The rooms are facing the sunset - what a joy to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down after a day of snorkelling. The views are AMAZING!!!! - "It’s natures palace but it’s so sad as the coral is dead and the ocean full of plastics from the Philippine government dumping all of Canada’s recycling and likely all countries into ocean. They need to have someone picking up trash from beach all day. The damage has been done. The sea animals dead. We had a boat trip booked around Komodo and the timing changed due to bad weather, the staff were amazing at rebooking us and accommodating our changes despite making a non refundable booking. - "exactly as described plus mosquitos" - "It is a good way from the harbour and main street of Labuan. But it is down a very quiet road. So it is very peaceful and relaxing. The town is easy to get to in 10 minutes by taxi or any of the many motorbike guys who are always available on the main road. 10 to 20k rupiah fare. Maybe more coming back from town later in the evening. But at 16,500k rupiah to £1 I cant complain.The main road is 2 mins walk from hotel and there are atms and 2 supermarkets one of which is 24 hours....very useful for a late night beer drinker like me !!!Veronica and her husband are lovely and my tour of Rinca Island was organised by Veronica as soon as I had checked in. It was for the next day at 7am. Perfect as I had only booked for 2 nights in Labuan.BTW the boat trip and tour were magical. 5 Komodo dragons eating a water buffalo and then 2 stops for snorkelling. Veronica lent me the mask, flippers etc free.Remember you pay for the boat trip to the hotel. But you must take cash to the Island to pay the Komodo National Park entrance fee. This is perfectly normal procedure.Veronicas very nice family and friends looked after me especially a young guy who drove me to the atms and into town for the early morning start of the tour."
