Town: The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

Guest Reviews:

- "Most excellent location, beautiful garden, would very highly recommend" - "The cottage is in a fabulous location for beaches and walks right from the front door, with other beaches within a short drive. It is very comfortable and has one of the best equipped kitchens we've had in a rental cottage with plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery and pans. One small niggle, (which I mentioned to the friendly owner when he popped by to see if everything was OK) was there were no "consumables" at all so we had to go out and buy washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand soap, foil, kitchen roll, cling film etc etc (Plenty of loo rolls though!) A beautiful and very secure garden meant we didn't have to worry about the dogs getting out. Would highly recommend both the cottage and the area. "

Mabuhay - a coastal that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
Cottage
Abersoch, Gwynedd, United Kingdom

The kitchen area has all you need to cook a meal at home although there are so many excellent restaurants and pubs in the village you may be tempted to eat out more than once! There is an island with stools, a dining table for 4 and a sitting area (note sofa type) with TV. The sofa converts into a comfortable sofa bed but is really only suitable for one or two children.

Outside, there is plenty of parking for a car as well as a cosy covered bar area with stools and outside sofa.

Guest Reviews:

- "Advertised as a double bedroom, this was not a double bed it was a three quarter small bed barely big enough for us, very bad sleep throughout the stay. Had this been made clear on the advert we would not have booked something with a three quarter bed when we are both 6 foot tall. No freezer section in the fridge for any ice or enable use to use our beach cool bag to keep food fresh for lunch ant the beach and shower had to be kept on one setting. We felt it was overpriced having stayed in abersoch in the last 18 years never have we had to be expected to sleep in a three quarter bed after booking what was described as a “double bedroom” "

Pen y Bryn is a traditional, detached cottage that has been sympathetically extended and renovated into a sophisticated home ideal for a luxury family beach holiday. There's a breath-taking open-plan living space, cosy snugs and a well-maintained garden, complete with a hot tub and elegant outdoor dining. There's also an indulgent feel throughout with many high-end fixtures and fittings such as an impressive handmade kitchen which exudes quality and attention to detail. The house enjoys an elevated position with views across countryside and is just far enough away from the centre of Abersoch to feel a little bit secluded, yet village shops, cafes and beaches are all within walking distance. Sea views over Abersoch towards the iconic St Tudwal's Islands can be enjoyed from the front garden and first floor bedrooms.
The space
The house blends original features including wooden ceiling beams with a host of stylish fixtures and fittings, many bespoke. It is spacious, yet cosy and there are different areas to either socialise or enjoy quiet time alone, so everyone will feel at home.

From the entrance hall there is a sitting room with a log burner, which is the perfect place for those in the group looking for peace and quiet to read a good book or even take a nap.

Meanwhile, a large, open-plan room across the back of the house comprises the kitchen, dining area and lounge. The handmade kitchen has plenty of prep space and a kitchen island with a sink, Quooker instant boiling water tap and an induction hob, and there is also a large American-style fridge/freezer, a 6-drawer electric AGA with full operating instructions, a Ninja Air Fryer, a microwave (hidden from view in the larder cupboard), a toaster, a kettle and a dishwasher. Plus, there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

The dining table is next to the kitchen and the layout makes it easy for the cooks in the group to join in conversations with everyone.

In the lounge area there is sofa and armchair seating with space for all of you to sit down and relax, while a Smart TV with sound bar, built-in DVD player, a Sky Box and access to Netflix (with own login details) is on-hand to provide the entertainment.

In addition, there is a snug (off the open-plan kitchen/dining room/lounge) with a second Smart TV, also with sound bar, Sky Box and access to Netflix. It's the ideal spot for teens to hang out.

Bifold doors lead to the rear garden which is enclosed by a hedge and features a lawn and a patio with a luxury 6-seat hot tub, a dining table and chairs, a lounge area, a gas BBQ, a fire pit and partial views of the countryside.

Back inside, a handy utility/boot room with hanging space and an extra fridge, should you need one, is great for storing away shoes and drying coats. Off here, is a shower room with a WC, a basin and a walk-in rain shower – brilliant for when you come in from the beach or the hot tub.

All five bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor. There are two bedrooms with a king-size bed: one with an en-suite shower room and the other with a washbasin in the room. There is also a double bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and a wash basin in the room, a twin bedroom with two single beds, and a bedroom with bunkbeds. Guest Reviews:

- "A large party of 8 adults and one child under two. A beautiful cottage with large garden, hot tub and well located for Abersoch. The hot water tap worked very well. Contact the caretaker twice, first could not great strap of hot tub and second to report leak under sink unit. Replied straight away. Think a stair gate should be made available. A beautiful relaxing stay. Thank you"

Large garden with a lawn, patio, hot tub, BBQ, outdoor dining and countryside views

Pen y Bryn is a traditional, detached cottage that has been sympathetically extended and renovated into a sophisticated home ideal for a luxury family beach holiday. There’s a breath-taking open-plan living space, cosy snugs and a well-maintained garden, complete with a hot tub and elegant outdoor dining. Sea views over Abersoch towards the iconic St Tudwal’s Islands can be enjoyed from the front garden and first floor bedrooms.

The house blends original features including wooden ceiling beams with a host of stylish fixtures and fittings, many bespoke. It is spacious, yet cosy and there are different areas to either socialise or enjoy quiet time alone, so everyone will feel at home.

From the entrance hall there is a snug with a log burner, which is the perfect place for those in the group looking for peace and quiet to read a good book or even take a nap.

Meanwhile, a large, open-plan room across the back of the house comprises the kitchen, dining area and lounge. The handmade kitchen has plenty of prep space and a kitchen island with a sink, Quooker instant boiling water tap and an induction hob, and there is also a large American-style fridge/freezer, a 6-drawer electric AGA, a microwave (hidden from view in the larder cupboard), a toaster, a kettle and a dishwasher.

In addition, there is a games room (off the open-plan kitchen/dining room/lounge) with a second Smart TV, also with sound bar, Sky Box and access to Netflix. It’s the ideal spot for teens to hang out.
