Box Tree Cottage has a delightfully comfortable private annexe suitable for one or two adults. It is light, bright and decorated in a simple fresh style with every consideration for your comfort yet retaining the character of the cottage. It has been refurbished to a high standard and offering non smoking accommodation for the comfort of my guests. It is self contained and entirely private adjacent to the owners house.
I continue to follow VRBO guidance and safety updates in regard to Covid infection. This allows sufficient time for ventilation and increased time for cleaning which has always been to a very high standard. Most guests have rated it as sparkling clean or indeed spotless. I use Ecover cleaning products combined with the recommended disinfectant.
You will find tea, coffee - both instant and ground, herbal teas and condiments for your convenience. I will be in touch with my contact details and code to the key safe shortly prior to your arrival.
The inviting living room is well furnished with a comfortable sofa with a 24 inch TV/DVD.
The kitchenette has a dining table with two chairs There is a combination grill, microwave and oven with an electric two ring ceramic hob. You will find a good size fridge, kettle and toaster and all crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment and utensils of good quality.
At the end of the living room you will find a french door opening onto a secluded courtyard with patio table and two chairs which catches the morning sun and is a pleasant spot for breakfast.
Upstairs the galleried bedroom has a delightful oak double bedstead which leads onto a tastefully appointed en-suite shower room. The duvet and pillows are the specialist anti allergy range from John Lewis. There is a good sized chest of drawers which allows for generous storage and ample hanging space.
The annexe is cosy and warm from the efficient and effective electric heating which are on preset timers.
Upstairs, both bedside tables have reading lights as well as relaxing wall lights on dimmer switches. In the en-suite shower room there is a razor socket, heated towel rail and Mira electric sport shower. There are full instructions on how to use all the electrical items in the annexe.
On arrival you will find a designated safe parking area on the drive at the front of the cottage with easy access to your private entrance. A key safe allows you to arrive at your convenience.
The annexe is adjacent to my home and I have my entrance on the opposite side and at the back of the cottage. Guests will be given my numbers or can just knock on my door. Please do not hesitate to ask, I am there to help out if needed. We may meet on the drive there but be assured that you will be left quietly to enjoy your time away.
Everton village is is a quiet and ideal location to explore the New Forest National Park with its picturesque villages such as Brockenhurst. The sailing town of Lymington provides wonderful walks around its sea wall, great restaurants cafes and a large variety of shops and designer boutiques.
Within walking distance, you will find Milford on Sea with its promenade, clean beaches, restaurants, traditional pubs and cafes.
There are numerous opportunities for walking, cycling, picnics in the beautiful scenery of the New Forest with its natural harbours such as Keyhaven, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard. I am happy to give personal recommendations of restaurants, cafes or places to visit.
And last but certainly not least, the friendly Everton village store is just at the end of the lane offering a wide range of groceries, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables and an excellent selection of wines, beers and spirits. The Post Office counter provides easy banking facilities.
At the other end of the lane, barely a a five minute walk is The Crown Pub.
It is the most ideal to arrive by car as the bus services are limited. The nearest mainline station is Brockenhurst with direct trains to London and all other railway networks. Trains go to Southampton and Bournemouth both of which have large shopping centres, for example, West Quay in Southampton or a day out on the train from Brockenhurst to Weymouth where you will find the journey interesting and Weymouth has a wonderful beach, sea front and harbour pubs.
- "What an absolute find! Just perfect for our visit to the New Forest. So very welcoming, small but perfectly formed. Everything you’d need for a home from home experience. We would most definitely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect bolt hole and relaxing space to return “home” to after a day exploring the New Forest, fabulous location just a couple of miles from the coast in one direction and beautiful villages in the other. Linda was a wonderful host and provided lots of information and places of interest for our stay. Plus a wonderful chocolate cake. Thank you Linda :-)"

- "Lovely house with everything we needed, had our daily workout with the stairs, but that wasn't a problem, stayed Xmas time an owner's had a tree up for us, and left us flowers and some treats, so thank you to Michelle, also thanx to Sam as the house was spotless. We will definitely be returning x Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "This house is very narrow, but well planned and really comfortable. There was everything we needed for the week. The bedroom/shower room arrangement is a little unconventional but east to work with. Town, shops and other amenities couldn't be closer but we had no impact from noise at all. The view from the lounge is lovely. A meal in the The Ship on the harbour was excellent and felt reassuringly covid safe. The Blue Pig and Anchor was less good but not terrible. The walk from the harbour along the sea defence wall is easy and plenty of wildlife to see. There are many places within easy reach by car we particularly enjoyed Beaulieu with a lovely walk to Bucklers Head Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

- "We had a fantastic holiday staying at Starboard Light in Lymington. The house was clean, comfortable, warm, beautifully decorated with lots of lovely little touches. A lot of thought was put into this house. Although small it was ideal for two people & a little dog. Everything worked perfectly, the oven, hob, television, toaster, microwave, electric wood burning stove & the washer/drier. The couch & bed were very comfy too & there was lots of storage space. It is situated in the heart of Lymington close to shops, bars, restaurants & lovely harbour walks. In fact we had such a great time that we booked again for later in the year the day after we came home & I think that says it all ! We are already looking forward to going back !"

Comfortable, stylishly decorated and perfectly-located cottage south of the High Street Lymington; 90 seconds walk from the train station and just a 3 minute walk to the Quay and the High Street.
Welcome to Lymington, my childhood town full of happy memories. The wisteria-adorned cottage itself is my home and has been a haven of happiness for many visiting friends and family over the years. I am welcoming guests to my home whilst I travel for work. I hope you enjoy the area as much as I do.
The cottage is fully kitted out to the highest standard with one double bedroom (king-sized bed and en suite with bath for a soak after a long day on the water with the stand-up paddleboard that is available for your use in the garden shed) and one double bunk room with adult-sized bunks and Simba mattresses and duvets. There is a second bathroom with quality shower on the ground floor.
You have sunrise from the double bedroom window and the vine-covered courtyard has sun from breakfast until late afternoon, with a firepit in the courtyard for marshmallow-roasting and sundowners.
The cottage itself has fast connectivity WiFi, Samsung TV and the kitchen is fully fitted out with red and white wine glasses, Le Creuset pans, knives that are actually sharp, all manner of baking and cooking equipment and a high-quality milk frother and Bialetti so you can enjoy freshly ground coffee from one of Lymington’s finest cafes – Coffee & Drift – on the Quay. They also serve excellent breakfast and paninis and in the summer months there is a lady who sells the world’s most delicious strawberries (bar Scotland where I’m currently based) directly opposite.
- "Delightful and modern snug cottage in a great location. Comfy beds, well equipped and quality finish."

- "Great place for a short stay, minor niggles with some cutlery not being clean and heating in the top bedroom not turning on, but everything else was fantastic. Great bedding, super comfy, had everything we needed. We had the 12 days of Christmas at the Elderflower which was close enough we did not need coats to get there. Stunning morning watching the sky at sunrise on the balcony too. Would stay again."
