- "The chalet was really nice with new and modern decorations. Sufficient of cookware and kitchen utensils. The location was perfect for the nearby beaches and local shops. The only downside was about the amount of toiletries. We had 4 people staying for 3 nights, but there were only 2 toilet rolls and tester-sized shampoo and shower gel. "

The dining table seats four, but there are extra chairs if needed. A fully equipped kitchen also contains a dining table. There are two bedrooms, the twin room accessed through the main bedroom, making this an ideal arrangement for children. In the twin room there is a proper wooden cot in addition to two single beds. (We can accommodate up to two children plus one infant). The main bedroom has a king-size double bed. Linens are all new and of excellent quality and beds will be made up for you on arrival. Your electricity is powered by the Isle of Wight sunshine, as we have a good solar installation here for the whole house. The biomass boiler provides plenty of warmth in the winter and there's always lots of hot water too! We have recently been awarded a Gold award for Isle of Wight Green Tourism. There is plenty of information in The Brew House of the many, many attractions and activities on the Isle of Wight, and we are usually around too, to give ideas and recommendations. We also have a selection of bikes (including a tandem), a sit-on-top kayak and wetsuits that we are happy for you to borrow. Please note that in the high season (July and August ) bookings are for full weeks only, Friday - Friday.
- "Perfectly equipped location for 4 persons. Lovely owners who showed us their terrific private garden. The helped us finding the least expensive ferry. Closely located to Sandown and beach. Great sights nearby (all less than 30mins car drive). Has great potential that we'll come back, since one week wasn't enough for beautiful IoW." - "The property was full of character and extremely well equipped. The beds were really comfortable so we slept very well. It’s set in a country lane so very peaceful and the courtyard garden was lovely. The welcome pack was full of delicious homemade goodies. We are still enjoying the lovely blackcurrant jam. Our hosts couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect"

The Sanctuary, Sandown is an attractive four storey town house situated in a pleasant tree lined street within 150 metres of the beach and High Street, with easy access to a wide variety of facilities, including shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Built in 2012, the property is beautifully furnished and equipped to a very high standard with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 sitting rooms. The top floor sitting room has the added attraction of a gorgeous roof terrace offering a stunning panorama of rural and sea views. The enclosed, sunny, south facing garden is perfect for BBQs and children's play. The extra space and bathrooms make the Sanctuary ideal for larger families looking to holiday together.
Sandown is a lovely destination for a seaside holiday, with safe waters, miles of soft golden sands and an entertaining pleasure pier. The Esplanade has seaside cafes, souvenir and beach shops together with a number of restaurants all with glorious sea views. The pier is a year-round destination in its own right with traditional pier amusements together with bumper cars, crazy golf, bowling, a soft play area for little ones and, in summer, great fishing off the pier end.
The beach has lifeguards in summer and a range of hire outlets, with everything from deck chairs, sun lounges and windbreaks, through to sea fishing kayaks, surfboards, pedalos and long board skateboards. There is a surfing school and a water sport centre that offers a range of tuition from kite surfing to sailing. The High Street runs parallel to the seafront esplanade giving easy access to a selection of tourist and arty shops, together with banks, pubs, cafes, restaurants and major supermarket chains. Sandown's well equipped leisure centre has an indoor pool, health suite, fitness classes and gym.
Additional Sandown attractions are its popular 18 hole golf course, Dinosaur Isle with its life size models and Isle of Wight Zoo famous for its Tiger Sanctuary. Along the seafront towards Dinosaur Isle there is a pitch and put, a bowling green and large play park with skateboard ramps, basketball courts, football pitch, climbing wall and duck pond.
The Sanctuary is a 10 minute walk from Sandown train station. Within 100 metres of the property there are bus stops with regular services to the beach resorts of Ryde and Shanklin and, in the season, two open top bus services which provide a delightful extra way to explore the Island's beautiful scenery.
- "We had a lovely family holiday here. There were 2 families, including 3 children. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The bedrooms were very comfortable and everything was well appointed. However, there wasn’t any gas in the bbq and this wasn’t replaced when we tried to call. The wardrobe in the top twin bedroom smelt horrible. A retractable washing line is needed in the garden for a house this size and a long handled brush to clean up the sand. Also the door to the balcony needs a support to stop it blowing into the corner of the roof and smashing. Saying this we had a wonderful holiday and the position is fantastic for the beach and the children loved evening swims and going for ice cream after dinner."

America woods is a wonderful walk, just follow the footpath a few yards up the road. - "Fantastic lodge, so comfortable and clean, it feels like a home. We were very, very welcome by Dave and Mandy and enjoyed the welcome pack. Thank you for everything!" - "We had a lovely holiday with our grandchildren in the Sunset Lodge. The grandchildren loved going into the pool and clubhouse to play pool based on site. Sitting on the balcony of the lodge in the morning and evening was an added bonus to chill out. The beach is in walking distance with lots of places to eat and drink plus a park and skateboarding area which my grandchildren loved. Would recommend."

- "This cottage is perfectly situated with wonderful sea views from 2 bedrooms, the living area and the front garden. Unlike other holiday cottages this one is very well equipped there will be nothing to need that isn’t already provided to cook any meal you require. White goods include a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. This owner has thought of everything to make your stay a pleasant one. Out door tap at the front of the property to wash of your sandy feet. Patio furniture, even 3 sets of keys and a key box. I highly recommend a stay here, the only thing to be mindful of if 7 adults is there is only one bathroom but again it is equipped with both a bath and a good quality shower. I would definitely stay here again. Re parking have a chat with the owner prior to booking a permit as we didn’t need one. Parking from 6 pm - 10 am is only 1 pound. Book it you won’t regret it. Pictures don’t do it justice, great bolt hole. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

- "The hayloft is well equipped making it like a home from home. The dishwasher and washing machine come in very handy and all the kitchen had everything I needed to cook with. The beds were comfy. The only down side was the feather cushions on the sofa, we had to move them as we are allergic. There was an issue with the toilet, but the owners were very kind and come to sort it out and gave us a gift to apologise." - "The Hayloft is a lovely property it has everything you could possibly need, except the fridge which was not cold enough. The location is good in a central position and the Isle of Wight is a very nice place except the parking charges we felt were a bit over the top"

- "My fiancé and I had a wonderful trip to Sandown in July. The property is fantastic, with comfy beds, lots of living space and a very well equipped kitchen which we found easy to cook in. It's well located for Sandown beach and pier (5 min walk) and bus/train links to other towns so suitable for those not driving like us. The listing says there's two bathrooms but there's actually three (a WC on the ground floor as well as family bathroom and ensuite shower room upstairs). Cons: There were a lot of small red spiders in the outdoor area, which limited our use of the outdoors due to my partner's arachnophobia. The directions were not super clear that the entrance to the property is not on the main road – access is via Fort St opposite the long-stay car park. The property must be quite new as the address is not available on Google Maps etc. (as of time of writing). Overall we had a great stay and would consider staying again if we come back to the Isle of Wight in future :)"

The Brew House forms the east wing of the beautiful 17th century, Grade II listed Knighton Farmhouse, set in the tiny rural hamlet of Knighton, Newchurch, in the heart of the East Wight countryside. A paved bike path is 500m away and we are surrounded by foot and bridlepaths. The cottage is full of character with original beamed ceilings, Inglenook fireplace & wood-burning stove. We (Ali & David) live next door in the farmhouse, and are usually around to help you make the most of your stay.
The space
The two-bedroom Brew House is perfect for families of all ages, with a wide selection of toys, games and books. It is also an ideal cottage for a couple. There is a private courtyard with teak table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. The wood-burning stove in the Inglenook fireplace makes for cosy evenings in the autumn and winter, and wood is included. A well-equipped kitchen makes self-catering a pleasure.Guests are welcome to borrow from our wide selection of bikes for all ages, including a tandem! You can also borrow a sit-on-top kayak including wetsuits and lifejackets to take to the beach or use for exploring the creeks and estuaries around this beautiful island. We also have plenty of buckets, spades and fishing nets for use on the Island's many beaches and rock pools. A Welcome Hamper will greet you when you arrive, with a few basics in the fridge, a selection of Isle of Wight produce, and home-made goodies!
Guest access
The Brew House has its own private courtyard garden with outdoor table and chairs, and barbecue; we provide charcoal and firefighters. There is also a garden area at the front of our property, with seating, that you are welcome to use; this is a shared space with us, and is adjacent to the Brew House parking area.
Other things to note
The Brew House is as old as the main farmhouse (1690) and has many interesting, historical features, including the original bread oven in the Inglenook fireplace. However, this does mean that the beamed ceilings are quite low and the stairs from the kitchen up to the landing and bathroom are rather steep so may not be suitable for all mobilities. We can provide stairgates to safeguard small ones. Also note that the bedroom containing the twin beds and cot is accessed by going through the main bedroom. This makes it an ideal arrangement for families with young children, but may not be suitable for two couples.
This beautiful 1 bedroom cottage is a unique and appealing conversion from the original milking parlour. It has an open plan living area, with lounge complete with log burner and fully equipped kitchen/dining area.
Robins has a fabulous en suite bedroom with a 5' sleigh bed and the luxury of a walk-in wardrobe. French doors lead out on to your own private patio, with under cover space with table and chairs so you can enjoy a meal or drink whatever the weather.

There is a pleasant dining area beside the window, and a wood burning stove provides a central focus for the room in colder weather. It is furnished with a sumptuous three seater sofa and arm chair, plus a Smart TV. A wet room is also on the ground floor with a shower, basin and WC. Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms; one spacious double room and a compact twin bedroom. There is a bathroom with a bath, basin and WC. A travel cot and high chair is available.
The cottage has a private courtyard-style garden which is fenced and gated, from which there is a stunning view over paddocks to the pretty pond. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided so that meals can be enjoyed outside. Parking is at the rear of the cottage and there is space to store bicycles. The Alverstone Marshes (Triple SSI - Site of Scientific Interest) with abundant wildlife adjoins the farm and it is possible to see a rich variety of wildlife.
