Our only very very small constructive criticism for this property would be that there are only 5 dining chairs available and as there were 6 of us we had to use an armchair as the 6th which wasnt the worst thing in the world but would have been nice to have a 6th dining chair! The top flight of stairs was also very creaky 😅🙈 Either way we had a fantastic time and we are so grateful about how nice this property was and was easy to drive from here to Leeds and Manchester during our stay too. I do live at the property with my small dog Pickle. However, if I am not at work. I am usually out horse riding, walking, at the gym or at family/friends, Pickle comes with me. The space
Perfect for a spring or summer getaway in a snuggly little Cottage.

Hygge Cottage is locally known as a top and bottom house or an "underdwelling". It's underneath another house built into the hill. It's all on the ground floor on a usually quiet road.

The bedroom has a beautiful original stone floor, with locally handmade furniture with a snuggly Yorkshire made mattress.

The kitchen has recently been remodeled. The unfinished Oak shelves add to the modern but vintage feel.

The bathroom is a wet room as a way of saving space, but still allows for a Rainfall Shower.

We have a Ring doorbell camera by the keysafe. it's purely to make sure no one is trying to get into the cottage who shouldn't. This is the only camera on the property.

Hygge Cottage is small and cosy, it has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Most people who stay are out enjoying the countryside and the pretty town with a host of bars and restaurants to choose from. We don't have any outside space of our own (other than a bench) but there is plenty of space all around.
It's only 10 minutes on the train to Halifax to watch a concert or visit the boutique shops and restaurants at the spectacular Piece Hall or enjoy the laid back atmosphere of Hebden Bridge and surrounding villages. Don't forget to visit the Piece Hall in Haifax and Heptonstall. Set atop the hillside, hundreds of feet above Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall is one of the most historic villages in Yorkshire, beguiling the visitor with its quiet charm.

Other things to note
There's plenty to do in lovely West Yorkshire other than enjoying the lovely sunshine and sitting outside at a stylish restaurant.

It's a short drive or a bus ride to Howarth or the spectacular Piece Hall in Halifax. If you haven't visited the Piece Hall, you must. Especially for one of the many concerts.

Hygge Cottage has everything you'll need with hand made furniture and an amazing comfortable bed, Bedding, towels and a welcome pack are included to make sure you can arrive and be comfortable straight away. The kitchen has everything you'll need including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, oven and induction hob. You'll find a corkscrew and tin opener. Folly Cottage is a quaint and quirky stone-built, mid-terrace period property in the heart of the picturesque village of Haworth, so provides an ideal base from which to explore this gorgeous part of West Yorkshire with easy access to Hebden Bridge, Skipton, and Harrogate.

The space
Folly Cottage combines a contemporary feel with original period features including exposed stone and beams, flagstone flooring, feature fireplaces, and the original stone staircase.
The two-floor accommodation comprises of a double bedroom, a shower room with a newly-installed soaker shower, basin, and WC, and a compact but well-equipped fitted kitchen. The comfortable sitting room, with dining area, has a large feature fireplace with a wood burning stove, so guests can relax in front of a real fire and listen for the distant sound of the steam train whistle. At the rear of the property, there is a small outdoor seating area, and to the front, there is roadside parking for one car.

This charming, stone-built terraced cottage is situated in a residential area just 2 miles from Oakworth and Haworth which both boast some lovely eaterues, cafes, pubs and restaurants as wel as antique and quaint shops.
It is comfortable accommodation that is an ideal touring base for those looking to visit Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales. Many come to visit the parsonage where the Brontes lived during the 1820s and see the surrounding moorlands where they drew inspiration for their classic tales, as well as their museums.
While there is something for everyone in the town itself, the nearby market town of Skipton, boasting cobbled streets, a medieval castle and award-winning high street makes a wonderful day out.
Further afield, are Hebden Bridge and the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, as well as the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, just over half an hour's drive away.

There's a fantastic convenience store only 5 minutes walk down the road, which is also on the way to Ingrow Railway station (ideal to hop on the train to visit Haworth and the other wonderful areas within the Bronte Parsonage. Also, guests have found that the 'Main Street' in Haworth has great pubs and a 'Gin Bar' where the staff are wonderful and always recommend different gins to try! There are some lovely pubs in Oakworth as well. In Stanbury there is a local pub called 'Wuthering Heights' that does great food, and you can sit and relax outside looking over the stunning fields.

Parking is on a first come first serve basis, but there is usually space opposite the cottage on the road. Sunday evenings can be a little busier sometimes but again, most guests find a space to park.
Please let us know in advance if there will be more than one car so that we can ensure that you and the neighbours have space not too far down the road where possible.

"Our small riverside terraced cottage boasts an idyllic view across the River Calder and Rochdale canal and up onto the wooded valley sides. Built in 1860 for workers at the nearby cotton mill, this home has many period and original features. Whether you are cooking in the kitchen, relaxing in front of the wood burning stove, laying in bed or luxuriating in the gorgeous feature bath, there is a stunning view to be seen from every window. If you are lucky you may see an otter or mink swim by.

The space
Our home is small and cosy with many origional features.
The floor of our living room has been made from reclaimed sliced beams from the nearby wool mill and is approx 200 years old (please take off your shoes and clean any spills immediately)
We have a beautiful wood burning stove oven, which can be used on request.
Our bathroom over looking the river and canal has a volcanic fibre bath tub which means the water will remain warm while you take in the views.

Take a stroll along the canal towpath towards Hebden to see the local natural history and beautiful canal side gardens.
The first pub you will reach after a 10 minute walk is Stubbin's Wharf.The kitchen serves a large menu of hearty meals (the portions are large and very good value) and the friendly bar serves a wide variety of guest beers, ales and ciders

A delightful, Grade II Listed weavers cottage, with a wonderful walks right from the door.

The cottage is in the heart of 'Last of the Summer Wine' country, with great restaurants and bars close by in Holmfirth.

Guests often visit the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (a drive away) and the Peak District, just a short drive away.

The space
The cottage is over three floors, the front of the cottage has a neat box edged garden.

The front door is up a few stone steps and has a pineapple door knocker.

The front door opens up into a small hallway, which has coat hooks and space to leave wellies and walking boots.

From the hallway, a door to the right opens into the kitchen.

The kitchen is dual aspect, with windows to the front of the cottage, and a stable door which overlooks the back garden.

The kitchen has an antique farmhouse table, two pink chairs, and is equipped with Smeg fridge, Rangemaster gas range cooker and washing machine and Evoke digital radio.

For coffee lovers, there is a KitchenAid Nespresso maker or cafetiere for your morning coffee (I provide a few pods to get you going, but if you are a coffee lover you may wish to bring some of your own too).

The kitchen has a picture perfect Yorkshire hearth, which is lit with fairy lights all year round!

The stable-door at the back of the kitchen leads to the back garden, which has a table and chairs.
In the summer, it is very pretty when in bloom, and there are lots of herbs too - please use them! In the winter, the garden has some box and holly in planters and as spring arrives the bulbs will appear.

The garden is planted in white, although if anything wild takes hold and the bees like it, then I leave them to come through too!

On the first floor are the lounge and bathroom.

The bathroom has a free standing bath, with a shower over the bath, basin and loo. Two big bath towel and hand towel are provided as well as WGAC loo paper. There are Neals Yard Remedies hand wash, hand lotion and bath foam in the bathroom, which are kept topped up for guests to use.

The lounge has a run of stone mullion windows to the front of the cottage, it has a two-seater sofa and a comfy chair. There is a tv (with Amazon Firestick to access BBC and ITV channels), Bose speakers that you can blue tooth to (I love listening to podcasts in here using the speaker).

There will be some nice magazines, cards and board games too - and the windowsill usually has some fresh foliage or flowers (from the garden if possible in the summer!).

On the top floor is the bedroom, which is a tranquil space with a double bed, fitted wardrobes, drawers, chevalier freestanding mirror and a vintage kidney-shaped dressing table.

There are four pillows (two softer, two bit squishier!) and a feather and down duvet. In the winter, there will be a bedspread too - for a really cosy sleep.

There is a Roberts radio next to the bed, perfect for some early morning Radio 2 listening!

There is an iron, ironing board and hairdryer provided in here too.

The cottage is no smoking (there are table and chairs in the garden with an upturned plant pot ashtray provided) and no candles.

Throughout the cottage there are some pretty wallpapers, lots of chandeliers and gorgeous soft furnishings.

The cottage is in a row of three Weavers cottages, and there is access over the back garden for all three cottages - this is not usually used unless it is the day for the wheelie bins to go out!

The cottage is the middle of three weavers' cottages, and although the garden is fenced and gated, the neighbours do have walking access over the garden - in practice it just means that you may see a neighbour wheeling their bin across the back garden on bin day!

The space
The cottage is cosy an d in the middle of town 5 mins from the train station 3 mins from the bus station.
The fast train to Manchester takes 20 mins, Leeds, Burnley, Howarth are also easy to get to. Hebden Bridge is 10 mins by bus. Our local architecture is outstanding with lot of local history, all of which you can find a lot out by visiting Weatherspoons. We have some of the best walking canals or hills up to our local Stoodley Pike.
