- "Lovely cottage just as described. Excellent communication with the host. Would definitely recommend." - "SUPER location and property for a large group. We had 20 people in total, rooms were a great size, mixed between single, double and bunk, with a combo of ensuite or not. All rooms a great size and very accommodating. The kitchen was massive with all the equipment you would need. Kids loved being outside, with all the land and freedom to roam, in a safe space. Barbara was lovely to communicate with and quite possibly makes the best flapjacks in the north. Others clearly agree from the comments I read in the guest notebook, as we were leaving. Really great accommodation and if we find ourselves in the area again, this property is one I would look to stay in."

- "Lovely cabin with a splendid garden, and attached field, perfect for dogs, especially those keen to swim, as Rudyard Lake is walkable. It's also run by friendly and helpful team" - "We recently stayed at Ivy Lodge for two nights. Living in a city it was nice to have such peace and quiet! There was no noise or light pollution which made for a relaxing weekend. The Lodge itself was spotless and very well thought out, with everything you need for a few days away.Open plan kitchen and lounge space and a good tv.The bed was very comfortable and we slept well!If we were to stay longer than two nights I would definitely have taken our airfryer for more cooking options, but the microwave and hob were adequate for the time we were there.A small footstool would be nice for the sofa area as we took it in turns to use the corner sofa area for leg rest! The lake is nearby, and whilst the area and very local facilities were not quite as we had thought, this is no reflection on the Lodge. We popped into Leek for drinks and food on the Saturday afternoon, had we stayed longer we probably would have gone further afield. Overall we had a lovely couple of days, thank you."

The location is beautiful however we required taxis to and from the wedding venue which was expensive due to location, even though the host was kind enough to offer us a lift we didn’t want to put on them. They were very nice and more than helpful. We would definitely stay at this property again."
