- "Spent a week at Branwen & Paul’s amazing cottage. Communication between me and Branwen prior to and during our stay was perfect. Beautiful setting. Beautiful location. Close to many major attractions, such as Caernarfon and Harlech Castles, Welsh Highland and Snowdon Railways, Portmeirion, countless gorgeous, quiet, unspoilt beaches. Coastal walks. Excellent places for eating out. Never a dull moment. Thank you for a truly memorable stay" - "We loved our stay at the cottage. It was larger than we expected, the photos on the web do not do it justice.Very well laid out. Everything we needed. So very peaceful. We were worried about the near by caravan site but it was extremely quiet, exclusive and unless you go up the lane further you would not know it was there. The cottage is detached and has a lovely little terrace to sit out on, we had a fire and BBQ. The coastal path was amazing. We spent many times on the local beaches. All just a few minutes away. Some of the paths are quite steep we were told there are more gradual ones but we enjoyed adventuring through, stunning views. The beaches were all very quiet. Often we were the only ones there. We love Wales and this was a fantastic location to expore. The cottage was so comfortable and private that we spent a lot of time just staying there. Loved seeing the rabbits playing in the evenings and the owls at night. It was a perfect get away and the hosts were fantastic, a balance of being there to ask any questions and respecting our privacy. I could not recommend the cottage more, excellent all round. Thank you for letting us stay in such a perfect cottage"

- "Clean overall but feels tired and dated (appears things are in progress?) especially in the kitchen, with Mismatched crockery and glasses, blunt knives (a bit dangerous when cutting). I know that Covid has stopped a lot of things but the lack of basic things like salt & pepper is frustrating. No plastic items for outside use, always needed especially if children around. The seating outside is extensive but is very uncomfortable after a while so needs cushions. The main beds are ok but the single beds are ready for new good quality mattresses along with pillows and linens. Towels were small and thin and smelt of chemicals. This is a good value for money property that would benefit from a few tweaks. You will not go wrong staying here . The owner was lovely and very helpful. I hope you will not be offended by this review."

- "Overall we loved the property. Was so comfortable for the whole family. The property was clean throughout and the location was perfect as all the places we wanted to visit were close by. One bit of feedback would be the boiler that we had to keep resetting due to the shower going cold so would advise that getting looked at. Other than that we loved It and would definitely recommend to others. " - "The property was clean as expected, but we forgot our cafetiere!. It was warm and comfortable, but the beds were a bit low for the two older members of the party. Bin instructions need amending, what little we had was not taken. We had a problem with the heating on the last two nights, but managed to get it firing-up. The property manager was very helpful, and got an engineer out to look at it remarkably promptly, unfortunately without success. We managed and we still had a great break. The Union Arms seems to be much improved. The Golden Fleece still good. Chippy still the best in the area. Shop very useful for essentials such as foil, toilet tissue and bin bags which were in short supply."

Cosy cottage with wood fired hot tub that has mountain and countryside views. The cottage is in a rural setting close to Criccieth and Mount Snowden, 3 Bedrooms, 1 bathroom. The lounge has a sofa bed . Bedding and towels provided. kitchen with a small dining table, a wood burning stove in the lounge. The rear garden has a large decking wood fired hot tub, and table and chairs. Logs and coal not provided. IMPORTANT: YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SET UP THE HOTTUB THE WATER CAN TAKE A LONG TIME TO HEAT

The space
We are very proud of our homely cottage and its beautiful, tranquil location. There are 2 double beds and a single bed, and a sofa bed in the lounge so technically enough to sleep 6 people but with 6 people the cottage will be a bit crowded. We love staying at the cottage with our family, it is perfect for our needs with our time usually spent out exploring the amazing surroundings. The wood fired hot tub is simple to use and we will be available on the phone for any questions you might have.

Guest access
The cottage is located at the end of a rural road/track where there is space directly outside the property for one car. There is space for other cars to unload but additional cars would need to park before the road leading up to the cottage (on Hen Lon). There are steps up to the property, and steps up to the rear decking.

Other things to note
We believe it fair to let you know that we do provide Wifi but due to our rural location it can be slower. We are also able to watch Netflix etc and use phones but it probably wouldn't be suitable for gaming or watching movies on several devices.

Please feel free to use the wood burning stove, wood and coal are not provided, please clean up the ash after use.

The cottage uses electricity for all appliances as there isn't any gas at the property. The electricity is on a pay as you go smart meter which we will top up with £8 per day during winter and £2.50 per day during summer. The amount of credit left is displayed on the LCD device. If you require additional top ups it only takes a minute on the Octopus App which is available from the app store and you can pay with a card. Once you've downloaded the app choose sign in with password, then log in with the email and password I've sent on the check in info and then select top up and enter the amount and your card details.
Please download the app before arriving.

The tv in the lounge is connected to a dvd player and a Roku box which you can use to log into your Netflix Iplayer ITV Nowtv accounts

Bryn-Weirglodd
Cottage
Gwynedd

5 star traditional farmhouse accommodation in one of the most beautiful valleys in Eryri (Snowdonia).

The space
Traditional farmhouse accommodation in one of the most beautiful valleys in Eryri. Bryn-Weirglodd offers a great combination of 5 star self catering set in a faultless tranquil location. Beautifully appointed bedrooms and comfortable living areas compliment a setting where walkers can head off straight from the front door whist beach lovers only have a short 10 minute drive down to the seaside villages of Criccieth or Porthmadog.

The large living room offers the best views of the surrounding area perhaps. The ubiquitous welsh mountain sheep graze in the foreground whilst the rolling hills of the valley frame your view down to the coast. Plenty of space and seating for a family get together and a lovely log fire to warm you in the evenings.

Next door we have a traditional country kitchen diner. Lots of modern appliances including a washing machine and a large fridge freezer as well as a handsome oak dining table and chairs. Again plenty of space and seating for the whole family. Finally on the ground floor we have a large twin bedroom. Actually, I'm wrong, this room has the best view from the large patio doors that lead out onto the garden. The en-suite bathroom in here is fully accessible and suitable for wheelchair users – in fact this holiday cottage is ideal if anyone in your party has a disability or any mobility issues. Which is great news as we don't have enough properties which are wheelchair friendly.

Upstairs we have three more bedrooms. Two double rooms and one twin room. No, these bedrooms have the best view. I think. You tell me when you get there. There's a nice family bathroom up here with a powerful modern shower over a bath.

Amenities:

Essentials • Washer • TV • Game console • Dryer • Bed linens • Hair dryer • Extra pillows and blankets • Hot water • Drying rack for clothing

Snowdonia Farmhouse
Cottage

Stay on a working hill farm in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park near the UNESCO world heritage site of Cwmystradllyn. Cwm Mawr (which means Big Valley) has amazing views, with open fields all around. Great for cyclists and walkers, my place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids) who enjoy the outdoors and a sense of freedom.

Secure storage for bikes, and paths directly from the doorstep.
