- "Its been really nicely refurbished and great value and location. I would like to say it was peaceful and it would have been, but they were building a new block of rooms in the morning. It feels pretty desolate and there's not a lot going on a night -- sun sets early, after which is you, the other travelers and the mosquitos! The location is actually fairly decent; it's close to Chocolate Hills, the Tarsier reservation, and Tagbilaran and Panglao aren't too far away, either. If you're looking for comfort, warm showers and entertainment, Nipa Hut isn't the place for you. If you want to get away from civilization for a little bit, then it's great. I would recommend renting one of Nipa Hut's scooters and going exploring. There are some cool little villages along the south coast. Panglao is also worth a drive for a day of beaching."
