It is walking distance to the lovely sandy beaches, town centre ( town not looking it's best but sandy beach is lovely), restaurants and transportation. A Car is not necessary if you like travelling on the local buses and the train station is approx 15 minutes away. This home will appeal to all types of couples whether energetic or those who just want a relaxing holiday. Private patio. Many coastal walks and bike trails within minutes. Near attractions like Dinosaur Isle and IOW zoo famous for its tiger sanctuary. Umbrella, chairs, beach towels, cooler for beach all available without extra charge.
Excellent also for a WINTER BREAK. The island is much quieter in the winter months and many attractions are open all year round.

Small ground floor self contained flat suitable for a couple or couple and 2 children. (not a party pad) This apartment consists of two 12’x12’ rooms and an ensuite shower room. There is a twin sofa bed (2 side by side singles, ideal for siblings) Please consider how much space you will need before booking. All bedding and towels provided including seperate beach towels. Near to Sandown Beach and Pier. Bus stop approx 50 meters away. Private entrance at the back of the house with patio garden and garden furniture. Furniture cushions are not waterproof. If used, please put cushions in the box at night and the cover back on the parasol. (Sea mist and sea gulls are not a good combination!) The patio garden is shared with a family member who lives in the flat over my kitchen, he is mostly out at work and seldom around) Parking provided. Kitchenette/lounge with full size oven/grill, large microwave, 2 ring hob, toaster and kettle, fridge with small freezer compartment, washer/dryer and twin sofa bed. Central heating. My friend and her 10 year old daughter shared the very comfortable bed and I was on the sofa bed, which isn’t the longest although again, comfortable. Glorious Sandown Bay is on your doorstep, and voted one of the Island’s best beaches, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found. Sandham Garden’s play area is just across the road from the apartment with go karting sky nets and crazy golf and children’s play area. This modern apartment is perfectly positioned to watch the ships passing by, whilst enjoying the sunlight reflecting off the glistening waves seen through the windows. Situated at ground floor level, the sandy shores of Sandown Bay are directly opposite.
The accommodation comprises of a large open plan living/kitchen/dining area, which offers lovely views out to sea and a large smart TV, inc Netflix, Amazon & internet. There are three sofas, one that can be used as a sofa bed for one person.
The kitchen area is a modern contemporary style, with breakfast bar seating for up to 3 and includes a Nespresso machine (pods not supplied), an integral fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob. The dining area seats up to 6 guests and also benefits from sea views.
The master bedroom can be made up as a super-king or a twin room; please advise your preference on booking. There is a dressing table, that can also be used as a work desk for those looking to work whilst away. This room has a stylish en-suite. The second bedroom is a twin room. The property was modern, spacious, clean and well equiped and included off street parking. Could do with some alternative hot weather bedding. A duvet in 30 degrees is just not needed."

11 Breakwaters is a contemporary luxury 3 bedroom house in a prime position on Sandown seafront, just a stone's throw from the Blue Flag sandy beach.
This brand new house has been thoughtfully designed with you and your family’s comfort in mind, with a large sociable open plan kitchen, dining and living area. For those that enjoy cooking there is a fully equipped stylish kitchen with breakfast bar and stools, designer appliances and coffee machine. If you fancy a relaxing night in after a busy day exploring, you can recline on the comfy sofa in front of the 55” Smart TV. Carpeted stairs lead to the first floor where there is master bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, wall mounted Smart TV, air conditioning unit and ensuite shower and WC, a bunk bed room (with an extra trundle bed underneath) plus an air conditioning unit and a third bedroom with a zip and link bed (initially set up as a Super King but can be set up as twin beds if requested at the time of booking), plus a sleek family bathroom with a rain shower over the bath, hand basin, WC, shaver point and LED mirror. All rooms throughout have individually controllable underfloor heating.
For those that enjoy eating al fresco or a few quiet drinks there is a patio door from the lounge that leads to a furnished patio with parasol. It’s a great little space to soak up some rays!
A fun new addition to the house is a 4 person hot tub .
There is also a private driveway with space for 2 cars as well as an EV charge point, a garage for storing bikes and other beach equipment.
Due to the property's fantastic seafront location next to historic beachfront hotels, live music can sometimes be heard into the evening.

The Island is surprisingly easy to reach and only a couple of hours from London, with regular ferries running from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington. Leave the car behind should you wish and travel here by rail and catamaran across the Solent, by booking a combined ticket from any Mainland train station to nearby Sandown.
This modern second floor apartment is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the Island or sunning yourself on the beach, which is situated just in front of the building. Guests have access to a beach hut positioned opposite the apartment, which includes chairs, a wind break, buckets/ spades, rugs and parasols. There are plenty of attractions to keep all ages entertained long Sandown seafront. The Pier and glorious Sandown Bay are just a short walk down-hill from the property. Voted one of the island’s best beaches, so why not stretch your legs along the miles of golden sand or swim in the cooling water of the English Channel. The nine mile stretch between Yaverland and Shanklin, with Sandown nestled in the middle, demonstrates the wonders of geology, with red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff. On a lucky day, the remains of fossils can also be found! If you crave an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports and you’ll be sure to see people paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or catamaran and dingy sailing; weather dependent.
A short walk towards Yaverland, you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, famous for its big cats. - "We have had a really lovely week in Sandy Shores. Very well equipped apartment, furnished to a very high standard including a very comfy bed! Loved the bifold doors which made the view even more amazing. We had a week of warm sunny weather and the only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been a lightweight, summer duvet!" - "We had a lovely 6 nights at Sandy Shores. The views from the lounge are amazing! I loved preparing our meals watching out to sea from the kitchen and it’s a bonus when you can watch the sea and TV at the same time. The apartment is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the location is great being able to see across to and walk into both Sandown and Shanklin. The rooms are so much larger than expected and we loved staying here. The under cover parking was also a bonus. Access was a little confusing as we have never encountered a key code on a door handle before and were looking for a key box, but the lady on the phone was extremely helpful. The only little things I would add to the apartment would be a shelf in the shower and a toilet roll holder on the wall, so you don’t have to bend over all the time. As I said, little things. We had such an amazing time and would definitely return. Thank you."

The nine-mile stretch between Yaverland and Shanklin, with Sandown nestled in the middle, demonstrates the wonders of geology, with red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff. On a lucky day, the remains of fossils can also be found! If you crave an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports and you’ll be sure to see people paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or catamaran and dingy sailing; weather dependent.
A short walk towards Yaverland, you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, famous for its big cats. The facilities and utilities within the apartment. The beds were super comfortable. The interior furnishings were nice and the multiple seating options in the open plan kitchen lounge worked well. The view was lovely. The entrance instructions we were given on email had the wrong access code to the apartment which wasn't helpful. There was a strong smell of smoke/cigarettes upon entrance to the apartment, whether that is a cleaning product used or the cleaners themselves smoke? Another resident/guest parking in the allocated car bay as ours was closest to a charging point."

Newley refurbished throughout with downstairs open plan living area. Entrance porch and downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand basin. The kitchen is fully equipped for most family needs.

Little Dell is a charming single storey one bedroom property located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the village of Winford on the outskirts of Sandown. Benefitting from countryside views from its own garden and living area, this little gem is an ideal base to explore the island. Fitted with modern facilities this bijou accommodation has just about everything to make your stay a comfortable one. A comfy double bed, hallway and shower room and a living space that incorporates the dining area and kitchen and has steps down to the private garden area with outside seating. An Air fryer is provided for cooking as well as an electric 2 ring hob and a microwave. Please note however there is not a conventional oven. Ample off-road parking is to the front of the accommodation. Winford is on a bus route and nearby Apse Heath has a local premier store for basic shopping needs.

- "We very much enjoyed our stay after initial difficulties with the key code, which was different to the one we had been given. Accommodation was good and the beds comfy, though It was not a large chalet. It was very clean and the welcome pack was generous. It was reasonably equipped, but more thought on the small items was required, eg some small glasses and more plates in the kitchen and more hooks and towel rails in the bathroom. Outside, the view was stunning, helped by a week of unbroken sunshine. The only suggestion here to enhance the stay would be to get the grass cut and the paths weeded. Car parking was good and adjacent. Overall, it was a week to remember."

Bay Reach is a light, spacious, family holiday home, situated in a quiet residential area close to the beautiful Yaverland Beach. No pets allowed, perfect if you have pet allergies or just don't like the smell of dogs in your holiday accommodation! The house is comfortably furnished and together with free wifi has all the home comforts and luxuries that you would expect from a modern holiday home.Designed with a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, there is plenty of space for 8 people. The home has the benefit of flexible sleeping accommodation with 2 bedrooms upstairs and downstairs and is perfect for holidaying with extended families or with friends. Bay Reach also has two separate family bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) and an ensuite shower room - so no queues to get ready for the day ahead or your evening out!
On the ground floor there is a spacious open plan, kitchen/lounge/dining area.
The lounge has comfortable seating for up to 8 people and a large freeview smart TV and DVD player. Fully folding doors lead from the lounge to the good size, south facing, secure rear garden with large patio area, BBQ, table and seating, perfect for al fesco dining and relaxing. Beyond and to the side of the dining patio is mainly grass with flower borders.
The fully integrated kitchen has electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer dryer, toaster and coffee maker and is well equipped to provide for your self catering needs. A breakfast bar, with seating divides it from the lounge area.
The dining area has a large table, comfortably seating 8 people.
Leading from the dining area is the master bedroom suite with double bed, TV/ DVD, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Leading directly from the bedroom is the shower room with wc, vanity basin and shower.
Downstairs also offers a second twin bedroom with 2 single beds, large fitted wardrobe and bedside cabinets.
A further family bathroom with shower bath, wc and vanity basin is also available on the ground floor.
Off road parking with plenty of space for 2 cars.
Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with TV/DVD player and sofa and chair - providing a perfect additional space to relax in away from the main living areas downstairs. The bedroom has a large fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.
There is a further twin bedroom which is especially ideal for children or teenagers, (but will also sleep adults), with 2 single beds, smart TV/DVD, large fitted wardrobe, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. There is a second family bathroom on this floor with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.
A high chair and travel cot is available for families with infants subject to additional charges. Bedding is not provided for the travel cot.
All showers and hot water is provided from a large pressurised cylinder system so no noisy booster pumps or limits on people using hot water at the same time.
The accommodation provides for a maximum number of 8 people but a maximum of 5 adults only and subject to the owners' discretion.

I live in Apt 3, Sandham Court which is situated at 30 Nunwell Street, just 5 minutes walk from Sandown train station with direct link to London. My place is close to restaurants and pubs, great views, the beach and family friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoor space, the neighbourhood, the light and the comfy memory foam mattress. The Isle of Wight is the home of the Isle of Wight Pop Festival with bus connections nearby.
The space
I will be on hand to welcome you to my home on your arrival and to make sure you are settled in. I live on the ground floor in my garden apartment. It is very quiet here - inside and out. Very comfortable double bedroom with a standard size double bed with memory foam mattress. En suite bathroom with shaver/electric toothbrush point. Bath has overhead shower. Central heating in colder months. There is a 39inch TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime in the bedroom.
Guest access
Tea/coffee making facilities are provided in the bedroom. Or I can make you a drink and would love you to join me in the living area which is also where you will have breakfast if you choose to. Breakfast is provided as an extra and is very good value for money.
There is off- road parking for guests' cycles in my garden.

I am always available to help with my guests' needs, questions and conversation. I always look forward to getting to know my guests.

I do have a very special cat called Kiki living with me. She is very friendly and loves people!
We have a double room available too so combine bookings for 4 people. Our house is very conveniently located just 200 metres from the town centre with shops, coffee bars, restaurants and takeaways. Another 100 metres and you are on the beach.

We are very close to the town, beach, station and buses.
If you look on the aerial photo on the right hand centre we are the brown house on the corner by the car park.
There is plenty of free on road parking and a large council pay and display car park at the rear of the house too.
There are plenty of reasonable priced cafes, pubs and restaurants within a short distance. One of Sandowns' oldest pubs "The Old Comical" is a stones throw away too and they have regular music etc
The house is an ideal base to explore our lovely island or to just enjoy one of the best beaches on the IOW at Sandown.
We can book discounted ferry crossings for you on Red Funnel from Southampton to Cowes if you wish.
This listing is for our twin bedded room with TV. Shared use of our main bathroom with shower/bath, basin and toilet. If nobody else is staying in the double room we will let you use the en-suite there.
We have decided that Children, over 6 are welcome but not any younger as the bedroom accesses to a landing adjacent to the stairs.
If eating indoors we request you use the kitchen and dining room rather than taking food into the bedrooms. You are welcome to share the lounge with us.

Our twin bedroom has Freeview TV , wardrobe and chest of drawers, with use of our bathroom which has a bath with power shower, basin and w.c.
We generally try to limit use of house by one party and this room is good for children (suggest aged over 5 though) or two friends. sharing.
The bathroom is accessed by walking past the top landing and stairs which is why we suggest better for children over 5, although we have never had any problems with younger children
During your stay
You are welcome to share our lounge and kitchen (if desired). We request any meals are taken in the dining room and not in the bedrooms. We are happy for guests to mingle with us, or keep to themselves, whichever suits them best.

We recently installed an en suite toilet, basin and shower in this room. Wireless broadband and a TV is available in the room.
Both rooms can be booked together or as two separate bookings.
We are sorry but we have decided not to accept bookings with very young children, for various reasons, but children over 6 are welcome. Please note that the twin room is located at the rear of house and the path to the shared bathroom and the double bedroom is past the top stair landing. Never had a problem but just thought worth a mention.

A spacious double bedroom which has been recently redecorated. The beach is at a stone throw from the house. The house is a Victorian house with high ceilings. It has a unique style mixing African, Japanese and Asian decoration. As a guest you will have full access to all the common areas: kitchen, living room and a big bathroom with a huge corner bath, a hydromassage shower and you will also have a small toilet next to your room.

The house is in the High Street in Sandown. It is 50 yards away from the beach, which you can see from the living room. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and supermarkets around the house.
