- "I stayed in the smaller room which is about half the size of an average hotel room. The bathroom is combined with the shower which makes it a challenge to use the sink without getting your feet wet after you take a shower. I just threw a towel on the floor after showering. I did have some difficulty figuring out how to turn on the shower. I called the front desk and they came quickly to help me, pointing out the square piece of metal where the hose comes out is actually a handle. I also had difficulty with the TV until I noticed that it was unplugged. Between the TV, fridge and cable box, there are no free outlets on that side of the room and you have to unplug something if you want to use a coffee pot. It also isn't obvious how to turn on the A/C. You have to use a remote control. Once you get all that figured out, the room is quite usable. Looks like it has gone through some recent remodeling, so much so, that the price tag sticker was still on some of the moldings in the bathroom. At $46/night, this is a cheap hotel, but they try to spruce things up with various decorations based on knitting. I would say the bed was pretty hard, but not uncomfortable. This is the only place I've been to where they make towel animals for your bed. Little touches like that make it seem more expensive that it really is. I must say I was impressed with the free breakfast which is more like a Thai buffet lunch with a lovely view of the canal. They do require a 1000 baht cash deposit."

Travel back in Time and experience living in a teak house that is built in traditional Thai style dated back more than 600 years. Stay with my family and leave as a friend. This is a peaceful space with lush green garden and surrounding....a perfect hideaway. We also offer Thai cooking class as optional activity. The class will be instructed by me or my mom who has 30 years of experiences. We love sharing our home recipes.

The space
The house was built with teakwood in Thai traditional style. It is situated in a garden with spacious lawn where you can enjoy an open view.

All guest rooms surround an open veranda on upper floor with a shared bathroom quarter.
The rooms have high ceilings and big windows with mosquitos screen. This enable good ventilation and lets cool breeze pass through the rooms so no air conditioner is needed. You will be woken up by the gentle sounds of morning birds.

Beds are laid on the floor as in the old time. We also provide sarong so that you can wear them casually around the house.

Ground floor has dining and rest areas which are open-aired. Guests usually enjoy sitting in one of our reclining chairs and reading or simply chilling.
