The staff were very friendly and helpful. The check out time (09.00) was rather early but I was able to pay a bit extra for late check-out. The restaurant was fine although I found the prohibition against bringing in own food irritating (intrusion on the guest’s integrity). This wasn’t a problem for me on this solo trip but it could lead me to choose another hotel if I came to Digha again with my family. It would be better to let the restaurant compete with quality and price rather than trying to create an artificial monopoly. Apart from this an enjoyable stay in what is probably the best or one of the best hotels in Digha."
