Ideally located one block up from 26th Ave beach and conveniently centered in Santa Cruz from Capitola to downtown Santa Cruz and the World famous Beach Boardwalk. This sweet beach home beckons visitors to relax in a peaceful atmosphere. Fall asleep to the sounds of crashing waves and wake up to the scent of the ocean. Guests can walk or bike to many desired places around town and avoid the hassles of driving and parking. This is a comfortable, dual-level, family town home situated 1 block from the beach at Rio Del Mar … just far enough to feel peacefully apart from the crowds, but an easy amble to the beach. This popular beach runs south of Santa Cruz and boasts miles of sand and a variety of restaurants. There is also a shopping center with a major grocery store; sundries and hardware store and other shops and restaurants nearby. A 2 minute walk takes you to the Seacliff State Park and Beach with BBQ and picnic areas, fishing pier and walking path.

The family room offers a cozy seating area with a gas fireplace and comfortable upholstered furniture, adjacent to the wooden dining table with seating for 6 and a marble-topped bar area with beverage refrigerator. Doors from the family room lead to a balcony with a gas grill and outdoor seating, a perfect place to watch the sunset.

Kitchen
Between the living and family room spaces, the kitchen features Italian-made cabinetry, and high-end stainless steel appliances that include a six-burner Wolf gas range, a farmhouse apron sink and marble counter-tops.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
On the third level, Bedroom #1 is a suite that includes a California king bed, a large closet, full-length mirror and an en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a shaving mirror, a separate deep soaking tub, dual vessel sinks and custom tile work and peeks of the bay from upper-story windows. Please note that there is no door at the top of the stairs, so this bedroom is audibly open to the staircase and lower level.

Down on the first level you will find two bedrooms that each have doors that open onto a brick patio on the side of the home. These bedrooms share a hallway bath with a vessel sink and tub/shower combination with custom tile.
Bedroom #2 has a queen bed.
Bedroom #3 has a twin day bed with a twin trundle that can sleep 1-2.
A half-bath is located near the living areas on the second floor.

A laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer is available in the lower level hallway.

Front and back yards are landscaped with succulents, flowers and citrus trees.

The garage has space for one larger vehicle or two small vehicles, with additional parking available on the street. A ChargePoint Level 2 EV Charger is available for guest use. Bring your cable and adaptor.

Our house is limited to 4 registered guests and rented very sparingly, and our single story "Hawaiian style" 1950's beach cottage is located on a private dead end street with a level, flat yard.... just 300 yards from the beach. Private and sunny backyard patio and sundeck with views up to tree filled open space hillside, total quiet and zen! Please read our reviews. You'll have sun, solitude, total privacy, a large backyard, sundeck, and sublime quiet in this classic/vintage, mid-century beach house, which is located on this very quiet cul de sac backing up to a Santa Cruz County Designated Scenic Corridor greenbelt in your back yard. From the backyard watch the wild-birds, seagulls, red- tailed hawks, and then listen to the owls at night. (did we say NO stairs ?!!...ours is a single story house, large level front yard and level fenced backyard, and short level walk to the sand).
We call it the "cove" because its located 300 yards from the water in what is a natural cove with the ancient fossil rich ocean cliff rising 100' behind it. (you may have read about the Mastodon tooth discovery here in June '23).

There’s one TV set in the living room. It was easy to hook up our fire stick and very easy to use the WIFI. The walk to Margaritavill was easy it takes about two minutes. I could put our names on the waitlist and walk back to get ready. We had a few issues but management was on top of it. All in all we had a really nice vacation. The room can easily hear the street noise. Everything calms down early except for Saturday night. That was the only night that was noisy. To be expected. The walk to the beach was a breeze. I’m not sure how many times I took a quick walk to the beach at all times. I felt safe the whole time so did the kids."
