Bedroom walls were thin, can hear many noises from other guests " - "The Almyra is so good, we cut our stay at the Blue Lagoon short, to go back to the Almyra after staying there during the first half of our holiday. Marcus, who works at Almyra is an absolute delight and a fantastic character. He really made our stay, showing us around the hotel and always greeting us with a massive smile and hug. The one heated pool was large and never too crowded, and very warm (30 degrees Celsius), there were always empty lounge chairs with good umbrellas when the sun was to strong. The hotel is well situated, close to everything, with a great stretch along the sea for morning runs. All in all, an excellent week at an excellent hotel. We will gladly be back! "

The housekeeping and maintenance teams also demonstrated outstanding service and good attitude when they addressed a minor issue with the shower drain. I’ve rarely reviewed my stays unless it was above or below expectations. This hotel really embodies the idea of a home away from home. It has absolutely everything you may need in a resort, incredible dining options, and an outstanding staff that’s trained extremely well to anticipate what you may need. The spa was also one of the best I’ve experienced with a 3000 year old wall in the middle of it that the hotel has preserved in the construction process. This is the kind if hotel you visit and spend most of the time there enjoying their facilities. The rooms are incredible but they are not the stand out feature of our stay. The only comment to offer a fair review is that there isn’t much around the area in terms of touristic sites or walks, it’s definitely a staycation type of resort. I will visit again probably within the next 4-5 months purely due to our enjoyment there."

On our last night my husband developed cellulitis (we had assumed it was a flare of his gout), the hotel staff called a dr and he was taken to hospital where he was treated. The reception staff ensured we had a late check out on the house, and looked after us very well during our last few hours there, always checking if we needed anything. The pools are lovely, a bit of something doe everyone. Honestly can't think of a bad thing to say about our entire stay. We will 100% be back, and recommending it to everyone we know. "
