cottage is surrounded by fields with many foot-paths and a main cycle-route from Cowes to Newport.

We have a wood burning stove which is great for chilly nights, although we also have full gas central heating.

The cottage gets the sunshine all day, sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms one king and one twin bed room both are en suite. Lounge and front bedroom have views to the marina, rear bedroom and kitchen with views over gardens. Very quiet location away from traffic noise. Nearby there is a foot /cycle path which takes you into Newport with its shops and Restaurants. Only a short drive to sandy beaches. The cottage is central for Island attractions. We can also offer discount for ferry.

The space
We are only a 10 minute drive from East Cowes ferry terminal. Light & airy, & gets the sunshine all day. The cottage has 2 bedrooms , the front bedroom has a king size bed with bathroom en suite & the bedroom windows have views over the marina & fields beyond, the back bedroom has twin beds with a shower en suite, views over the communal gardens. Both rooms have wardrobe space. All bed linen & towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

The lounge is in the front of the cottage, the dining area is also in the front, eat your evening meal overlooking the Marina & fields beyond, this room
leads into the fully fitted kitchen, including a kitchen table & chairs. Washing machine in utility with another toilet & basin, tumble dryer in cupboard, everything you would need for a short or long stay. The front of cottage has a bench seat with a small table perfect for evening drink & watching the sunset over the river medina & fields, rear courtyard ideal for al fresco dining, with garden furniture & parasol. A bicycle rack for 2 bicycles provided in the courtyard.

Very quiet location, uninterrupted waterside views from front of house, easy access to walking & cycling routes, plus other outdoor pursuits, sailing, surfing, fishing & horse riding.
Private parking area., the car park has 6 EV chargers. A short walk away is a bus stop where you can catch buses all over the island . In the summer a water taxi operates to take you into Cowes.

The Folly Inn is a 10 minute walk, lovely walk along the rivers edge. Newport is a 40 minute walk & is also a cycle path along the rivers edge. Newport has supermarkets, restaurants & shops.
Richardson’s chandlery near the lock gates sells the basics, milk, bread etc, & you can order your morning paper from there, a 2 minute walk away from the cottage.

Our one bedroom, fully furnished, holiday cottage is located on the outskirts of the popular and historic harbour town of Yarmouth, Isle Of Wight. Set in 15 acres of landscaped grounds and pathways, which are gated and child safe.
An open plan living space runs the full depth of the cottage, with a kitchen at one end and a living space at the other.
An external seating area can be found on the decking at the rear.

The space
The front door opens into the kitchen area which also has a dining table and chairs.

The lounge has a 2 seater sofa, arm chair TV and DVD player with doors leading out to the decking area at the rear which has a table and chairs.

The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

The bedroom has a double bed, large fitted wardrobe and external door which also leads to the decking area at the rear of the property.

The cottage is located in a quiet area of the development approximately 300m walk from either of the car parks.

Major supermarkets will deliver direct to the cottage and there is a large Tesco store approximately 5 minutes drive away.

immediately outside the development is a bus stop allowing easy access by bus right across the island. The small historic town of Yarmouth is an approximate 20 minute walk ( 1 mile) away and boasts a beautiful harbour, castle, pubs and restaurants.

Please note there are some building works at the rear of the site during 2025 and the nightly tariff reflects this.

Parking is free on site in one of two car parks both of which are approximately 300m from the property.
The property is situated in 15 acres of landscaped grounds in a quiet area. Outside the grounds is a bus stop allowing access to the rest of the island. Local taxi firms are also available.

We have a trade account with Wightlink ferries and can arrange discounted ferry crossings for guests staying at our cottage at all times of the year. Please note that all ferry bookings are subject to availability and there are a reduced number of trade tickets available during peak holiday periods.

There are building works happening at the rear of the site during 2025/26. Although, our property is located away from these works the nightly tariff has been amended to reflect this.

This cozy cottage was the former Stables and lies in the grounds of the historic Merston Manor House dating back to 1605. The Cottage is approached by its own drive from Chapel Lane and has adjacent private parking. The space
The Cottage consists of open plan lounge with full kitchen and bedroom with en suite shower area. The accommodation is comparable to a hotel suite. The shower area and the toilet area is compact due to the overall size of the cottage. Comfortably furnished with everything you will need for your stay. Bedding, towels, bathrobes and toiletries are all included. There is a Nespresso machine in the kitchen area together with a starter pack of coffee tea sugar and milk

Being almost geographically central to the Island and with Footpaths, Bridleways and Cycle tracks passing close by everything the Island has to offer is within easy reach. There is a convenience store at Rookley 5 minutes away and several pubs close by. The Islands capital Newport is under 10 minutes away by car with its full restaurant and shopping facilities.

Ground Floor
Steps downs from the pavement lead to the front door open to the kitchen that has a dishwasher, oven, hob, toaster, microwave and washing machine. The lounge off the kitchen has a feature fire place, a comfortable sofa, arm chairs and a dining table.

First Floor
A steep cottage style staircase leads up from the lounge to a shower room with hand basin and wc and 2 well decorated bedrooms, one a double bed, bedside cabinet and the other a twin room bedside cabinets and with wardrobes.
The house is warmed by gas central heating.

Outside
French doors open out from the lounge into the sunny courtyard garden surrounded by mature plants. A bistro set and a summer house is provided for guests to unwind in.

Parking is on street in the local vicinity.

Wight Cottage is in St Mary's Road, a quiet neighbourhood close to the shops, pubs and restaurants of Cowes High Street.

You'll appreciate the careful refurbishment of this 175 year old shipwright's cottage. In the summer you can throw open the French windows to a sunny garden. In the winter the underfloor heating will keep you warm.

Wight Cottage is just a few minutes walk from Cowes Yacht Haven and Shepards Marina. Perfect for a Cowes sailing event.

The space
A tiny external appearance belies a spacious interior. The ground floor has been extended to include a large kitchen with dining area. French windows open out to decking and a patio garden with tables and chairs for meals outdoors.

The main bedroom with double bed is upstairs on the first floor, alongside a roomy bathroom with walk-in shower (no bathtub). The attic bedroom with twin beds is reached by a full sized staircase.

Guest access
The entire house and garden is yours while you stay. There is a workshop at the bottom of the garden which is normally locked but can be made available on request. Good for locking bikes away.

Other things to note
The cottages here date from the early years of Queen Victoria's reign. Although ours has been brought fully up to date it was built in the middle of the nineteenth century and is not completely sound-proofed. You may occasionally hear the neighbours.

The neighbours on one side have a right of way across our back garden to reach their own garden from the street. This is almost never used, but don't be alarmed if it is.

Wight Cottage is a holiday home for the owners Andrew and Stephen. We keep a few clothes folded in bottom drawers but you’ll find more than enough space to hang and store yours. On the plus side, the house generally and the kitchen in particular are better equipped than the average holiday let.

Albert’s Dairy Cottage is a beautifully converted one bedroom cottage situated adjacent to open countryside. The contemporary design offers spacious accommodation, is finished to a high specification and offers the perfect environment for couples looking for a relaxing break away. Conveniently situated less than 10 mins from both the Red funnel and Wightlink car ferry terminals, the property is ideally located for exploring the Island, is close to the River Medina and popular waterside pubs.

The space
The light and airy accommodation comprises a lounge with dining area and log burner, fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, oven and hob. There is also a coffee machine. The bedroom has a wall mounted t.v and access to a private patio area with table and chairs, a perfect space to relax and unwind. There is an en-suite shower room with large walk-in shower.

A sofa bed is located in the lounge for a 3rd guest and a single folding bed is available if needed in the bedroom.

The towns of Newport and Ryde are only 15 minutes drive away. A regular bus service is a short walk away. The local attractions of Osborne House, Robin Hill and Havenstreet Railway are nearby.

The space
This property is amongst five others, it has twin singles down stairs opposite a shower room, along with a bathroom upstairs and double bedroom. The kitchen/living area opens out on to the patio looking over the fields, the living area also has a sofa bed, the property can accommodate up to 6 people but we would advise to stay around 4/5. The property is situated in a private quite area and perfect to have furry friends come away with you.

Other things to note
Next door to these holiday accommodation's there are currently building works going on, however this work is scheduled for no works to be done before 8 AM and finished be 4PM.
The only time you will see the building work will be when you arrive and enter the property, the garden and patio is secluded facing the beautiful fields situated behind.

The space
You will feel that although it is a town location you will have complete privacy and peace. The Cottage is tucked away in a quiet setting off the main road. You have a short walk and a few steps before you enter your own holiday heaven. With a sunny 'quaint' front garden/courtyard with your own Herb Garden and space to sit you can relax and when the sun moves later in the day you can move to your back courtyard to catch the evening sunset.
On the ground floor you have the Fully Equipped Galley Kitchen through to a large dining area and open plan lounge that has a 34” TV with Freesat to many channels. Full seating area and dining table.

Kari's Cottage has gone Green, with the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump" (for hot water and heating the cottage)

There is also a full shower room off the kitchen downstairs.

At the rear there is a Utility Room/Conservatory that can be used for Laundry or storage and accesses the rear courtyard with garden furniture.
Upstairs, off the Landing to your left is the 'beamed' bathroom, it is a 3/4 size bath and overhead shower and a lowered ceiling so you may have to stoop a bit if you are tall ;-).
Also off the landing are both bedrooms, the first is a full size double bed and the second bedroom has 2 twins looking out onto the rear courtyard and a sea (peek) view.

There is short term parking on Albert Street but it is limited, the Car Park in Market Street opposite is Pay and Display or you can buy a Visitors permit that will allow you to park anywhere one the island. You also have a Bus Stop just 50 yards down the road that provides Bus Services all round the island , details are in the House Guide.
