It has nice amenities with the shared pools and a large workout room and several good restaurants. The room furniture not top end but adequate. Some shelves or drawers in the dresser would have been nice. The cruise ship port is just steps away along the waterfront. It’s interesting to see the ships come in every morning and leave at night. The downside is the hotel beach, which is small for the size of the property. Other beaches are nearby and worth a day trip. The staff were all wonderful. Overall I would stay there again. If you set your stay up thru Expedia (there are No Jet Tubes). Outside of these few issues we will definitely visit A Stones throw away. It’s perfect if you want a relaxing vacation to the Bahamas without the hustle and bustle of tourism, however it’s still close enough you can get a taste without being overwhelmed by the classic younger group get away."

- "Valentines is located on the harbor side of Harbor Island and is about a 10 minute walk to the pink sand beach where most of the restaurants are located. The rooms were clean, beautiful and well appointed and the staff was happy, friendly and very accommodating. My husband and I were there for two nights at the beginning of our Eleutheran adventure and enjoyed our stay while were there. While we were only on HI for a short time, we found it a lovely but VERY expensive place to be. The Rooster Tail bar/restaurant has a beautiful view, is a great place to watch the sunset, but food was average as compared to the restaurants on the beach side of the island. We really were not there long enough to discover many local spots, except a restaurant by the main dock where the freight comes in called 'The Shack'. Right beside it on the water is a little pop-up tiki where Marcus will make you a delicious conch salad right before your eyes. Runaway Hill is a restaurant on the beach side - best meal we have had in years...worth every penny. The coffee shop on the hotel grounds is a great place to grab a quick and not terribly expensive breakfast and coffee ... the bread is fantastic. We rented paddle boards and spent a lovely afternoon in the water exploring - highly recommend it. The rental place is right next to the restaurant. Getting there is easy too, as the water taxi will drop you off right at their dock. Charming place."

Bad points - the road into property is REALLY in poor shape. Go slow and rent a 4 wheel vehicle! Checkin was inattentive. They finally texted us the door code hours after arriving though room was ready. Would have been helpful to drop luggage and see fridge etc before we went to get groceries. Overall a fabulous stay! - "We had originally planned on staying at an Airbnb but didn’t realize how far away we were from the main tourist attractions and what part of the city we were so when we arrived here we were so happy! The staff was welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. They have a parrot Max that they told us has been there since the 90s, was able to get some pets in but he warning he doesn’t like the men very much. The food and happy hour was great as well! Originally in one of the newer King-size rooms, I found the sound of the road a little disturbing (I'm pretty sensitive to this stuff - it didn't seem to bother anyone else!), so asked to be moved to one of the slightly older queen-size rooms at the back (again, with a beautiful harbor view), which was perfect, and was accomplished without any fuss. The staff achieved the perfect balance of friendliness and helpfulness without being intrusive. - "Hideaways Exuma is a good place to stay. It's on a great beach, looking out at Stocking Island. It's a good central location, close to George Town. There's a restaurant/bar on site, and other choices within walking distance (eg: Fish Fry, which has a bunch of choices). Our unit also had a well-equipped kitchen if you want to save some money on dining out. We were in a separate "cottage" which could almost see the water from the porch. Everything was quite clean. No real negatives, other than things you might expect. The bar/restaurant were somewhat expensive and somewhat slow when it was busy. It would become too repetitive if you ate there every day (so I wouldn't advise that). The parking for our rental car was across the street, and it could be somewhat crowded (chaotic, without any lines showing where to park), but we always found a space."
