Set in the chocolate box village of Giggleswick in the Yorkshire dales national park.
The cottage dates back to 1910, but having been extensively refurbished to a very high standard. There is a delightful courtyard garden with ample seating and a side gate to the beck. A 2 min walk along the beck to the village with excellent pub serving good food and fine ales. The property is 10 minutes walk from the market town of Settle plenty of amenities inc shops, restaurants, cafes, local market, swimming pool plenty of walks and settle Carlisle steam railway. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 with 2 bathrooms, large kitchen/diner, lounge with gas woodburner. Off street parking for 1 car ONLY , if you have additional vehicles please let the owner know in advance as parking is restricted. Walking from the door is excellent, the 3 peaks challenge, cycling heaven, plenty of local eateries all within spitting distance.
There are fields next to the cottage for your 4 legged pal to roam, all the pubs are dog friendly and even treats on the bar!

There are numerous cafes in the town and 2 train stations for exploring on foot but if you have a car and want to explore the neighbouring villages, you will not be disappointed, Malham cove, Grassington, Ingleton waterfalls, Aysgarth Falls, Stainforth Foss or even the Lake district which is only an hour away!

The cottage has a basket full of all the information you need you are wanting to walk, cycle, train, eat, sightsee, history, gardens to visit, stately homes etc.....

It was nice and warm and there was plenty of hot water. The only downside was the parking, we couldn't use the space as we have quite a large car as did the people in the neighbouring cottage. We parked in the main car park which was a 2 minute walk away and only cost £15 for a week. Would definitely recommend this property for couples wanting to explore the area."

This charming cottage, oozing with character, is set in a quiet corner of the old part of the delightful market town of Settle. Just 400 yards from the market square with its many independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Beautifully modernised but retaining its original character with exposed stone work, wood lintels and cast iron range (decorative only). The cottage is centrally heated throughout.

As you can see from the photos, the cottage has a steep staircase and might not be suitable for those with restricted mobility.
Outside there is a lovely garden area with a wooden bench, and a table and chairs to sit, relax and hopefully catch some sunshine!

The cottage is located at the top of a steep hill (aptly named Constitution Hill!) which leads from the market square and the old streets are narrow. The cottage does not have its own designated/private parking spot and on street parking is limited. There are a couple of nearby public car parks that operate on a pay and display basis and usually have plenty of space. The market square also has a limited disc zone parking system on non market days.
You can however get a car right up to the cottage to drop off/pick up eg.on arrival/departure.

The cottage is located just a short walk to the town centre.
It has an upside down plan with a double bedroom and access to the bathroom with it's roll top bath on the ground floor.
Upstairs is a small lounge/ kitchen/dining area. Off the kitchen area is a loft space accessed by a ladder with further double bed (please note there is a small extra charge for this). Outside the cottage is a small seating area to enjoy a nice cold drink after a day walking in the beautiful Yorkshire dales.

The space
Bedroom 1: Located on the ground floor and consisting of double bed.

Bathroom: This is accessed via Bedroom 1 and is equipped with a small roll top bath and shower ( access to the shower would require stepping into the bath).

Lounge/Dining Area: The cosy lounge and dining area consists of a sofa and dining table with stools and a bench that seats up to 4 people. This is accessed by a staircase from the ground floor. Due to fact this is an old building the stairs are steep and narrow and therefore not suitable for small children and anyone with mobility issues.

Kitchenette: The kitchen area is equipped with oven ( fan oven and gas hob), fridge freezer and microwave.

LOFT ROOM: Accessed via a ladder off the lounge area is a further double bed. As it is a loft space head room is limited. Please note that anyone staying in this room would have to access the bathroom located through bedroom one.

Potter around the shops in Settle and find pubs and cafes to dine out in. Lace up your walking boots and hike 1.5 miles to see Scaleber Force Waterfall. The impressive, huge curved, limestone rock formation of Malham Cove is 7.5 miles by car from the cottage, while the picturesque, glacial lake of Malham Tarn is 7 miles away. Have a day out to pretty Grassington, 15.5 miles away, with its stone cottages, cobbled square and colourful independent shops.

Car parking is available once you’ve dropped bags, a two minute walk to Greenfoot Car Park, which costs £2 per night.

There is no garden in our cottage but the front of house is a morning sun trap, with pretty bench. The rear view is over a quiet, delightful neighbouring garden.

Location: Settle is a bustling market town, in the Yorkshire Dales. The town has five or six restaurants, a large Booths for groceries, and a bookshop and small Co-op.

Hiking and relaxation: Amazing walks, along the river and across limestone and the moorland tops, right out of the door. A shoot and spa is at Coniston Cold.

Travel: The railway station connects you to Lancaster and Leeds, in around one hour.

Number of persons: This is a large one-bedroom cottage, with a super-king sized bed - and so suitable for 2 persons. The reading room can be prepared for a child to sleep in, with advance notice.

Pets: Dogs are very welcome. Please look after our property.

Austwick is a lovely little village with everything you need; a great pub and village shop.

Get away from it all in a little bit of paradise!

The space
Walk straight from your doorstep around the surrounding areas, to Oxenber Woods a site of special scientific interest which is right behind the property, up to the limestone pavement, or further to the Norber erratics. A 10 minute easy stroll will take you into the village of Austwick itself. With views of Ingleborough and sitting between the 3 peaks, you can take on some harder terrain or stay at the cottage snuggled up in front of the log burning stove which heats the whole cottage or taking in the scenery from the private garden.

On your return, relax and clean up, one of the en suite bathrooms has a bath for those who enjoy a long soak, the other has a shower. All toiletries are provided.

If you bring children, they are sure to enjoy the table football, dolls house, various games or the Nintendo Wii. If they prefer the outdoors, there are 2 pygmy goats and plenty of chickens to pet. Do please note that there is no young child equipment or safety features at the cottage, and no freezer.
We do have an EV charger available (usage will be charged for).

Guest access
The cottage is attached to the main farmhouse located about 3/4 mile down a quiet bridleway with no other dwellings nearby. It has its own private garden and access. There is no access to the rest of the property, garden or fields. Please do not ask to access these areas as refusal may cause offence.

There is a key safe so you can self check in and out.

Parking available for 2 cars only please.

Dogs are welcome but we ask that you please clean up after them and you do let us know if you plan to bring one.

The cottage is self catering only.
We do have an EV charger installed that you will be able to use, however all use will be charged for.

All bed linen, towels, basic toiletries and a few welcome supplies are provided.

Please note the narrow and in places bumpy access lane with high stone walls either side. The only vehicles having access down the lane are us and our guests so meeting passing cars is unlikely. Parking is for 2 cars only please. We would prefer that guests do not book taxis to come to the property and please do not book any deliveries.

Please note the property is only suitable for 4 guests. Extra guests are not permitted even as day guests or infants. This property is not suitable for young children.

Please also note there is a fridge in the fully equipped kitchen but no freezer.

Although dogs are welcome, we politely request that they are not allowed in the bedrooms, on the beds or any of the other furniture and that they are cleaned up behind. Also that you let us know if you plan to bring a dog.

We provide a charcoal BBQ and utensils but not the charcoal or firelighters for it. Please also note that the BBQ will need to be cleaned after use.

Please respect our privacy and our animals by not accessing other areas of the farmhouse or land. Please do not request access as refusal may cause offence.

Our newly converted cottage is located 50 yards from the centre of Settle which has a excellent range of restaurants, pubs and shops. The location, although central, is only yards from the National Park with stunning walks from the front door.
Registry Cottage has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. The lounge/kitchen is on the first floor, which makes the most of the great views.
There is also a relaxed seated mezzanine area.
We are dog friendly.

The space
The large upstairs space is vaulted with very tall windows bringing in masses of light. Above the kitchen there is a mezzanine area with two large armchairs and table with games, great for kids to do their own thing or adults to relax.
The bedrooms are both very cosy and comfortable, the master bedroom has a comfortable chair for reading.
The cottage (converted from the towns registry office) with all it's interesting features has been a real labour of love and we are extremely proud of it.
N. B. During this difficult period we have altered our cleaning regime to pay extra attention (using disinfectant and steam cleaners) to areas that are touched regularly, such as doorknobs, drawer pulls, the toilet flush lever, faucet handles, remote controls, light switches, seating areas, etc.
We have also supplied the cottage with plenty of tissue, disposable paper towels and hand soap.

The cottage is a listed building containing many original features balanced with modern facilities for a perfect stay.

Situated adjacent to the National Trust car park, it’s a perfect base for the 3 peaks. The house has many walking books for guests use if people want to explore the surrounding area.

The cottage is situated very close to the National Trust car park (less than 1 minute walk), there are 2 parking passes available for guests use. The passes allow guests to park in the reserved spaces next to the cottage at no cost for their entire stay.

Other things to note
The cottage is in a village setting with stunning views of Pen y Ghent, Horton is a village with a single road running through it, the cottage stands next to this road, and so there may be occasional traffic noise.

This tastefully renovated grade 2 listed property is conveniently located at the start of the Yorkshire 3 peaks walk. There are stairs to a mezzanine level with a super king zip and link pocket sprung bed which can be split to form two singles.

Crooklands Cottage is set looking out onto the beautiful Yorkshire Dales a short distance from Austwick village, where both the Gamecock Pub and Traddock Hotel serve great food.
This recently refurbished detached holiday cottage with log burner is ideally placed to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the Three Peaks and provide a retreat to come home to at the end of your day.
Every care has been taken with the design, to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

The space
Level access, Large Open plan Lounge/Diner. Kitchen will all amenities . Low level hob and kitchen worksurface, wine cooler , oven , fridge freezer , Dish washer. Wood burning stove, underfloor heating. Wet room with level access walk in shower suitable for wheelchair users and a (Japanese style deep soaking tub) . Washer and Dryer for guest convenience.

En-suite bathroom also with level access.

Other things to note
So guests are aware our cottage is quite close to a main road , around 20 meters. It is fully walled and also has wooden farm type gates. The gap under the gate is 10 cm . If you have any concerns about children, dogs or road noise please do not book or contact us first to discuss. We live close by and have never had any noise issues and the cottage is newly built so has double glazing and acoustic insulation.

The 2 bedroom cottage is based in the heart of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, the base of the Three Peaks Walk. We welcome 2 well behaved pets . A welcome pack and first fire wood, coal is supplied for you. Front garden to sit and enjoy the views of Pen-y-ghent, or enjoy breakfast in bed with the view.
Please note we are a dog friendly cottage. We take great care in our cleaning after each guest yet sometimes a few hairs can still be around.

The traditional family home boasts charming original features including exposed wooden beams and vaulted ceilings. It’s been renovated to an exquisite standard, with quality flooring, tiling and soft furnishings to ensure a comfortable stay. The open-plan kitchen-diner is airy and spacious, with ceiling windows allowing plenty of light in. Prepare hearty meals using local ingredients, then tuck in at one of two dining spots. Head up the smooth oak staircase to the lovely lounge, equipped with a wood burner to keep everyone toasty. At night, choose from two charming king-size bedrooms, both served by en-suite shower rooms. Outside, you’ll have a pretty stone-floor yard for enjoying good weather, including a sheltered area with a table and chairs for relaxing.

You’ll find plenty to keep you busy nearby, whether that’s exploring local beauty spots like Victoria Cave (2 miles) or Malham Cove (7.5 miles), a 70m limestone rock formation popular with walkers and climbers. At Settle station (350 metres), board a train for a scenic ride taking in the spectacular 24-arched Ribblehead Viaduct and the highest train station in England. Mountain biking is also popular in this area, or you can enjoy a round of golf at the course just over 1 mile away. At Stocks Reservoir (12 miles), you can take a 7-mile circular walk winding through the magnificent Gisburn Forest.
