The home is a two Bedroom one Bath Beach Cottage with great south facing light. There is One Master Bedroom with a Queen Bed, Dresser, TV and luxurious bedding. One Guest Bedroom with two Twin Beds and a flat screen TV. One Bath with a shower and ample towels. The Living Room seats 4 with TV, DVD player and comfortable down furniture. Lastly, the Small full kitchen with a cozy nook seats up to 4.

There are three exterior brick seating areas inclusive of the back and front yards with a BBQ, outdoor shower with hot water and a hot tub for outside enjoyment. The backyard is surrounded by tall hedges and a beautiful rose garden. Both the backyard and the front are gated for privacy and convenience for yourselves and your pets.

Happy House is a charming 2 bedroom 1 bath Cottage just steps away to the entrance to Seacliff State Beach Park. At this time we are offering reservations that are 30+ days long. This is convenient for traveling nurses, working remote, extended vacations, families, retired guests or even locals remodeling their home that need safe temporary housing.

You have parking for up to 3 vehicles in our driveway. We have a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, stove/oven, refrigerator, cook ware and dishwasher. There is a washer & dryer for laundry and we provide linens and towels for the house, please bring your own beach towels.

We have wireless internet access, smart TV, DVD and VCR with movies for kids. Happy House is less than a block to groceries, restaurants and shops. Amenities include gas log fireplace, a fenced back yard and charcoal barbecue.

Explore the natural beauty in our area along the coastline to the redwood forests and beyond. As our guest you have use of our Golden Poppy Annual Day Use Pass which gets you into many Northern California State Parks, State Beaches, State Reservoirs and premiere Redwoods for free. (Regularly $10 a day).

Seacliff State Beach Park is the home of the cement ship. It has picnic areas, fishing, visitor/learning center with information on the local fossils and history. There is also a paved pathway for walking or biking that leads to Rio Del Mar Beach. The beach and walking areas welcomes dogs on leash.

We are near the redwoods in Nisene Marks State park with great hiking and biking trails. We are 10 minute drive to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Monterey Bay Aquarium is about a 45 minute drive and Roaring Camp is about a 20 minute drive.

We have a relaxed, casual atmosphere. For small kids there are 2 booster seats for the kitchen table and beach toys. We have an assortment of children's books, mega-blocks, family board games, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards you are welcome to use.

Happy House is a cozy home limited to 6 guests. The default rate includes 2 guests, additional guests are $5 a person per night. Friendly, well behaved pets who are a good fit with our pet rules are welcome at a $150 fee per pet which must be arranged in advance.

There is also a 'Summer Season' water taxi that will glide you across the Yacht Harbor to get you on your walk to the Beach Boardwalk a bit faster. 11:00 to 6:00 pm summer weekends and holidays though Labor Day.

The oceanfront recreation trail leads you to the Point Pinos Lighthouse to the west and the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row to the east. The wonderful Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course is just around the corner. The upstairs is private master suite with ocean views and a bathroom with tub/shower combination.

The basement is ideal for a children or teen age suite. It has new wood floors. There are 2 twin beds and a new queen bed for sleeping. A huge TV , toys games, and books are provided. There is a third bathroom with a shower off this room. A washer and dryer are also located downstairs.

The description says the home sleeps 6 but it is best suited for 2 or 4 adults and up to 2-4 children. The children's suite is on the lower level and has twin beds and a queen size bed. The 2 master suites provide comfortable king size beds.

Mother nature made her presence felt again this winter. Many folks have been asking if the village is open, due to the storm damage. All restaurants and shops are open, the wharf, will remain under construction for 2024.
Fortunately, our cottage was unharmed by the large ocean swell and the torrential downpours of rain in early January. The beauty of this unique spot in Capitola Village is reservable for traveller's.
This charming setting and cottage has become known as the first home built along the creek. There are numerous traces and remnants of historic Capitola hidden, but still remaining in this old beach town. This unit is one of them and is available to be rented anytime of year. Take advantage of these great seasonal rates!

Recently renovated, this cozy historic 2 bedroom 1 bath riverfront cottage is located in the heart of the Capitola Village. You can enjoy this peaceful habitat setting, relaxing in the most spacious yard, or on the deck overlooking the coastal wildlife along the banks of Soquel Creek. Certainly, walking a two-minute trail stroll to Capitola’s most popular beach, wharf, shopping, bars & restaurants is an option as well. This sweet craftsman is in the shape of a duplex now that does share 1 wall and the front patio. However, it has not lost it's original and historic charm. To whom will you be sharing the wall with? Well, a very nice tenant who has complete understanding that we rent our side unit during the summer. The tenant keeps to themselves and you may see a glimpse of him/her coming and going. Situated in the Riverview Terrace neighborhood, you will feel like you have a very private setting. We have been renting for numerous years now and have yet to have any issues with this arrangement.

The Yellow Beach Cottage is a darling cottage with accommodations for 6. The cottage has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed, and the other bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed. There is a separate TV room that contains a queen-size bed. There is one full bath with a walk-in shower. There is also a nice full kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

The Yellow Beach Cottage is located at one of the best beaches in Santa Cruz and is within walking distance to numerous restaurants. Most importantly, the cottage has an amazing large deck that takes full advantage of the spectacular ocean view.

- "The house is a bit dated, and be aware that there is no AC…. But we came in the height of summer and it wasn’t a problem. But really, you’re renting this place for it’s location & that was perfection. Everyone in our party (ranged from 3 to 73) was able to get up and down the rock path which is steps from the front door! The owner was great to communicate with & we had an absolute blast! Parking in SC can be a nightmare and renting this place gave us 4 spots (2 in the back of the house and 2 we took at 6am when they were empty). Would definitely rent again!"

A separate dining room easily accommodates 4 people and the adjacent kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. The bedroom has a very comfortable (based on past reviews) queen bed with a skylight overhead. There is a sleeping nook off of the bedroom with a day bed which is an inviting spot to curl up with your favorite book and perfect for kids. We have also added a daybed covered in comfy pillows for reading or sleeping in the living room.

Beautifully landscaped gardens and lawn make for a pleasing view from the dining room and kitchen. Fully fenced backyard with gas grill is a great place to enjoy outside meals. Speaking of meals, you can purchase all your ingredients at the farmers market two short blocks away every Sunday. Should you want a night off from cooking, no problem! HISTORY: The Cottage was built in the 1920’s, one of the first homes in the area. Before the neighborhood built up, there were expansive fields of flowers surrounding the Cottage and a lovely path winding down to the ocean. In the 1950's the Cottage was occupied by a family who built their dream house next door, which has since been named the Green House and remodeled into a unique vacation rental which accommodates eight.

LOCATION: The Cottage is located near Twin Lakes Beach and the Yacht Harbor, midway between Capitola and downtown Santa Cruz (both 10 minutes away). There are six fabulous restaurants within walking distance, ranging from a Hawaiian grille to a high-end Italian restaurant, and our personal favorite, Southwest-inspired Nuevo Grill. A short stroll down the beach will bring you to the yacht harbor where you will find the popular Palomar Mexican restaurant and the Crow's Nest. The Crow's Nest is a great place on Wednesday to watch the sailboat races or enjoy the sunset, a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Great appetizers! Also within walking distance is a corner food store, liquor store, deli, coffee house, video store and a farmers market on Sunday

Recent storms did not damage this house or most of the Village. Shops and eateries are thriving. Guests are greatly enjoying the water view deck. Washer/dryer are in the garage.
