There is also a charcoal BBQ but we did not use. The host couples are very helpful. When we accidently turned off the boiler, they came and checked on us almost immediately. Nestling in a quiet rural setting Hilderstone Stable was converted recently into a contemporary high quality 2 bed cottage. 5 mins north of J35 M6. This cottage is ideally located for exploring the Lake District, Arnside/Silverdale AONB, Leighton Moss and Yorkshire Dales. The settlement of Hilderstone can be traced back to the 13th century. The barn was built originally in c1750. There is still a working farm as part of the 200 acre Hilderstone Farm. A great base for outdoor activities.

The space
Ideal for one or two couples or a couple and 2 older children due to cottage layout (see floor plan photo). Spacious well appointed fitted kitchen with electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge, ice machine, dishwasher, washing machine and TV. Dining area allows for socialising. Both bedrooms with lovely comfortable beds and en-suite facilities. Spacious lounge with TV and Bluetooth Bose docking speaker.

Guests have the entire cottage with a private patio entrance and seating area including a covered well adding a unique feature. Further private patio area accessed from lounge. Parking available for 2 cars. Access via electric gates for added security.

Wi-Fi signal improved October2022, with now good coverage throughout the property.
For guests with dogs, there is a paved yard at the entrance to Hilderstone Stable which can be secured when the gate stored behind the oil tank is pulled across. There is also a recently secured and paved patio area at the front of the property, with gated access to the lawn for exclusive use by our guests.

Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen with dining area. On the upper floor, one bedroom with twin beds, sitting room and newly refurbished bathroom with shower unit, toilet and washbasin.
Guests are welcome to use the garden behind the cottage , which is accessed by 3 steps with handrail. With gas central heating, and space for parking, the cottage is situated on a quiet lane in Grindleton, 3 miles from the market town of Clitheroe.

Come and stay in this charming character cottage in the historic Market Town of Ormskirk. The fantastic location, only 5 minutes stroll to the town centre, offers an abundance of amenities right on your doorstep. Bluebell Cottage is a perfect base to just relax or to enjoy all that Ormskirk and the surrounding area has to offer.

The space
Tucked away on edge of the town centre is this well presented, comfy period cottage. It has 1 double bedroom sleeping 2 adults and 1 child in cot (available in request). We are dog friendly and 2 well behaved dogs are welcome (we do ask that they do not go on the furniture or upstairs and are not left unattended).

Features cozy living room with log effect electric fire and smart TV, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and a large modern bathroom with bath and shower over.

Outside there is a private enclosed front garden and enclosed rear courtyard with patio furniture.

Hive central heating keeps the cottage warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer.

There is a small free car park directly opposite the cottage and plenty of free nearby on road parking. Additionally there is a long stay car park a couple of minutes walk away.

Due to the age of the cottage some people may find the stairs a little steep so please bear this in mind, especially for guests with lower mobility. The bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

The space

A charming converted apple store at the foot of Warton Crag with offstreet parking and sunny private patio. One double bedroom and one single. Ideal for South Lakes and Dales, Leighton Moss RSPB, Arnside and Silverdale AONB, M6 and local pubs.

The space
Fernbank was originally an apple barn, now converted to a comfortable 2 storey end of terrace self catering holiday cottage. Ideal for couples but can accommodate three. There is a cosy double bedroom with a standard double bed, (4'6" x 6'3"; 135 cm x 190 cm) and also another single room with an unusual 'bunk style' single bed with a short ladder to climb. High chair and travel cot available. One of the leather sofas in the lounge is also a sofa bed if needed. There is a spacious fitted kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The compact bathroom has been completely redecorated and refitted with a walk-in shower in January 2017. The patio is private and fully enclosed. Minimum stay 3 nights. Prices vary with the season, please check.

Guests will have the cottage to themselves, a private patio and space for parking. Access is via a private alleyway between the cottage and our house.

Church View Cottage. Delightful cottage in the Ribble Valley

The space
A delightful period cottage nestled on the edge of the Ribble Valley, Church View Cottage, overlooking the beautiful historic village church is the perfect escape to the countryside with many walks and cycling routes nearby.

Gisburn, a pretty village boasting an award winning Italian restaurant*, deli café and pub is conveniently situated only 7 miles from Clitheroe and 10 miles from Skipton.

These beautiful market towns are steeped in history and offer many quality independent shops, restaurants and bars.

Situated on the A59, the cottage is a perfect base for visiting many popular destinations such as the Yorkshire Dales, Bolton Abbey, the Three Peaks, the Ribble Valley and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Recently renovated with quality and comfort in mind, Church View will welcome you with open arms.

On the ground floor, Church View Cottage offers a lounge/dining area with open fire, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and washing machine.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has a very comfortable King-size bed from the Yorkshire bedmakers, Harrison Spinks along with hanging space, dressing table and phone charging bedside lamps. A white noise machine is also provided to aid a restful nights sleep.

The second bedroom has a single bed with fitted wardrobes and dressing table.
The stylish bathroom has a bath with shower over.

Outdoors: enclosed courtyard, spacious enclosed garden and a parking space.

The road outside the cottage can be busy at times, however, I have recently installed an additional internal glazing panel in the front bedroom to soundproof it.
