- "We had a wonderful time staying at the lodge. We definitely felt like we were in a 5 star stay from the lovely Egyptian cotton bed linen to the generous welcome pack ! All bedrooms have an ensuite and Molton Brown toiletries. Bathrobes and lovely white fluffy towels. SMART TVs in each room as well means you can watch your fav TV if you’re desperate to catch up on something while you are away. The kitchen is very well equipped if you are cooking on your break however just over the garden wall is the Mayfield Hotel . We decided to treat ourselves to the carvery which was fantastic value and hit the spot . There is also a soft play in the hotel so the kids can have fun whilst you are dining. Backgarden is small but completely enclosed so if you have a dog with you it’s completely safe to potter out there . We enjoyed our stay so much we fully plan to book again in the summer . There is a lot of flights of stars in the cottage, so you need to be pretty mobile to stay here. Our big complaint is that the property is advertised as having parking! Parking should mean having access to a dedicated parking space 24/7. This is why we chose this cottage. Be warned this cottage has NO parking! A permit is provided to park for 1 hour to load...if you can get a space. A scratch card provided allows you to park for 3 hours only, over half a mile away, again only if you can get a space! Obviously on Goth Weekend these are full, and unless you want to spend your whole holiday watching the clock and moving your car around town, you will need to find somewhere you can park unrestricted, Be prepared to walk a long way, never need access to your car, and never need to move it as you will loose the spot! This cottage should not be advertised as having parking, it is misrepresented. It has none, and should be advertised as such. It is a shame because the cottage itself is lovely, despite the uncomfortable beds!"

Park street cottage is a cosy two bedroomed, end terraced self catering holiday home situated in the pretty market town of Masham in the Yorkshire Dales.

The cottage has a contemporary interior whilst still retaining the original beams and features making it a homely and comfortable place to stay.

The space
Park street cottage is in a superb location situated just behind Masham market square.

Inside Park street cottage you will find a contemporary setting which softly compliments the original features of the property. On the ground floor, positioned at the front of the cottage is a fully equipped modern kitchen complete with all modern appliances and dining table. The cosy sitting room is situated at the rear of the cottage and features original wooden beams with a 42" television and an electric flame fire surrounded by a stone fire place.

On the first floor we have one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The twin bedroom has the option of either two single beds or one double bed, please let us know which option you would prefer for your stay. The double bedroom has a wardrobe and the twin bedroom has a hanging rail with shelf. Both rooms have drawer space and again feature the charming chunky wooden beams.

Nestled between the two bedrooms is the family bathroom.

There is a small private, gravelled courtyard with table and chairs at the rear of the cottage, a lovely peaceful sitting area for the warmer months.

From the cottage you can easily walk to the local cafes, pubs, and famous Masham breweries, as well as the childrens park & tennis courts. You may even catch a local cricket tournament on a hot summers day!

The cottage keys are located in a key lock box at the property, you will receive the access code in your welcome email. You will also receive a welcome pack via email which presents itself with arrival & departure info, eating out recommendations and things to do locally in Masham.

The space
1. Lovingly renovated to a high standard, this unique and pleasant little cottage started its life as a lambing shed some 150 years ago and to this day, it is still surrounded by hundreds of acres of pleasant greeneries (you would most certainly see more wildlife than people!)

2. The cottage is detached and comes with its own dedicated garden, private entrance and private parking. Also, it is fields away from the nearest house – truly open and refreshing countryside

3. All beddings (Egyptian cotton, 500 TC) and towels are professionally cleaned by specialist laundry services

4. Being on top of a hill and situated between two charming medieval villages, you will be able to enjoy many scenic views, as far as 20 miles on a clear day

5. Given its uniqueness and high property costs of this attractive and much sought-after village area, we are trying our best to keep the cottage’s price as low as possible without compromising on quality!

PLEASE NOTE:

1. This is an uniquely secluded and beautiful place. The nearest dwelling to the hill-top cottage is about 1/3 mile away and the country lane is bumpy and narrow, so if you don’t enjoy being far away from other houses, find bumpy lane and hilly walks challenging, and cannot stand mud (countryside can be muddy when it’s wet), then this place wouldn’t be right for you

2. If you would like to avoid the uneven country lane, please park in the village ((it’s about 5-10 minutes walk from the village centre to the cottage).

3. Onsite parking is by the entrance gate. It’s about 110 meters uphill (partly steep) walk from the onsite car park to the cottage. If the path is dry enough, you could take your luggage to and from the cottage in your car. To avoid being stuck, please park in the onsite gravel car park or in the village.

4. Standard check-in time is from 3pm to 8pm, if you would like a different check-in time, please let us know. It is recommended to check in before sunset (for better visibility and navigation through the narrow country lane)

5. The kitchen is compact with basic items (an oven, a hob, 2 plates, 2 bowls, a microwave, a fry pan and a sauce pan), so would be okay for some simple cooking and dining.

6. Strictly no smokers/no heavy drinkers/no parties please

The space
A spacious cottage within a complex of 3 cottages with one double bedroom and an open plan kitchen/diner/living room. Underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. Dogs are welcome, though not allowed upstairs, with prior approval please. We ask you not to leave your dogs unattended in the cottage please.

Brook House Cottage is located adjacent to the village cricket pitch and within walking distance of the village of Markington with views of the countryside. Nicely presented open plan, self contained cottage with oak beams set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. A perfect place for relaxation and ideal for your staycation. It is a good base for walkers and cyclists, with Harrogate, Ripon and York on the doorstep. Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks just a few minutes drive away. Dogs welcome.

The space
The cottage is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen with nespresso coffee machine. As you go into the cottage there is a hallway which leads into the downstairs bathroom and open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. From the hallway are the stairs leading up to the mezzanine where the bedroom is located that sleeps 2. Under floor heating and log burning fire. Towel rail in the bathroom.

Guest access
The cottage has its own entrance. Guests have outdoor access to front of the cottage. There is a table and 2 chairs here to enjoy the sunshine in an evening and the views of the countryside. We have no neighbours.

Other things to note
There is a public foot path that runs at the front of the cottage which is part of the Ripon Rowel Walk. This is where the outdoor seating area is.

When It’s cricket season there may be a cricket game to enjoy on a Saturday afternoon. We will arrange to cover the kitchen window with a guard to avoid broken windows.

EV charging is not available.

A beautiful characterful cottage in a peaceful location next to the river in the heart of Holmfirth and is the perfect place to relax and a short stroll to independent shops, bakeries, bars and restaurants. There’s plenty to do with popular folk, art, film, food festivals or why not book a wine tasting tour of Holmfirth Vineyard or catch a gig at the Picture Drome. Also a walking and cycling enthusiast's paradise with the Peak District National Park, Pennine Way and moorland on your doorstep.

No on site parking but limited free parking spaces available and free 1 hr parking opposite Elephant and Castle pub which is a 2 min walk over the bridge and plenty of car parks through the village - all cheap.

Other things to note
Lane has no street lighting so recommend using phone torch if arriving when dark and there are torches in the cottage to use during stay.
Doorway has a light sensor and activates overhead lamp.

Part of the joy of self-catering is the freedom to eat when and what you want. Cooking will be a pleasure in the well-equipped kitchen and dinning area, with electric stove-top and oven, and a microwave.

Wesley Cottage is a doublefronted stone built cottage located on the Beckside at Staithes, a very short walk from the beach and the heart of the village.

This very spacious cottage offers all the amenities you would expect in a modern house including free WiFi, dishwasher and freezer
At the same time it is cosy and private.

Wesley Cottage has a unique setting and is favoured by artists with its backdrop of fishing boats and the herring gulls circling around the cliff.

The space
The ground floor is spacious, modern and open plan comprising a modern kitchen with electric hob and oven and microwave. There are a range of cupboards and the kitchen is well equipped.

There is a dining area with a table and chairs, there is also a high chair available. The sitting area with 2 settees around a multi fuel burning stove. The electric radiators are a new feature and they are operated remotely. Please don’t try to adjust them as they are only operated remotely.

The winding iron staircase leads to 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed with bedside tables, lights and a chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and chest of drawers. Under one bed is a floor mattress which is substantial and comfortable. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS BED.
A travel cot is available please mention if you would like to use it as it is not always on the premises.

There is a family bathroom, bath, toilet and an electric shower over the bath. There is also a full length radiator, the switch for this is near the door in bedroom 2 at skirting board level.

The utility area leads from the kitchen. It has a freezer.
This area is useful for muddy shoes and damp clothing as well as pushchairs or bikes. There’s an airier for damp clothing. There is access to the utility area from outside should you wish to enter there if you have wet clothing. There is a key for the utility on the key ring

The cottage is raised up off the road and so has a private space for sitting out. There is a folded table and 2 chairs in the utility room as well as an outside bench

My place is ideal for families and a small pet is welcome at no extra cost.
There is a 2 night minimum.
