Breakfast was well organised and all the staff very kind and helpful." - "Amazing hotel and spa and have been a number of times. Stayed for two nights and had an amazing spa day with two treatments. Decided to upgrade to a superior garden twin room which was adequate but if I was being extra picky there are a couple of observations that would have improved the room itself. There was no safe or full length mirror and the wardrobe and draw space were tiny also there was nowhere to sit in front of a mirror to apply makeup and dry our hair. I want to emphasise non of this affected our stay and is purely feedback based on the quality of the hotel and the cost of upgrading our room and we will definitely be back. We came to the conclusion that the room was not specifically designed for those of us that need constant reassurance that we leave the room looking our best and our skirts are not tucked in our underwear."

- "Had a lovely stay, our room was up some very steep stairs, need to be careful. Some items in the room need some TLC, but overhaul very nice. Had some nice tea and coffee plus biscuits " - "A very pleasant stay of three nights in a Superior Heritage room - we would stay here again. Our charming, quirky upstair room in the roof space, had a very comfortable bed, was well appointed and had good storage. Access was via steep stairs which were absolutely fine if you turned sideways on and held the rail - the quirky ancient charm is all part of the stay. The bedroom door opens into the bathroom with separate side toilet. I specifically selected a room with a bath and so I was very happy with it, but it is worth noting the bath does not come with a shower curtain, so bathing really was the only option. The bedroom’s double aspect windows gave pleasingly good airflow during what was a hot spell and made the room very pleasant indeed. Ventilation for the toilet and bathroom area is via these same windows and was very efficient. Downstairs had a charming little fireplace lobby/sitting room with information leaflets on a dresser. The airy and well run breakfast area / Esme’s tearooms was wonderful. All staff were really friendly, efficient, hardworking, and genuinely interested in their guests and visitors. Of special note was the wonderful Daisy, whom we looked forward to seeing each morning. Daisy gave us some very helpful ideas of places to visit. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea one day, with all food beautifully presented. The cakes were amazing and the tea garden was attractive and spacious. A lovely stay - thank you."

In the heart of the New Forest, enjoy beautiful walks and cycle rides from the doorstep and keep look out for donkeys, ponies and the occasional Highland cattle wandering past the house! Relax paddling in the local streams or visit a beach, the nearest is only 8 miles away. Village amenities are a quick stroll away and include: a greengrocers, butchers, convenience stores as well as a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The house is a short walk from a mainline train station, bus stop and bike hire so if you want to leave the car behind getting about isn't a problem.

The rest of the large, south facing garden is laid to lawn with plenty of room for adults to relax and children to play.

The living room seats 8 and is equipped with a TV, and digital radio. You can also sit and relax and keep watch out of the large bay window for ponies, donkeys and cows walking past.

The house has a downstairs bedroom with a bed which can be made up as either a super king size bed or two full size singles. There is also a downstairs shower room with a walk in shower with low profile shower tray, toilet and basin which may make this property suitable if someone in your party has restricted mobility.

South West trains run a regular service from Waterloo to Weymouth with stops at Sway, Ashurst, Southampton, Poole and Bournemouth amongst others. This is a beautifully refurbished 17th Century cottage in the heart of Beaulieu (not far from the river) which is an ideal base from which to relax and enjoy New Forest life. Situated on a quiet road, you can walk to Monty's Inn nearby for dinner and visit the popular cafe opposite for breakfast. You may see donkeys and cows walking along the High Street!

For the adventurous, bikes and canoes can be hired nearby at New Forest Activities.

You will enter the property via the external door which leads down a covered brick walkway to the access door on your left (a little quirky but it's part of the house!). Once inside you are in a small hallway with the stairs to the first floor. You turn right and descend two steps into the large rear dining area with its vaulted ceiling and which has views over the rear patio and garden. This room has lots of light due to the 4 metre wide patio doors and it has the advantage of being attached to the kitchen (you walk up two steps to reach it) so it is great open plan space plus having a large dining table.

The kitchen has a cooker, integrated microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher. There is also a Nespresso machine for your morning expresso or latte.

Directly off the dining room there is also the door to the large lounge (up another two steps) which has two settees a wood burning stove for cosy night in. There are also HD TV (enjoy free Netflix to watch your favourite films ) or use the DVD player.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one large, one small plus the separate bathroom (with a bath and shower). The large bedroom has one king size bed and two single beds. The smaller bedroom has a double bed.
Outside there is a patio with table and chairs to enjoy the long summer nights. Then there is the large enclosed garden to the rear with fruit trees and a log store.

The donkeys, cows and horses were happily popping by regularly, which we all loved to see. There are two 22kw EV charging points at Beaulieu car park (free to park after 6pm). We used this to charge and it was literally a minutes walk from the cottage. Perfect! We can definitely recommend Beaulieu Motor museum, Exbury Gardens, Bucklers Hard, Furzey Gardens (which support people with all disabilities), Steffs Kitchen and their community allotment across the road, and Sailability in Lymington. Sailability are a charity, and offer boating opportunities for the disabled. Our daughter uses a wheelchair and they had a boat where she could wheel straight on. It was £10 each for me and my husband to join her, and she enjoyed a 90 minute boat trip. It was really fantastic! A super trip to New Forest, and we can't wait to return to Beaulieu very soon."

A charming solid oak framed cabin, situated on a 2 acre small holding in the heart of the New Forest. We run a brewery (PIG BEER) with beer garden on site. We play ambient music from 12pm up until 8:30pm in the summer, and 12pm until 4pm in the winter.

The Cabin has vaulted ceilings, and large solid oak beams. With a king size double bed, and soft duvet and pillows. There is a kitchenette with a small table top oven, with two hobs (basic on/off - no temperature control) and a compact undercounter fridge and freezer. At the entrance, there is a breakfast table with stools.

Outside, there is a small patio with tables, chairs and a BBQ. Although the patio is overlooked by the house, we aim to give guests as much privacy as possible. Hedging around the Cabin and patio provides privacy from the brewery beer garden.

We're based in Setley which is a hamlet of Brockenhurst. We have a good local pub (The Filly), and we're directly next door to Setley Ridge Vineyard which has an excellent farm shop selling high quality local produce, a garden centre, as well as a lovely café serving food throughout the day. There is a footpath which runs directly in front of our property, and it takes roughly 5 minutes to walk end to end from the Filly to the Vineyard. The Cabin is set back roughly 60 metres from the A337. Getting to Brockenhurst: Brockenhurst Taxis are the local taxi firm, and typically charge £4 – 8 for the journey. If driving it’s a 2 minute drive, there are several car parks within the village. Walking takes between 30 – 60 minutes, the longer and more scenic route is through Roydon woods, turning left after approx. half a mile, which takes you out to Church Lane. Or you can walk across the heathland (there’s a small gate on the opposite side of the main road at the end of our driveway), you can then walk along Sway Road into Brockenhurst. Unfortunately, the first 200 yards of Sway Road doesn’t have a pavement.
