Enjoy the tranquility and quiet surround of this superb location near the Sacramento river and trails. Be independent in your own space in this King deluxe master studio. Unwind and take a long soak in the spa bath, enjoy 'eating in' using your private little kitchenette, sit at the breakfast bar and enjoy the freshly roasted special blend of organic coffee provided by your host. Look out to the tranquil back garden and water fountains, or relax on your own porch with outdoor chairs/small table . But most of all, get a good night's sleep on a very comfortable cal king bed!
NB. You studio is your own private space with your own external access down the side of our house. It is connected to our house by a wall, and the back lawn is a shared space.
The kitchen has a sink, breakfast bar, counter space and everything you need to prepare your meals; a decent sized fridge you can stock up, microwave, coffee pot, blender, small portable oven, induction cooking element with pots, utensils, crockery and glassware.
In the room is a sofa and coffee table for you to relax, sip on your freshly roasted coffee as you look out over the back garden. The small dining room table with two chairs is great for eating meals or a work desk.
Karina is a coffee snob and owned her own cafe in New Zealand, so roasts her own unique blend of organic coffee at home which guests love! Karina thinks it's the best coffee in Redding!... Come and see what you think ;)
This is a great place to stay for those wanting a luxury retreat, conference attendees, cyclists, nature/outdoor lovers, dog owners (if you have a furry friend, please let us know to get pre-approval); and allows you to be self contained cooking meals in rather than having to eat out all the time.

For your entertainment there is a television in the room with access to netflix, hulu, sling, disney plus and amazon prime. No shortage of movies to watch!
There is good wifi internet (can do video zoom calls etc), central air conditioning, off street parking outside (to the right of the garage), and access to our laundry room by request on the other side of the door from your kitchenette.
We love to host and enjoy getting to know our guests. We also respect your privacy and need for space. We are available to answer any local questions you may have. Karina works from home (up the other end of the house) so will be there most of the time, however, may not always be available to chat.

Our lakes are full! Perfect location for daily swimming and adventuring at Whiskeytown Lake! Only 3 miles to the lake.

The home is located in the historic town of Shasta. Some refer to Shasta as Old Shasta. Our town has a Courthouse/Museum, Mercantile and Shorty's cafe along with the row of brick ruins that line the highway. The Western Star Lodge #2 is the oldest chartered lodge in California. The town has 3 historic cemeteries, Masonic, Catholic and the Union (Pioneer) Cemetery. The State park is located within walking distance.
Whiskeytown lake (3 miles) most trails are now open and the lake is having some great fishing days. Some of our guest that are avid gold miners have found nuggets in unusual areas. Areas that were inaccessible before the fire.
Don’t forget to pickup your $1 gold panning permit at Whiskeytown National Park.

It is always our goal to provide guests with the rustic beauty and charm, while providing all the modern conveniences of home. Work from home! Adventure!
We have taken pride in our home, as it is the home in which we raised our two girls. Cleanliness is always our first priority along with comfort. An Ionizer (purifying) is used for 6-8 hours. All bedding is washed in hot water. Both bedrooms have luxurious beds, bedding and pillows for a perfect night’s sleep. The backyard gives you the solitude of a parklike setting. Our redwood outdoor shower is a real treat!
My husband and I enjoy hiking and biking locally with day hikes to surrounding areas.
Other areas to hike besides Whiskeytown are Castle Crags, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen or even a day trip to the coast.
We also have a pear tree that bears fruit towards the end of October through the first 3 weeks of November. This pear tree was planted at our home in 1957. In 2015 the mother pear tree produced 2018 pounds. I have also grafted an additional 30 trees as of which 14 are planted at the Little Red House. Join us for fall and enjoy our pears.
We have a few inquiries regarding pets. We love animals however, our Fir floors are soft wood and took me a month to refinish from pet nail damage. Plus, since we advertise a pet free home to those with allergies. The backyard is also not dog proof.

This private 1BR apartment is great for the garden yard, access to Whiskeytown lake & walking trail on the Sacramento River. It's 10 min drive to Whiskeytown beaches and hiking. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed. Mini-split heat and AC. Off street driveway parking. ** Just so you have ALL the info… i do live upstairs with housemates. Quiet hours are 11pm-8am. However, noise travels quite well so steps above will be heard. :) We really try to be conscientious though. :) From July 20-August 14, 2023 I will be hosting you remotely & will have other guests staying in my home.

Per city ordinance, we are required to collect license plate numbers for all vehicles and do so via a google form we send at the time of reservation. All parking in non-downtown locations is limited to 1 car per bedroom and must be off street.
OCCUPANCY
Per city ordinance, the maximum occupancy is 2 adults per bedroom overnight, with a total cap of 16 adults on the property at any time. There is no cap on children.
All guests, including children, must be accounted for in your reservation.
PET POLICY
We absolutely LOVE animals and our pet-friendly properties are designed with pets in mind! For guests booking one of our pet-friendly properties or traveling with service animals, please note:

- Pet Approval: All dogs must be approved through management via booking site messages. (Does not apply to ADA service animals.)

- "Great apartment! So clean and so stylish." - "Great place to stay for three nights! I booked this last minute on a whim to celebrate my 50th birthday, and my son’s upcoming 17th birthday. My other son, who just turned 19, decided not to come with us, but if he had, that would have been birthday celebrations times three! I think we would have all three been cozy in this DELIGHTFUL Downtown Dwelling. With just two of us, I took the foldout and let my son have the bedroom. The slider door separating the two areas was perfect for privacy. I also liked the separate shower area away from the bathroom (toilet and sink). That worked out perfectly because we could each shower and then have room to get ready. This location was central to our activities, which included Lassen National Park, Burney Falls State Park, and Castle Crags State Park. We really liked the food at Corbett’s Restaurant/Cafe for lunch, and Kobe Steak and Seafood for dinner. We could have cooked in the cute little kitchen-which is well stocked with pots, pans, air-fryer, hot plate, etc. - but we stayed out too late at the recreation areas. I liked the little baskets for storing our snack foods, and I might try to incorporate that into my own kitchen! Overall, the dwelling had everything we needed! The smart TV is set up so that you can use your streaming services. We used Amazon Prime and Netflix. We watched Top Gun Maverick and The Lego Batman Movie. Even though we were near the railroad tracks, the passing trains weren’t too loud at all."

Coram ranch is located next to the Sacramento River and near Shasta Lake, north of Redding Ca. This beautiful guest ranch in northern Ca. has five homes, large yards and safe surroundings. Amenities include mountain biking, hiking, swimming, basketball, horse shoes, bocce ball and a game room. Just for your family reunion, company retreat, or church functions , no sharing with other guests. Coram Ranch is only 7 miles from the nearest town so you don't have far to travel for supplies. Here your get together is planned and scheduled by you. With a large kitchen and dining room to prepare meals and get everyone together. Plus most of the other homes have kitchens too.

I had to message the owner regarding a couple issues we had and because she lives on property she was quick to address our concerns. Don’t book if you plan to smoke anything of any kind, bring animals or children. 2 people limit. I like to keep a clean, allergen free location for all guests.
Coffee/tea bar, one level home, living room, wet bar, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate & dining nook. Separate bedroom and bathroom-. Shared swimming pool,hot tub, & bbq . Parking in a quiet neighborhood, apartment refrigerator, Linens supplied. Wifi/tv, space heater, a/c is brand new, good naturally lighting, back deck is serene. Private yet close to town. Gym/restaurants/coffee shops/hospital are 7-10 mins away, great hikes and bike trails very close by, Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay, Whiskeytown Lake, an hour away from snow activities.
Quiet hours are 9pm-8am.Trash trucks can be heard twice on Friday mornings (6 am-12 noon). Yard & pool maintenance on Thursdays

Our living area is all kinds of cozy with a shag rug and lava rock fireplace. You'll also find a deep-set navy sofa, yellow and patterned toss pillows, faux plants, and an essential oil diffuser (pick your own scent!). Plan your adventures right here, or unwind with a movie and glowing fire after a day out in nature.
Snug yet mighty, the kitchen carries out the navy and yellow color palette from the living area. And yes! It’s stocked with everything you’ll need to cook meals together (note: we have a toaster oven instead of a full oven). You can also sip coffee and tea at the counter bar – or enjoy a nourishing meal at our table for two. These are also great spots to play card games from our collection.
Over in the bedroom area, a plush queen bed comes with white bedding and a cloud of pillows. More homey touches abound: bedside tables, lamps and a black-and-white geometric rug. LAUNDRY
The laundry room is right off of the studio and is a shared space. You will have access to the laundry room from 8-3 pm. After this time, the laundry room will be off-limits.
BACKYARD/POOL
You are in the ADU/Guest House in the home. The main house has tenants and they have access to the pool area in the backyard. You will have access to the gated side yard and the studio space. The pool and backyard are off-limits to you. There is a side yard with a sitting area for you to enjoy during your stay and is private.
PARKING
Our driveway is available for you to use for one car. Please park in the driveway in front of the door to the sideyard only. Cars can park in tandem.

Thank you for observing our quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am. This ensures the peace of the neighborhood and our standing as courteous neighbors.
SMOKING
To keep our home fresh and clean for everyone, smoking is not permitted inside. If smoke is detected, a $300 fee will be applied to your reservation. You can, however, smoke in the backyard (please close the sliding glass doors and windows).
PRIVACY NOTICE
Access to the sideyard is exclusive to the Panorma guests only. Our staff is courteous at maintaining the highest level of privacy possible to our guests. The yards are regularly maintained by our groundskeepers and pool maintenance staff. We ask that you not disturb the tenants living in the main house. They are not the hosts for your stay.
Interaction with Guests:
You will get into the house with a code for the front door lock. We are always available for questions, concerns, help with finding local recommendations, and any emergencies. It is our hope that you enjoy your stay and have a memorable experience staying in our home.

The space
Built in the 1930's, Charming and inviting home.
We bought the home in 1985 and raised our children in the home. Then in 2015 we renovated the home keeping all the rustic charm while giving the upgrades where needed.
A unique space like no other, a place to relax and unwind.
The outdoor shower is the best!
Airbnb does not collect our county TOT tax which is 10%. I will be collecting this upon arrival.
Guest access
Entire use of the home and yard. Plenty of space to park your boat.
The garage is not available for use.

Please remember to bring your America the Beautiful pass, Whiskeytown Lake and Lassen Park pass if you will be visiting our national parks.
