- "We stayed in Stables 2 and it was a beautiful and cosy apartment. A friendly cat greeted us and made sure we we were all settled in :) and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of red wine, cookies, a nespresso machine with four pods and firewood for the fire. The kitchen is kitted out perfectly and had everything we needed. The bathroom was nice, with a shower and spme toiletries and all very clean. We had the best sleep in the bed, which was more comfy than my own bed, so now I'm thinking I need a new mattress! The pillows were 5* pilllows - so comfy! There were lovely little touches from the art work on the walls, the heart with fairly lights on it on the dresser where you walk in, to a little book of Yorkshire poems which my other half found funny listening to me read in my Manchester accent - he sounded much better reading them with his Yorkshire accent! There are plenty of places to eat in this beautiful little village and lovely walks to be taken. Thank you to the attentive host for checking in with us to make sure all was okay, too."

Close to areas of outstanding natural beauty such as Malhamdale, Grassington and the Forest of Bowland and only a relatively short distance from The Lake District and even closer to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Settle has a very good choice of restaurants including Italian and Indian as well as excellent traditional pub food. There are also numerous tearooms and cafes - so if you don't want to make your own breakfast then you can be catered for less than a few minutes away from the apartment.
Walking, cycling, riding & caving are just some of the activities available locally.
In the evenings there are often concerts at the Victoria Hall and in some of the pubs there are regular folk and jazz evenings.
Settle is also home to the world famous Settle to Carlisle railway. The 72 mile route takes you on a journey through the magnificent Yorkshire Dales over the 24 arches of the Ribble Head viaduct through the Eden Valley before arriving at the border city of Carlisle.
Also a great base for the 3 Peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside.

The two double beds are small 4 foot versions so scarcely big enough for two adults. Blinds did not block out any light and something thicker needed for summer months when it gets light very early. A simple coffee plunger and a microwavable dish would not cost much but would be very useful"

Perfectly located in the centre of the beautiful market town of Settle on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. This pet friendly flat is ideal for a walking holiday or for a relaxing break enjoying the scenery and making the most of the lovely restaurants, bars (one of which is downstairs), cafes and shops in the town.
The flat is on the high street and located on the first and second floors with 3 bedrooms, a large dining kitchen and a roof terrace where you can enjoy lunch or drinks outside.
The space
The building dates back to the 18th Century and was originally a blacksmiths and warehouse. It's full of character and charm and there's barely a straight wall in the place. There are quite a few steps in the property which make it unsuitable for toddlers and small children.
The place is a little frayed around the edges which is reflected in the price but it is clean, large and comfortable and fantastically located.
The main bathroom was fully refurbished in 2022 and the kitchen is well kitted out with a double oven, integrated fridge, freezer and dishwasher and I've always found it a joy to cook in.
There is one double bedroom with en-suite shower room on the 1st floor and a further 2 double bedrooms and house bathroom with a wonderfully large bath with shower over on the 2nd floor. Perfect for relaxing those aching bones after a big walk. The first floor bedroom has some quirky low beams so do watch your head!
There is a small roof terrace which gets the sun from late morning until late afternoon and is ideal for a light lunch or just relaxing with a book.

The kitchen/diner includes fridge/freezer, double oven and microwave (and a kettle/toaster of course!) - with a dining table for 5, and comfy sofa and armchair to chat together whilst cooking. The log burner and exposed stone walls and beams are a beautiful feature of the property.
The main bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second bedroom is also a double with wardrobe, drawers and a desk/dressing table. The third bedroom has a single bed and chest of drawers. Fresh bed linen and towels provided.
