A private parking space is available for your use on the drive, and public transport links are available with Pokesdown train station ½ mile away and a variety of bus stops on the main street which take you to Bournemouth. Pokesdown’s high street has a variety of convenience stores, restaurants and takeaways, so you don’t have far to go for a delicious lunch or dinner out. The beach is a 10-minute walk away, and you can walk along the promenade all the way to Bournemouth and onto Sandbanks in one direction, or along to Hengistbury Head in the other direction.

There are 7 miles of continuous Blue Flag beaches to explore, some of which have golden sands and other parts are pebbled. A variety of things to do nearby including escape rooms, mini golf, the Science Zone Museum, the O2 Academy in Boscombe or the BIC in Bournemouth, both with a variety of live events. The Oceanarium in Bournemouth, as well as high street shopping and a vast range of eateries, will also keep you entertained.

Hengistbury Head and Stanpit Marsh are beautiful areas to walk or cycle around as areas of scientific interest, and further afield is the New Forest with its free roaming ponies and cattle. - "Very clean, good facilities, everything you might need is provided. Property is a spacious first floor apartment, the ground floor and second floor are permanently let out privately, but actually we never saw anyone else all week. Despite the suggestion on the property description that parking is on the road, there is in fact a dedicated parking spot off the road on the frontage of the property. Booking was a bit of a nightmare, I booked through Vrbo, but the property is actually let by cottages.com, and I had to pay them directly because Vrbo could not do the payments for some reason. Once I was in contact with the actual property owners, which only happened on the day we arrived, they were extremely welcoming."

Once the properties are checked by our housekeepers the monies are released for your use within 5 days after your departure.

We currently have one beach hut advertised on our website, which is located between the popular Alum Chine and Durley Chine beaches, offering unspoilt sea views and large balcony area, includes items such as sun loungers and gas stove. This can be added to your booking form as a second property: BEACH HUT. More beach huts available from Summer 2015, please enquire.

Other things to note
Free parking in surrounding streets. It can get busy, but you can usually find a space. Alternatively, Woodside Road public car park is just a minutes' walk away and always has space (£5 for 24 hours or £26 for a monthly pass).

We make sure the cottage is sparkling clean using eco friendly cleaning products. Linens are laundered at high temperature using non-bio detergent.
