Overall, because we booked some time in advance, we had a reasonable price, so accepted the negatives at this place because it was in a great location. However, we spoke to some people who booked more last minute and paid over double what we did and I would not have been happy at that price with all the problems. If you turn right at the beach ... You will find some great bar/ restaurants only a couple of minutes walk away."

- "The second we landed on Koh Mook, I knew it was exactly the escape I needed. Phumiphat Resort fit that vibe perfectly – tucked away amongst the trees, a short walk from the beach and the pier, and relaxed to the core. Our bungalow was simple but had everything we needed – a comfy bed, a clean shower, and a patio to enjoy my mornings. The staff were the true highlight – warm, helpful, and always ready with a smile. They made me feel at ease and helped me plan the perfect island activities. Breakfast on the patio was the best way to start the day -– fresh fruit, perfectly cooked eggs and bacon, and coffee that actually perked me up. Exploring the local spots on the island for lunch and dinner was fun, but the resort's breakfast was hard to beat. Ask the host Cha to arrange everything for you and you won’t regret it. If you're looking for an island getaway without pretension, where you can truly unwind and feel welcomed, Phumiphat Resort is a wonderful choice. I wouldn't hesitate to go back."

My room was beautiful from the outside, nice patio, but had at least 5 huge holes in the wall, paint scratched off the walls, and tons of mosquitos in the room/bathroom. This place looks close to town on a map, but is about a 10 minute taxi ride into town (50 baht each way). The restraunt is over priced and not great. Go next door to dada restaurant to eat, as there is nothing else close by. The beach that it is located on is quite dirty and rocky, I would not swim in it. As I said, it has a great pool, which is where I spent most of my time until I moved to a hotel closer to town and on a nicer beach. "
