The only issue for me was it didn’t accept my debit card which is an online bank. I get my direct deposit there because it’s two days early, but because it wasn’t Wells Fargo or PNC or any major bank, they wouldn’t use it. Luckily the person I was with used Wells Fargo so we can get the room still. Put a hold on the card though for incidental damage. "

There is a 24 hour convenience store adjacent to the hotel for quick purchases. Upon walking inside we were greeted again with a warm welcome and big smiles from the front desk staff. The hotel and rooms have a really nice neutral modern look, I loved that the rooms are suites as we had a comfortable sofa for tv watching that converts into a pull out bed if needed. The lobby had a really nice bar and after dinner the first night we sat at it and had a nice cocktail. The hotel had a great complimentary breakfast with everything that you could want for a complete breakfast and the coffee was great. We only had one very minor issue with the shower head and we happen to be walking out of the elevator to go out and my husband saw a guy that was an employee and it turned out he was the maintenance guy. My husband explained the issue to him and he was very nice by the time we got back to the hotel we ran into him again and he said he took care of it. This hotel was lovely and is in a great location with a friendly, attentive staff that made our stay perfect. I highly recommend it and I would definitely stay there again. "

Built on a fortune made right here in the Lehigh Valley, from the bygone era of hand loomed silk design & manufacturing, our 5th street mansion is the original home of Monsieur Desiderius, a dapper & vivacious gentleman of Austrian royal descent. He was most notably recognized as the best dressed gentleman of the century, with his trusty companion, ZigZag the Dachshund, never far from his side.

Outrageous, week long. lavish parties were thrown here for decades & no expense was ever spared. We think suite 208 is no exception & is the perfect homage to our founding father- it is the quintessential luxurious place to stay & a way for wanderlust travelers of all backgrounds to experience a little bit of what made this home so famous !

It is worth mentioning, that throughout the Lehigh Valley, many of the nearby silk mills that once belonged to the mansion, can be still seen today, many are still intact & historically meritorious. Please inquire about our guided tours, they are really fun & we will get a chance to explore more of the sprawling mansion & learn about its rich history. It is rumored that this mansion was erected on a former site of an actual monastery. This has been the site of many movies, photo shoots, and music videos!

- Flat-screen TV with cable and movie channels;
- All linens, towels, and bathroom essentials are provided. You don’t need to bring a thing!!

Our modern and convenient property provides the following onsite amenities:

- Outdoor patio w/ firepit;
- Fitness center;
- Business center;
- Meeting/banquet facilities;
- ATM/cash machine;
- Pets are allowed for an extra charge of USD 75 per stay, maximum of 2 pets per accommodation;
- Private parking is available (parking slot reservation is not required in advance) and costs USD5 per car per day.

NOTE: Some of the amenities may not function as advertised.
- The swimming pool is currently closed until further notice due to the season.

Guest access
There is a 24/7 front desk in the building that handles the keys. The guests can keep their luggage at the front desk before check-in and after check out.

We have more units to accommodate larger groups
