A live band was just putting away their instruments as we arrived, and we were wondering if noise would be a problem. But the ice-cream shop is only open on the weekends in October, and even then, the recorded music on the following day they were open ended at a reasonable hour as well. The cottage was clean and very comfortable--nicely heated, with a comfortable bed (unless you like hard beds--we don't), no shortage of hot water, and really quiet. We brought our own dishes, plates, a knife and dish soap, which were all helpful. The refrigerator has a separate freezer and there was a toaster, coffee maker and microwave, which meant we could have our own breakfasts and lunches if we wanted. A table and two chairs were also included and black-out curtains made sleeping past sunrise possible. We were very satisfied with our stay and felt we got what we paid for. The only suggestion we would have would be for them to open breakfast at 8 am instead of 9 am. That seems a bit too late for anyone wanting to get going earlier."
