Welcome to Lake Front Cabins! Nestled in the heart of June Lake, we’re a short walk from downtown, right next door to the marina, and a quick drive to Yosemite’s eastern gates (seasonal).

*Kitchen: The compact kitchen is small but equipped for basic cooking. There’s a small attached dining space.
*Outdoor Space: Our communal courtyard is a great place to kick back after returning from your outdoor adventures! Enjoy three propane fire pits, Adirondack chairs, a chairlift seat, picnic tables, and grills (propane included).

Before you book, read on to make sure we’re the right fit for your outdoor adventure!
We're new owners in the process of renaming the hotel, so despite what our current name suggests, we don't have direct beach access to June Lake (we're just over 500 feet from the lakeshore, separated by a National Forest buffer zone--it's public land and yours to traverse, though it’s typically marshy or snowy depending on the season). Additionally, your "cabin" is a private suite that shares a wall with a neighboring suite rather than a traditional standalone cabin.
We love traveling with our doggos, but unfortunately, this suite isn’t pet-friendly (we try to keep it as quiet as possible for neighboring suites). We do, however, have two pet-friendly options at the hotel and are happy to possibly accommodate you there.
When we say "historic,” we mean historic. Our digs stretch back a century, and sometimes, our “old-school” shows--winter nights can get chilly, and you may see an occasional four-to-eight-legged friend around the property or grounds. We like to think of ourselves as an extension of the greater Eastern Sierra ecosystem, so it’s all part of the fun.
While we do offer WiFi, the speed of our Internet *may* take twenty years off your life (although we promise the restorative power of nature will put those years right back on). The Alpenglow suite has always been the most challenging spot on the property for us due to its distance from the routers and extenders as well as the thick concrete construction that blocks the signal. While we can assure you we’ve spent countless hours with every single ISP in the area and offer up the best we possibly can, don’t expect to Zoom into meetings or (or much of anything, internet-wise) while you enjoy your stay in the great outdoors.
For the safety of our guests, we maintain outdoor security cameras to monitor wildlife visits, fire risk, hazardous elements, and other safety protocols.
Tioga Pass closes seasonally from mid-November through mid-May, during which time the only access to June Lake from the western Sierras is through the I-80 pass around Lake Tahoe or south of the Sierras near Los Angeles. You’ll want to build in extra driving time for fall, winter, and spring visits.
Occasionally, Highways 395 (North-South route from LA to Reno) and 158 (June Lake Loop) will close due to heavy snowfall. During winter, please be advised to carry snow chains in your vehicle to comply with CalTrans chain requirements and potential inclement weather.
Fire season typically falls between summer and early fall in the area, so air quality may be unhealthy during this time, particularly among sensitive groups.
We hope you enjoy this neck of the woods as much as we do. Welcome to June Lake!

Welcome to Lake Front Cabins! Nestled in the heart of June Lake, we’re a short walk from downtown, right next door to the marina, and a quick drive to Yosemite’s eastern gates (seasonal).
Our mountain town roots stretch back over the property’s 100 years of operation, the feel here is laid back and communal. Join us for bluebird skies, winter powder days, backcountry access, basin and range expanses, friendly folks, and some of the best trout fishing in CA.

Other things to note

Welcome to Gull Lake Lodge! We’re a laid-back, cozy motel nestled between Gull Lake and June Lake, a short drive from Yosemite’s eastern entrance (seasonal), and within walking distance to downtown’s restaurants, bars, and shops.
Our suites all come with a kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining space, spacious bathroom, and all the basics you need for a comfy crash pad after a day out in the Eastern Sierras.

The Bodie One-Bedroom Suite is a private, pet-friendly, motel-style suite equipped with a full kitchen, queen bedroom, a living room with a full futon, full bath (including a combo tub-shower, toilet, and sink), and a dining nook. Enjoy our communal grills, on-site parking, and a small pet area.
Guest access
Guests have full access to their suite and motel-style front porch, shared access to grills, on-site (uncovered) parking, and access to our small pet area. Enjoy!

We're new owners in the process of making some updates to the hotel, so despite what our current name suggests, we’re not situated right on Gull Lake. However, we are just a short walk down the street to its shores, the marina, the quaint lakeside park, and a great hiking trail around the lake.
Pets: We love hosting dogs! If you plan to bring your furry friend(s), please add them directly to your reservation at booking, at which point the pet fee ($20/dog/night) will be calculated directly into your trip total on the booking screen. Then, please shoot us a message with their name(s) and how many you plan to bring along (two max), and we’ll send you our pet policy and information. See “Additional Rules” for more.
While we do offer WiFi (and have a backup network in case of outages), we’re still in a small mountain town, which means the occasional storm may prevent connection. We don’t recommend planning to Zoom into any important meetings on-site, but let us know if you need any recommendations on local coworking/WiFi spots!
For the safety of our guests, we maintain outdoor security cameras to monitor the hallways and stairways of the top and bottom floors (which include entrances to each suite), as well as the parking lot, picnic area, dumpster, and entry to the guest provisions room. This way, we can keep an eye on wildlife visits, fire risk, hazardous elements, and other safety protocols.

Tioga Pass closes seasonally (typically sometime in November through late May or June, and periodically earlier or later depending on storm systems), during which time the only access to June Lake from the western Sierras is through the I-80 pass around Lake Tahoe or south of the Sierras near Los Angeles.
Ask us about our fire and cancelation policy ahead of time if you’re concerned.
We hope you enjoy this neck of the woods as much as we do. Welcome to June Lake!

Before you book, read on to make sure we’re the right fit for your outdoor adventure!
We're new owners in the process of making some updates to the hotel, so despite what our current name suggests, we’re not situated right on Gull Lake. However, we are just a short walk down the street to its shores, the marina, the quaint lakeside park, and a great hiking trail around the lake.
We love traveling with our doggos, but unfortunately, this suite isn’t pet-friendly (we try to avoid the sound of tippy-tapping paws for your downstairs neighbors). However, pets ARE welcome in suites #1-7, as well as our cabin (#16), and we’re happy to accommodate you and your furry friend there.
While we do offer WiFi (and have a backup network in case of outages), we’re still in a small mountain town, which means the occasional storm may prevent connection. We don’t recommend planning to Zoom into any important meetings on-site, but let us know if you need any recommendations on local coworking/WiFi spots!
