The lagoon is great with floating platforms in the middle. I only have a few small things to comment on: (1) If you went to look for a sunbed after 8am, the. You were going to have trouble if you’re a family of 4. It might have just been a busy time. However, if you ask one of the employees, they will help and bring empty ones over. (2) We were assigned a concierge who helped with booking the a la carte restaurants, which he did. However, I contacted him about booking excursions, and he was slow to respond so I booked externally. In all honesty, booking using Viatour or Get Your Guide is easy and you can see feedback of different tours, so maybe that’s better anyway. Overall, we had a great time and will recommend to friends & family!!"

- "We had an incredible time during our stay at Casa Cook! We booked a room with a semi-private pool and sea view. It was dreamy waking up to the sea and sunshine every morning and having an espresso by our pool. The design and aesthetics of the property is what attracted me initially. In person, it did not disappoint! The rooms were gorgeous and everything was incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond for us, especially the friendly and kind waiters at the pool, who made our stay so special! The breakfast buffet is very high quality and has so many nutritious and health options. We booked a massage during our stay and it was wonderful. The only things I would change is perhaps more lighting in the room, as it gets quite dark, and perhaps more live DJs by the pool. Do not book anything from hotel, 5-10x more in price, get a taxi from outside n haggle, we paid around 20-50 Egyptian pound for each trip. Excision book from “down town” couple of tourist office available. Laxor cost us £20, dolphin house £17, desert sefari £20,try to haggle lower if you can. Hotel drinks are served in a little cup, other hotels give you the bottle. I saw no animation team, just one vollybull that no one took part in. We never got the room we booked n paid for, nothing in surrounding area but that’s pretty much very every hotels. Spa is also over priced, you can find one 3min walk outside the resort. I liked the food, different options everyday. One shop around the corner if you want to buy drinks, very cheap from shops, 5 Egyptian pound. If your a smoker, go to Spinneys, a super market. Air con was perfect in bedroom, bath room small but clean. Shower was weak but can work with it. Depends what room you get, you could end up with a room with a view of nothing. Mc D and KFC 10-15min drive away. Airport took us literally 7min to get back too. Party life in down town, nothing special. Would I go back to hurghada? No. Btw Laxor trip was a big disappointment. If your taking kids, go to jungle aqua park instead of this hotel, better situated location, hospitality in that hotel is amazing, and presentation on drinks is excellent. "

- "Arriving just 2 weeks after the official opening I doubt we will see the hotel this quiet again. It's clearly not going to be fully operational for a few weeks. Only 1 block is open while the other is still being fitted out. The noise is mostly confined to indoors so isn't terribly noticeable. Not all the restaurants were open but they are coming online slowly and there is definitely a lack of signage anywhere. The swim up rooms are lovely (note that the pool isn't heated). Food & service in the main restaurant is superb. So much choice every day, all cooked perfectly. Service in all the bars is also exceptional. People are genuinely happy to see us. We rarely waited longer than a minute to have our plates cleared in the restaurant or the offer of another drink in a bar. The small water park won't challenge the nearby Gravity hotel and water park but that's not the demographic this hotel is going for. Remember that Sahl Hasheeh is actively being developed. The hotel to the left is still quite a way off being ready and groundwork has started on another property to the right. The layout of the room blocks should mitigate a lot of noise especially if you have a swim up or pool view room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The staff are wonderful, sunbeds plentiful, food, service and housekeeping are immaculate. My only complaint is the woeful WiFi. I've had much better elsewhere in Makhadi Bay and a company this size needs WiFi to match all other areas of the resort"

- "I was excited to check out this new property but was not as pleased as I would have liked. The room was VERY dusty and our feet got very dirty just walking around. They also put us in a shady back corner swim up on my literal birthday… the dinner buffet was a zoo and had no ambiance, the lights were so bright it was impossible to stay in the room for long. I knew the beach was mainly reef but it all just felt a bit lacking. It has a lot of potential and could be a great spot with some more care for detail. Check in was clunky and our driver was the one to help with our bags etc. instead of the many staff up front. I hope they get it together quickly!"
