- "We enjoyed our time at the cottage. The village of Haworth is lovely with lots of good eateries, and there are lovely walks around the area without having to drive. The cottage was fine, good heating system so nice and warm. There's a log burner and enough tiny bits of wood to start a fire but not for more than half an hour max (need to provide at least a nights worth of logs folks). There is a good shower and all the equipment you'd need. My only gripe really is the supposed off road parking. It is possible to drive to the front of the house down the alley, bit if you leave the car there you're blocking next door as its only wide enough for one car, and you risk being blocked in by residents. So I parked on the road and hoped it would be OK. No charge, but it's a residential area and parking outside someone else's house is not always popular."

The space
My lovely Haworth cottage has served me well as my own home in the past, so much so that I couldn’t bare to part with it and I still take the opportunity to stay whenever possible (but don’t worry, you’d never know, no personal belongings are present, the cottage is all yours during your stay.) I love it, the house, the village, the people, the atmosphere, the amazing walks straight from the doorstep and I hope you will too.

The cottage, as with most Haworth cottages, is of an age. The stairs are carpeted and there is a hand rail but they are steeper and narrower than you’d find in a modern home. Other than that it has all the mod cons wrapped up in a warm, homely cottage environment including smart tv, wifi, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Downstairs the living / kitchen / dining space is open plan to allow for as much of the space to be used as possible. The garden is a hidden gem in a cottage so close to the cobbles, private, same level as the cottage (bar one step,) quiet, hardly overlooked, and a sun trap in the summer.

Other things to note
The stairs are as to be expected in a property of this age, they are quite steep and narrower than in a modern property however they are carpeted and there is a hand rail.

The street is a private dead end road with only four cottages on it, each cottage owns the area of land directly to the front as such this can be used for parking for one small size vehicle however please do allow space for the neighbour to drive up alongside and park outside their property. Should you prefer not to use the space, parking along Sun Street is free and extremely close by.

This cottage is an ideal location for monthly stays during this covid-19 time.

We’d originally booked for June but unfortunately had to cancel at the very last minute (in fact on the day) due to illness. We communicated this to Colin and Pam (as well as Sandra the housekeeper) who were more than happy to accommodate us at a later date at our convenience. To this end, we’ve just returned from a very pleasant 8 night stay in this lovely cottage which is every bit as wonderful as detailed on-line and in previous guest reviews. Very cosy and well appointed and with the added benefits of both an en-suite and full bathroom, as well as free on-street parking right outside. The cottage is ideally situated for all the local shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as the KWVR. And if you want to travel out of town, without taking the car, there are good local bus services. 

Main Street itself is only a 5 minute walk and is very steep but luckily the cottage is at the lower end so it’s always easier getting home, especially if you’re like me and have ‘dodgy knees’ 😄

The cottage is highly recommended and we wouldn’t hesitate in returning and indeed are planning to do so as there still many places we need to visit.

The Whole cottage is self contained and of sole use to the guest. Large secure floodlit parking area. The fields to the front and rear and sides of the property are ours and you are welcome to explore them. Garage available at extra £10 per night for a motorbike or classic car etc.

We named our house from the Kate Bush song!
This was our second Bronte Country cottage, and we instantly fell in love with it because of
the truly breath-taking views all around. This well-hidden, traditional Yorkshire stone house
is just a few minutes’ walk from Haworth’s charming Main Street, yet overlooks quiet
countryside, and the beautiful Worth Valley.

The space
Fall in Green Cottage offers a tranquil escape
from the noise and rush of everyday life, with lots of sheep, and the occasional highland cow
for neighbours over the garden fence. Our guests can start their day with breakfast in the
conservatory, and watch the steam trains from the historic Worth Valley Railway pass through
the trees at the bottom of the hill.

The house is decorated in calming shades of soft greens and whites, with lots of natural
illustrations on the walls featuring local plants and wildlife to make our guests feel that
they’ve really escaped to an oasis of calm in the midst of a hectic life. There is a wood
burning stove for extra coziness, and a garden outside for an evening glass of wine.
Just a few minutes away is Haworth’s lovely Main Street, with very original little gift shops,
quirky cafes and bars, and award-winning restaurants. Why not come and have a cup of
Yorkshire Tea in a place that could not be more Yorkshire!
If you visit is a little bit longer, Haworth is a great base for trips to Hebden Bridge and
Skipton, and all that the Dales have to offer. Parking is directly outside the house on a quiet
hill.

The cottage is over two floors The welcoming living room is bright and airy, and has two
comfortable sofas from John Lewis, complete with snuggle blankets. There is a TV that has a
stack of DVDs in case you want to go old school, and a well-stocked bookcase if reading is
more your holiday vibe. There is a wood burning stove for lighting while you have your glass
of wine, and the kitchen is adjoining, so not far to go to the fridge for top ups! The
conservatory is the real delight of the house, and you may just decide to hang out in there for
your whole stay. Many guests tell us this is the case!
Upstairs there is one bedroom, complete with our famous ‘golden pear tree’ wallpaper, and a
bathroom with both a shower and a bath (even the bath offers views!) The garden is split into
two areas, one with decking for outdoor relaxation, and the other rewilded, to support the
local flora and fauna (we have lots of both!) Dogs are very welcome, and parking is available
directly outside on a quiet hill. Sleeps two humans!
