My flat is the top floor (2 flights of stairs) of a large detached house so it has lots of light. The double bedroom and large ensuite, is completely separated from the rest of my flat, by a small hall with partition wall and door, giving complete privacy. I live in the rest of the place, so am on hand to answer any questions or for info, local tips, but will give you your privacy to enjoy a peaceful stay.

Our annexe is accessed via a side gate to our home at the end of a pretty path. It is a large, bright, secluded detached building within our garden. It is West facing so is always bright and welcoming and has patio doors onto a private deck with garden rattan furniture where you can sit and relax listening to the waves. A perfect location for a break at the sea. We are very well situated for all local amenities. There is free parking right outside and space is always available.

The space
Located down a short path the annexe is a large detached studio space at the end of our garden. There is a double bed with under bed storage, a chest of drawers (with hair dryer) and hanging space. There is also a double sofa bed and children are most welcome. The sitting area has a flatscreen TV with freeview and a DVD player. We have very fast, efficient broadband. The kitchenette has a sink, microwave, fridge, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and a coffee maker. There is no oven but we do have a very efficient induction hob which means you can make most meals. We also provide tea, coffee and milk and there is a dining table/work station and chairs. The bathroom comprises a a loo, sink and shower with a heated towel rail. We provide bedding, tea towels and bath and beach towels. We also have a selection of beach chairs, buckets and spades which our guests are welcome to borrow.
Large patio doors open onto a good sized patio with rattan furniture so you can enjoy chilling out late into the evening with a drink in the sun.

Guest access
The annexe is accessed via a side passage shared with the house but is a self contained detached brick building and well secluded. Our guests have access to their own patio.

Other things to note
Our place is very well placed for a break whether you come by car, train or bus. There is free on street parking right outside which is never a problem. We are a few minutes walk down the Portman zigzag to the beautiful, quiet Southbourne sandy beach. There are showers, toilets and an ice cream stand just where you enter the beach. We are 5 minutes walk to Southbourne Grove shops with many restaurants and bars to suit everyone, supermarkets, a pharmacy, post office and other local shops. There is also a park nearby. Buses go from Southbourne to the heart of Bournemouth or Christchurch. Pokesdown station is a 10 minute walk away and Bournemouth station is a 10 minute taxi ride away (there is a taxi rank at the station). For the less able there is free parking right next to the beach and a cliff lift or land train (running from Boscombe pier). For those who prefer countryside rather than the beach the beautiful New Forest is a 20 minute drive away; there is something for everyone. Welcome to our cozy studio nestled between a vibrant, independent high street and a stunning sandy beach.

This small studio features a well-equipped kitchen with a hob and an air fryer, and an outdoor BBQ.

Free parking along our road. It gets busy in summer but there will always be somewhere to park within a couple of minutes walk.

Enjoy privacy with your own entrance and gate, and small garden and separate BBQ area.

The space
You will enter through your own gate and path marked ‘The Hideaway’. After walking through this path you’ll see the BBQ and outdoor table. Around the corner you’ll find the door to the property and a small garden with decking and chairs.

You will step up into the studio and will see the king sized bed, a sofa (which is a sofa bed), and a kitchen area. The bathroom has a shower, WC and sink.

The space
We have 2 large double rooms located on the second floor of the property, each with their own en-suite shower room and access to a small adjacent kitchenette that is shared between both rooms. The kitchen has plenty of fridge/freezer storage and is suitable for making your own drinks, breakfast and light snacks, but is not suitable for Jamie Oliver style catering!! We provide all bed linen and towels and service the rooms on alternate days. The rooms can be booked individually or if reserved together, will have exclusive use of the adjacent kitchen. Please note that these rooms are self-catering and the prices quoted do not include breakfast.

We do have a small amount of on-site parking, but it cannot be guaranteed for our AirBnB guests. There is free unlimited street parking in Southern Road and the adjacent roads. Bournemouth train station is approximately 4 miles and Pokesdown train station about 1 mile. There are regular buses that run into Bournemouth town centre, Poole and Christchurch.
