In the heart of the New Forest, enjoy beautiful walks and cycle rides from the doorstep and keep look out for donkeys, ponies and the occasional Highland cattle wandering past the house! Relax paddling in the local streams or visit a beach, the nearest is only 8 miles away. Village amenities are a quick stroll away and include: a greengrocers, butchers, convenience stores as well as a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The house is a short walk from a mainline train station, bus stop and bike hire so if you want to leave the car behind getting about isn't a problem.

A large, open plan kitchen, dining/family room with bi-fold doors leading onto a large south facing garden. Plenty of room for all of your group to relax together in one space.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, double oven, gas hob, T.V and micro hi-fi. There is also a selection of baking trays and an electric food mixer in case you have been bitten by the Great British Bake Off bug. A large slow cooker means that you can prepare a meal and leave it to cook while you go out and enjoy yourself for the day.

Bi-fold doors open from the kitchen onto a large patio with just a small step down. The patio has a large table and chairs so that you can enjoy eating outside in the garden. A BBQ is also provided. The rest of the large, south facing garden is laid to lawn with plenty of room for adults to relax and children to play.

The living room seats 8 and is equipped with a TV, and digital radio. You can also sit and relax and keep watch out of the large bay window for ponies, donkeys and cows walking past.

The house has a downstairs bedroom with a bed which can be made up as either a super king size bed or two full size singles. There is also a downstairs shower room with a walk in shower with low profile shower tray, toilet and basin which may make this property suitable if someone in your party has restricted mobility.

Upstairs there is a bedroom with a king bed and en-suite, a further double with a view out over the garden, one single room, one room with bunk bed and a family bathroom. Please note that the upper bunk is recommended for over 7's only and up to a maximum weight of 12 stone/70kg but we do not use it for adults.

A selection of games and books are available for all age ranges if you want to spend a night in, and maps of the area, walks and cycle routes are provided to help you plan your days out. The property has off street parking for one car.

Wanting a car free holiday? The property is only a short walk from a mainline train station. South West trains run a regular service from Waterloo to Weymouth with stops at Sway, Ashurst, Southampton, Poole and Bournemouth amongst others. Cross Country trains run from Manchester to Bournemouth and stops include Winchester and Southampton. There is also a local branch line to the Georgian market town of Lymington from where it is possible to take a ferry to the Isle of Wight. Cycle hire is available within a short walk of the house.

Nestled on the edge of the village of Pilley, in the New Forest National Park is Oak Tree Cottage. With forest tracks on the doorstep, it is ideally situated for relaxing and exploring the New Forest and villages along the South coast. The local ponies and donkeys are frequent visitors to our lane, as they roam freely in the immediate area. Our cottage is tastefully furnished throughout with adequate parking, large garden and barbecue provided for the summer months. There is no traffic noise. Oak Tree cottage is situated within easy reach of the Georgian market town of Lymington, with its lovely cobbled street, quay, array of individual shops and Saturday market, and in the other direction, the quaint village of Beaulieu with its famous National Motor Museum. The Isle of Wight can be reached easily by taking the ferry from Lymington and from nearby Brockenhurst there is a rail link connecting to Bournemouth, Southampton and London Waterloo.

This is a beautifully refurbished 17th Century cottage in the heart of Beaulieu (not far from the river) which is an ideal base from which to relax and enjoy New Forest life. Situated on a quiet road, you can walk to Monty's Inn nearby for dinner and visit the popular cafe opposite for breakfast. You may see donkeys and cows walking along the High Street!

For the adventurous, bikes and canoes can be hired nearby at New Forest Activities.

You will enter the property via the external door which leads down a covered brick walkway to the access door on your left (a little quirky but it's part of the house!). Once inside you are in a small hallway with the stairs to the first floor. You turn right and descend two steps into the large rear dining area with its vaulted ceiling and which has views over the rear patio and garden. This room has lots of light due to the 4 metre wide patio doors and it has the advantage of being attached to the kitchen (you walk up two steps to reach it) so it is great open plan space plus having a large dining table.

The kitchen has a cooker, integrated microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher. There is also a Nespresso machine for your morning expresso or latte.

Directly off the dining room there is also the door to the large lounge (up another two steps) which has two settees a wood burning stove for cosy night in. There are also HD TV (enjoy free Netflix to watch your favourite films ) or use the DVD player.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one large, one small plus the separate bathroom (with a bath and shower). The large bedroom has one king size bed and two single beds. The smaller bedroom has a double bed.
Outside there is a patio with table and chairs to enjoy the long summer nights. Then there is the large enclosed garden to the rear with fruit trees and a log store.

- "We have just arrived back from a great weeks stay in Beaulieu. The cottage was lovely, spacious, and had everything we needed. It was also in a superb location, so we barely used our car. Everything was within cycling distance! The garden was fab too and we sat outside to eat most evenings. The high street is great and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The donkeys, cows and horses were happily popping by regularly, which we all loved to see. There are two 22kw EV charging points at Beaulieu car park (free to park after 6pm). We used this to charge and it was literally a minutes walk from the cottage. Perfect! We can definitely recommend Beaulieu Motor museum, Exbury Gardens, Bucklers Hard, Furzey Gardens (which support people with all disabilities), Steffs Kitchen and their community allotment across the road, and Sailability in Lymington. Sailability are a charity, and offer boating opportunities for the disabled. Our daughter uses a wheelchair and they had a boat where she could wheel straight on. It was £10 each for me and my husband to join her, and she enjoyed a 90 minute boat trip. It was really fantastic! A super trip to New Forest, and we can't wait to return to Beaulieu very soon."

A charming solid oak framed cabin, situated on a 2 acre small holding in the heart of the New Forest. We run a brewery (PIG BEER) with beer garden on site. We play ambient music from 12pm up until 8:30pm in the summer, and 12pm until 4pm in the winter.

The Cabin has vaulted ceilings, and large solid oak beams. With a king size double bed, and soft duvet and pillows. There is a kitchenette with a small table top oven, with two hobs (basic on/off - no temperature control) and a compact undercounter fridge and freezer. At the entrance, there is a breakfast table with stools.

Outside, there is a small patio with tables, chairs and a BBQ. Although the patio is overlooked by the house, we aim to give guests as much privacy as possible. Hedging around the Cabin and patio provides privacy from the brewery beer garden.

The Setley Ridge farm shop supplies high quality, easy to cook oven pastries and meals, including:

We're based in Setley which is a hamlet of Brockenhurst. We have a good local pub (The Filly), and we're directly next door to Setley Ridge Vineyard which has an excellent farm shop selling high quality local produce, a garden centre, as well as a lovely café serving food throughout the day. There is a footpath which runs directly in front of our property, and it takes roughly 5 minutes to walk end to end from the Filly to the Vineyard. The Cabin is set back roughly 60 metres from the A337. Getting to Brockenhurst: Brockenhurst Taxis are the local taxi firm, and typically charge £4 – 8 for the journey. If driving it’s a 2 minute drive, there are several car parks within the village. Walking takes between 30 – 60 minutes, the longer and more scenic route is through Roydon woods, turning left after approx. half a mile, which takes you out to Church Lane. Or you can walk across the heathland (there’s a small gate on the opposite side of the main road at the end of our driveway), you can then walk along Sway Road into Brockenhurst. Unfortunately, the first 200 yards of Sway Road doesn’t have a pavement.

Brockenhurst station is about 15 minutes by car and connects to London in under two hours, making the home easily accessible even for weekend getaways.
