- "Super" - "The Houseboat Villa Nautica is not for everyone. My wife and I are 70 and enjoy staying in unique accommodations such as the tented camps in Kenya. We are self-sufficient and are comfortable living out of our two carry-on bags. We own property in the Rocky Mountains in Canada and love having our morning coffee on our deck watching the wildlife that call this part of the world home. We do appreciate having a meal in a local restaurant, but it doesn't have to have a 4-star Michelin rating. Yes, houseboat is small, but it was well equipped, and was a perfect fit for us. The Villa Nautica is for you if, you are like us, and enjoy: a. sitting on the upper deck watching the Rhine gently flowing past. b. watching the ducks, Egyptian Geese, cormorants, and countless other species of birds that live in the area. c. having well stocked food store, with its own bakery, within easy walking distance (8 minutes). d. having a very nice restaurant located in the same area as the food store. e. having easy access to the two bus routes that service this area. f. being in a quiet area. (The noise from the nearby train bridge did not bother us at all.) We also appreciated that Jan & Sabrina, the property managers, responded to our questions within minutes. The WIFI was excellent. For those who have criticized this property, I would suggest that you carefully consider the description provided and be advised that you will be staying on a small houseboat and not on a cruise ship!"
