‘Mum's place’ sits at the bottom of our garden on the Mill stream running off the river Brue
Sit and watch the wildlife by day, kingfishers, buzzards, woodpeckers and beautiful deer just opposite. Dog walkers and visitors walk along the mill stream and will stop for a chat if you would like. We are part of Dark Skies UK so by night with little light pollution the sky comes alive, not only with the stars and moon but with bats and the local resident owl if you are lucky.
A definition of serenity.

Glastonbury is full of eclectic shops as well as bars, restaurants and museums to explore, where you can enjoy the 36 acres of Glastonbury Abbey and soak up the legends and myths of King Arthur, after learning all about the ruins from the excellent museum. Hop in the car and visit the designer outlet at Clarks Village in Street for some retail bargains, head to Cheddar to visit the famous gorge and sample some Yes Cheddar Cheese or see if you can find the Witch at Wookey Hole Caves!
The smallest city in the UK, Wells is definitely worth a visit, especially on market days, Wednesday and Saturday, when the streets come alive with local stalls by the cathedral.
