As other reviews may have mentioned, there is no elevator(lift) so be prepared to be going up and down stairs for the duration of the stay. The hallways are lit with motion detected lights but they go off as soon as you enter the stairway. There is a popular restaurant attached to the hotel that features a live band several nights a week. If you are in the sea view room then you'll hear the band until close to midnight, so if you're an early to bed kind of person you might want to keep this in mind. Other than this, the hotel was mostly quiet. The safe in my room did not work, apparently a previous guest left it locked and the hotel didn't have a key to open it. The breakfast at this hotel - great! So much food, no way I could eat it all. Really good staff at the restaurant, especially Hasan who was very kind to me. Also many other dining options near the hotel. I would stay there again despite the quirks. "

- "We arrived very late at night and were met by a very friendly man on reception. He informed us that he had chosen to move our room to give my rather large 11 year old son a proper bed rather than a sofa bed, which we were very grateful for. Unfortunately, this meant that we lost our sea view room. As we were staying only one night, this wasn’t really an issue. Our room was fine, but we found the beds very hard, the pillows were lumpy and we had what seemed like a single sheet on the double bed. So not the best sleep. Breakfast. As it was out of season we were informed that the normal buffet wasn’t available, which was understandable so instead we were offered a very reasonable plated Turkish breakfast and a basket of bread. No water offered but there was a tea and coffee hot water urn for us to help ourselves to. We enjoyed eating this on the terrace, feeling the warmth of the early morning sun on us. After breakfast we cut through to the promenade and had a quick walk along the seafront before making our journey on to Kalkan for the next few days. The hotel is perfectly placed."

- "Very helpful staff" - "The hotel the best location with a balcony overlooking the sea/beach. The restaurant where breakfast was served, was across the pavement from the Calis beach. The water taxi stop was also just two min from Hotel Berlin. was fairly clean. The staff were friendly, but most didn’t speak sufficient English. Most guests were Turks so the staff serving breakfast didn't know how to interact with a foreign guest. They didn't interact with me at all in the 4 days that I was there. The aircon was working and kept the room cold but I couldn't control the temperature so it would get too cold if on for a few hours specially st night time but would get hot as soon as it was turned off. They didn’t provide a duvet or blanket, just a sheet that was very rough and didn’t feel good on the skin. So I asked for a couple normal flat sheet which i put under their sheet to make feel softer snd also give me protection from the cold at night. The flush button of the toilet was broken so to use it you needed to pick the top part of the water tank for the water to flush, ery annoying. In addition, there were two incorrect information on the hotel details on Hotels.com website. First one it said the hotel had a pool which turned to be untrue. Second one, one of the reviews said tea and coffee facility in the room, which also turned out to be untrue. Tbh I specifically booked the hotel for these two point and was disappointed. Overall, I would not rate it a 3 star hotel. "

There is a supermarket next door to the Babzen, so with the fridge supplied in your room, you can fill it up to your hearts content. They also offered a laundry service, were I had all of my clothes washed and dried within a couple of hours. What made the Babzen over exceed my expectation though was the staff! Always very welcoming and went above and beyond to make me happy and feel at home! Just after a few days of being there, I already felt like I'd knew them for years. They always asked me if I were okay and always happy to have a chat. For the social media fans/techies, the wifi was great and quite fast! Would I stay here again? Hell yes! Already thinking about booking there next year!"
