The hotel advised that what we should have done is booked through the website but on inspection their personal website doesn't make clear which stays are for dogs either (it's the garden ones) It put a damper on the weekend, could have potentially scuppered the trip if no back up rooms were available and staff seemed to distance themselves from Expedia bookings and were not willing to make an exception. The property itself is impressive and the grounds and location are fantastic but the customer service could be better "

You need to book if you want to enjoy a meal at the pub. The food there was lovely. We will definitely be back"
