- "Clean and comfortable, well laid out accommodation with lots of little luxury touches. Bath salts and high quality toiletries and washing up products. Kitchen was fully equipped and a great space to bring the family together to eat and chat and plan our day trips. Plenty of tea towels, airer, pegs etc and a great welcome pack including Lavazza coffee and Welsh tea cakes. Living room was great for board games and relaxing on big sofas after long walks. The bath was SO good! Deep and long perfect for a soak after our Snowdon adventure! Bedrooms were well laid out and the most comfortable mattress and bedding I’ve ever slept on, we all commented on how well we slept. The character of this cottage welcomes you in and sets you up for a well equipped and situated, relaxing break, we felt at home so quickly. 20 mins walk to the beach with the dog in the mornings or a 7 minute drive for fish and chips or pancakes at Dinas Dinelle. The big enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and for tiring out kids in the evening before bed. Lovely garden furniture for sipping a beer in the sun. All in all one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in as a family of 6 and 1 dog, lots of space to spread out and enjoy quiet time as well as space for a big family games night. This is a property of great distinction with its foundations set in history over 300 years ago. Established as a quarry mans ale house, then called the Ship Inn. From horse draw delivery of slate to the exporting ships on the coast, up until steam train delivery ceasing in the 1960's this property remained set up as a place for hard working men to take refreshment. Improved and lovingly maintained by myself it is now a romantic character cottage, retaining all of its original features. The inglenook fire place blends in with slate topped kitchen units and cosy bedrooms, with toilet and shower upstairs and luxurious bathroom on the ground floor in where the ale used to be kept. Through the rear windows the summit of Snowdon is in majestic view as it is from the decked area at the side of Ship. There is a large parking area to the rear of the cottage and a lock up shed to hold bicycles and canoes. Activity holidays are encouraged although not obligarory as it is a brilliant place to come and relax. Shops are available within walking distance as to are local Inns and eating houses. The village of Llanrug is predominantly Welsh speaking and they are just waiting to say croeso y cymru.

- "We had a fabulous week in Snowdonia, just before Wales went into its 'firebreaker'. The standard of accommodation at Glan -Y-Gors was outstanding as was its location. The views from the house were breathtaking in such a peaceful location. Great care and attention had been taken to ensure we had a very trouble -free and relaxing week. The owner contacted us after our first night to check the underfloor heating had been comfortable for us and he altered it when I said it was slightly too warm. He kept in discrete contact with us should we had required any immediate assistance which was very reassuring. - "Absolutely cracking place to stay in Beddgelert. We were right beside a narrow gauge railway (The Welsh Highland Railway (WHR) or Rheilffordd Eryri) and had the River Glaslyn and the grave of Gelert on the other side. The one bedroom holiday cottage has a landscaped enclosed garden which is great for the dog, and also stops the sheep coming in. The cottage has got a woodburning stove, but also C.H. too which gets toasty inside pretty quickly. It has an dedicated integral laundry/drying room, which is a very handy piece of kit when you get back soaked from a walk in the countryside. Recently renovated, Llys Ifor has all modern comforts whilst retaining its welsh character. The renovation has been done sensitively to keep the feel of a cottage, and some features have been retained, like a small inglenook fireplace. I am an experienced host who loves having people to stay. My job here is to make people feel made welcome and comfortable. I am creating a wild life haven and pond here.

You will find a warm welcome awaits you in our pink fronted terraced cottage set in a quiet rural village which is off the beaten track . It is perfect for one or two adults but not suitable for children. Must love dogs as we have a friendly spaniel. Ideal location for Snowdonia, a car is really essential as public transport is very infrequent. Please note there is no parking by the cottage, parking is on the road just up from the terrace.

The space
This is our home which we love to share, the cottage is nearly 200 years old and we are still in the process of making it ours! Your bedroom is accessed by some narrow stairs. Bed linen and towels are provided. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen to prepare meals and/or eat. Please note we do not have a microwave . A variety of teas and coffee are always available so feel free to brew up. Although there is no parking on the property there is always parking on the road. Our home is a one minute walk to Mynydd Cilgwyn Mountain which is heather covered in summer and autumn and a beautiful place to see and experience nature.
We are located just outside the stunning Snowdonia National Park and a Dark Sky Area. There is an amazing view from our decking and your room towards Anglesey/Ynys Môn, you can see Caernarfon Castle, The Rivals/Yr Eifl, the Menai Strait and sometimes Ireland on a very clear day.

Visitors climbing Wales’ highest mountain will be able to pre-book their parking spaces a scheme designed to stamp out traffic issues.

Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park has a booking system at the Pen-y-Pass car park at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). Access to the car park will be reserved only for those who book ahead.

The system can be accessed by visiting the booking website.

The park authority said visitors will be required to show their confirmation e-mail on arrival to gain access to the car park.

It said: “Anyone without a pre-booked space will need to use the park and ride facilities at Nant Peris and Llanberis to access Pen-y- Pass.

There is access to a shared bathroom (also used by the owners of the property).

The renovation has been done sensitively to keep the feel of a cottage, and some features have been retained, like a small inglenook fireplace. Bwlch cottage is located in the village of "pant glas"
It is a cosy stone built cottage, in a countryside location.
Its central location is perfect for all that the area has to offer.
To the front of the cottage is the popular "llyn peninsula", with its many beaches and seaside towns.
To the rear of the cottage is the "snowdonia national park" and all its popular attractions.
Caernarfon is 12 miles and Porthmadog is 10 miles

It is perfect for a couple, or a single person to holiday throughout the year. It offers a wonderful home from home self catering holiday experience. The beautiful castle town of Caernarfon and the gorgeous Snowdonia National Park are within very easy reach of Cefn Eithin

The space
Parking for the property is ample and privacy is afforded.

Stiwdio Eithinog is a single storey cottage. The entrance leads to the new and comfortable kitchen / diner, off which you can access the main living and sleeping area. The living area has comfortable seats and a table, so it is a great space for relaxing, eating or watching the TV. The double bed is in the same room, although it's separated by a small step.
There is a small garden area to the rear of the Stiwdio, accessed though the back door. It has plenty of outdoor space to relax in the afternoon sun, or enjoy a drink after a great day out.
We have a drying room on site, which is perfect for drying wet outdoor clothing. It has drying lines, clothes pegs and a dehumidifier. It is shared with guests from Eithin Bach if necessary.
Our campervan and caravan site has plenty of space to kick a football around, or just enjoy a bit of outdoor garden space. You are welcome to use the goal posts there for a kick about. Bird life in the garden area and the neighbouring fields is very good.

The tranquility of the location is wonderful, as are views of the Snowdonia mountains and over Abermenai to Anglesey

The cottage is available for week long, longer or shorter term bookings, depending on availability.

The space
Wyddfa (Welsh for Snowdon) is a light, airy bedroom with a stunning king-size sleigh bed. It is one of 3 rooms (2 doubles and a bunk room) in the guest wing of our house. You will share the bathroom, dining room, lounge, kitchenette, toilet, garden, and parking with other guests.

Ty Madog is an old farmhouse built around 1880. It is named after Madog, a Welsh prince known to have lived in the area in the 12th century.

You will have beautiful views in every direction. There is a footpath that passes the front of the house and it is a short walk from the village of Brynrefail on the edge of Padarn lake, where there is a fantastic cafe (Caban) and where you can catch the bus to yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). It is a great starting point for walking trips.

Guest access
You are welcome to use all the shared space in the guest wing of Ty Madog. That comprises a dining room, kitchen, living room, garden, upstairs bathroom with bath and shower, and a downstairs toilet.

After breakfast, the kitchen area is available for making tea and coffee and for warming food. There is a fridge, freezer, microwave and plates, cutlery and glasses. Please remember that this is a shared space and that you need to clean up after yourselves.

During your stay
We live in the main house, so just come and knock (loudly) on the door or call or text us if you need us. We will be around on and off during the day sorting the breakfast supplies and doing the cleaning.

Other things to note
We are happy to provide a simple DIY continental breakfast. This comprises cereals, yogurt, toast butter and jam and tea and coffee. Non dairy options are available and there is a fridge that you can use if you wish to bring something different.

We have a very friendly collie called Enlli and a few chickens.

The track to the house is very bumpy. Please drive with care.

There is plenty of parking space, though positioning is crucial to enable everyone to get in and out easily.
