The space is private and secluded but only minutes from popular Applegate Valley wineries and 15 minutes from shopping and eateries in historic Jacksonville. The yurt has an open floor plan with bamboo floors, a comfy queen bed, full size futon for additional guests, wifi, tv with streaming options, mini split heating cooling, wood fireplace. Attached kitchen is fully equipped with cooking essentials, electric stove and oven, full size fridge and freezer. Attached bathroom has heated river rock floors, custom vanity, soaking tub/shower with amazing valley/mountain views, and low flow flushing toilet with composting tank under structure. There are many hiking trails to explore the valley views, forests, and wildlife throughout the property and adjacent blm land. 4 wineries within 5 miles (Longsword, Valley View, Red Lily, Quady North) and many more close by. Access to the Applegate river 2 miles away at Cantrall Buckley Park, Applegate Lake 25 minute drive. Nearby attractions include: Oregon Caves, Crater Lake, Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, Ashland Shakespeare Festival, Britt Festival in Jacksonville.

The Yurt + Property: There is designated parking adjacent to yurt. Long gravel driveway for access. Well paved gravel roads off of the highway. 4 wheel drive is not necessary, average cars should be able to make it. Occasionally we have snow conditions during winter months. The yurt has three spaces- the main yurt space, the kitchen, and the bathroom. All areas have doors separating the spaces. We have electricity throughout with heating. Our main water supply is a well which is safe to drink. The bathroom has low flow flushing toilet with composting tank beneath structure and graywater system for shower, etc. Please don't flush anything but toilet paper. We provide biodegradable soap/shampoo/cleaning supplies, please use these or similar natural cleaning products when possible. We have designated spaces, next to and below, the yurt to spend time outside but feel free to explore on the property! We have wifi available (Starlink) which is mostly reliable and consistent although occasionally it goes out for a short period of time in the evenings. Cell service can be somewhat limited, depending on your carrier. We recommend turning on wifi calling when in the yurt to help increase cell service

*DO NOT SMOKE ANYWHERE IN OR OUTSIDE OF THE YURT
*Do not use the woodstove June-Sept (instead use the mini split for heating needs)

* The only fire permitted is the use of the propane firepit in the designated gravel area- this is usable seasonally depending on fire restrictions in the area

* Must not be left unattended
* Should be kept on leash at all times when outside due to wildlife on property. Our property gets frequented by deer, turkeys, lots of squirrels, and skunks.
* Dog bowls, blankets, and waste bags for animals are available in the yurt- please use them during your stay
* We love animals and want to keep our space pet- friendly. We do not charge a pet fee and in exchange, we ask that you help minimize wear and tear on our space by keeping animals off of the furniture, ensure animals don't scratch floors and furniture, and clean up excessive hair/dirt before leaving
* We reserve the right to charge additional funds if the space requires excessive cleaning or there is damage due to pets

The Area: Jacksonville is the closest larger town (approx. 20 min drive) which has shopping, a grocery store, post office, eateries, etc. but if you need to grab something in a pinch, there is a small grocery store, hardware store, and a drive through coffee shop in Ruch (approx. 5 mins drive) from yurt. We are located approx. 30 mins from larger stores like Costco, Trader Joes, Fred Meyer, Target, etc. in Medford

You are just minutes from at least 4 vineyards, right across the road from the Applegate River and Cantral Buckley Park. 15 minutes to Applegate Lake. 5 minutes to Ruch for a stop at the market, a meal at local Cafe' or church on Sunday.

Definitely need a vehicle in this area, no public transportation.

This property has a mineral well, mainly sulfur. great for your skin and hair, but has an odor. The owners bought it specifically for the health benefits it has. Note the soaking tubs are like many hot springs people seek out. There is drinking water there for you. It is safe to drink, but not easy to get down.

HEAT & AC: The barn has a mini-split system on both floors. In the winter, please adjust the heat down to 60 degrees when you leave. In the summer please turn the AC off when you leave.

PET POLICY:
1. Only one animal allowed. Pet fee is $25 per stay
2. Please pick up and dispose of all pet droppings on the property.
4. Dogs must remain on leash to protect our free-range chickens.
5. The trundle bed is NOT a pet bed. It is for human use only.

RED LILY VINEYARDS:
Guests are able to enjoy Red Lily Vineyards daily from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm May 1 – October 31 and November 1 – April 30, Thursday – Sunday. Please respect business hours. Do not enter their property when they are not open, nor linger after hours.

GATHERING: If guests invite family or friends to enjoy the property/river with them, they must notify the host and pay a $20 fee per guest. A maximum of four extra guests ($80) are allowed at any one time.

The soaking tub was a huge hit as we had just finished a long day of cyceling and running. The property owner was so sweet she even offered to bring epson salt to our room to soak our tired muscles in. She offered recommendations for dinner and breakfast spots in Jacksonville which we took her up on as they were a 2 min walk from our room. She also let me know that we could sit outside on the deck in front of another suite that evening if we wanted to because the room was vacant. This quaint light and bright 1 bedroom is located in a great neighborhood which allows for walking distance to downtown Jacksonville. Downtown Jacksonville has coffee shops, Britt Gardens, wineries, restaurants, trails and so much more. The house is tastefully furnished with a queen sized bed, full gas stove, coffee maker and 340 Mbps Wifi 6 Spectrum internet. The home features two mini splits for comfort and a 40 inch Google TV. $150 non refundable pet deposit will be requested after booking.

This cozy, rustic one bedroom cottage (325 sq. ft.) is just a 15 min. walk from downtown Jacksonville (3/4 mile) and 30 min. from Ashland. It has private parking, on the property. The owner is happy w/ pets in the cottage, but needs to know in advance that a pet is coming (maximum 35lbs) too. There isn't a full kitchen but it has a kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker, so cooking basics won't be a problem. Relax in the outside patio in the summer.

Perched on a hill facing Dutchman Peak and the Siskiyou Crest, our earthen guest cottage is the perfect place to connect with the peace, quiet, and wild beauty of Southern Oregon. We've got many miles of hiking trails to explore, a creek to lounge along, and a pond to dip in.

It's the perfect spot for an artist's or naturalist's retreat, a sleepy getaway with a beloved, or a jump-off point for exploring the Applegate Valley's many amazing hiking trails, rivers, and wineries.

The space
Our guest cottage is located on 280 acres of forest, creek, and field within Full Bloom, an intentional community comprised of 8-10 people who are committed to land stewardship, sustainability, personal growth, and communication skills. Full Bloom is also home to a wood-fired artisan bread bakery and herbal medicine business, and guests are welcome to order a loaf of bread and wellness goods for their stay.

The cottage itself is a cozy, simple space just right for 1-2 people. For bathroom needs, our guests use a rustic composting toilet setup adjacent to the nearby bathhouse. Guests are also welcome to shower and take baths in the bath house. While the bath house is a shared community space, the two showers and clawfoot tub are privately enclosed.

Guest access
Air B+B guests are invited to use the guest cottage without limitations, and are welcome to use the showers and bathtub in the nearby bath house freely. The washer and dryer are reserved for the residents and businesses on land.

To maintain the privacy of our residents and employees, we request that our Air B+B guests do not enter the common building, barn, and other buildings unless invited and accompanied by a Full Bloom resident.

If you'd like to use the pond, you may sign up for a two-hour session at no extra cost. For a small extra fee, we can fire up the sauna for you, too!

Other things to note
Our guest house is a perfect place to leave it all behind and sink into the present moment. To support your disconnection from daily stressors, you will not have cell service or wi-fi access. You can, however, drive about 15 minutes down the road to get a signal.

Our Cottage is not suitable for guests during super smokey times. If it's really smokey close to your reserved dates, we will request that you cancel your reservation.

If you bring a pet, we request that you keep it on leash inside of the deer fence, including in front of the guest house.

This is a scenic stop between PDX and SF and its own destination. One guest says " Her home has a magic of its own." Simple, elegant, and a great base for wine-tasters, paraglider, or roadtrippers. If a house surrounded by nature, vineyards, paraglider pilots, creativity and occasional other travelers sounds interesting, you'll love it here. As a local tourism coordinator, I can direct you to the top attractions. Note: this is a self-contained unit but attached to the main house!

This sun-flooded unit is attached to my house, but self-contained. It has a private entrance, deck, bathroom, and indoor/outdoor kitchenette. Queen-sized bed it outfitted with high-quality linens. Enjoy a spectacular view of a vineyard and the famous paragliding destination, Woodrat Mountain. This is a great space for reading books, conversing, star-gazing, relaxing poolside--or going flying! There is a grocery store, coffee kiosk and restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, or drive 8 miles to the cafes and shops of charming Jacksonville. I can direct toward our top local hikes as well!

Picnic benches under the oak trees, BBQ, seasonal hot tub and swimming pool area. In addition to your indoor bathroom, there is also an outdoor shower.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire property. While the vicinity around the AirBnB is tidy, not all parts of the property are maintained for guests.

Although I envision making this into the Four-Seasons someday (come back in a decade!) this is a rural property and I'm living my real life here. There might be burn piles, unmowed areas, or things stationed for a dump run.

This property sits on a verdant third-acre lot in a lush natural wildlife corridor. The private suite is newly furnished and remodeled, comfortable, and fresh. This is a multi-level home with with 3 sets of stairs. The host occupies the top floor.

The house sits a quarter-mile from downtown Jacksonville, providing a short 5 minute walk to the best local bars and restaurants. The Brit Festival is only a 10 minute walk out the door. A 15-20 minute drive will land you in some of the most amazing wineries and river spots. Visit nearby geological marvels like Table Rock for a hike, or the windy Rogue River for an afternoon of rafting.

The space
TT’s place is perched on top of a mountain, overlooking the Applegate Valley. There are many outdoor areas for lounging and eating. There are 2 beds in the bedroom, one double bed and one twin bed, perfect for a small family. There is also a Queen size Air Mattress that can be placed in the Living Room for extra guests or even on the deck for those wanting to sleep under the stars! Plenty of blankets and pillows to stay warm and cozy. The 27" iMac is available for streaming movies and listening to music or for surfing the internet. There is coffee and tea available and a full kitchen with all the pots and pans one could ever want! And now there is a brand new microwave for guests!

Guest access
The driveway has a private gate with key pad for entrance at the bottom of the road. Then it’s up, up, up!
There is a back and front deck and a fenced in yard. Guests are welcome to hang in the yard or walk along the road trails, above the house.

Other things to note
There are no fires allowed in the fire pit from June-October as there is a fire ban in the area throughout the summer season. No fireworks allowed, either.
Smoking is allowed but not inside the house, there are plenty of places to smoke and enjoy the views. Please use ashtrays and do not flick butts out into the bush as it's a fire hazard in the summer.

Pets are allowed, but only trained cats or lapdogs.. No big dogs.. as they will chase wildlife or run for the neighbors dogs....

The space
Situated at the base of a mountain road, this bright and airy cottage offers privacy with country views. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate are available with a Keurig coffee maker. Both of the beds have down comforters and ample pillows.
For our guests traveling with dogs, a fenced yard is provided for security. Your canine companion is welcome anywhere in the cottage with you. We travel frequently with dogs and strive to provide a space for our guests that is welcoming to you and your dog too.
We maintain a high standard of cleaning and disinfecting for our guest's safety and peace of mind. We have enhanced our cleaning and disinfecting protocol in light of Covid-19 precautions.

Guest access
The front door access is inside of the fenced yard. There is a backdoor with access to the trash. The parking area in front of the cottage as well as the fenced yard are available to cottage guests. Please respect the remaining property as private access only.

Other things to note
Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any substance inside of the cottage or within the fenced yard. Please be respectful of this rule so a stay at Starthistle Cottage is enjoyable for future guests. There is a $250 security deposit in the unfortunate event that repair of damages is required or extra cleaning measures above the normal preparation for future guests occurs. Streaming apps available on the Roku TV using your own account login. Canine guests are welcome. Please keep barking at a minimum to be mindful of our neighbors. Dogs are welcome inside of the cottage or in the yard. Please do not leave dogs unattended on the premises.

Welcome to your spacious private room at the front of a historic Jacksonville home, believed to have been built in 1948. This home belonged to my father for 38 years, and the room you’ll be staying in was once his personal art studio. He was a prolific painter and printmaker, and several of his original works now grace the walls for you to enjoy (and are available for purchase!).

The space has been thoughtfully transformed into a cozy and comfortable retreat—your perfect home away from home. Relax indoors with a queen bed, a couch, and a day bed, along with convenient amenities like a table, microwave, refrigerator, hot water kettle, coffee maker, plates, silverware, and wine glasses. There’s also a closet for storage and a large private bathroom with a tub and all the essentials you might need.

Guests will enter their spacious private room through the front door of the home. The room includes a private en-suite bathroom for your exclusive use.

Please note: One side of the room has a curtained area that conceals a staircase leading to the attic, which is not accessible to guests.

The house is green with gold trim and sits on the corner of Oregon and E Street. Your private entrance is at the front of the house, and I’ll send you your personalized door code the day before your arrival.

Parking is available for up to two cars on E Street, near the front of the house by the dark brown fence. Please make sure your rear bumper stays in front of the yellow curb line that curves around the corner—parking enforcement is active and may issue tickets.

If you’re bringing more than one vehicle, just let me know in advance so I can make sure there's enough space. On Britt concert nights, I’ll place a No Parking sign in your spot to prevent concertgoers from taking it.

We’re just four blocks from the Britt Music Festival—a quick 10-minute walk! You can also hop on the trolley, which takes you up the hill to the amphitheater. We hope you're able to catch a concert or two during your stay in this sweet home!

The thoughtfully appointed designer kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The bathroom features a steam shower and upgraded toiletries and supplies. The adjacent spa(ce) is accessible when guests book massage and spa services. Guests can choose to enjoy fresh air on the quaint front porch rockers or tuck themselves into the picture-perfect secluded patio area right outside their private entrance.

IMPORTANT: Please read before booking. This wonderful location has many perks of being right in the center of the action along with the sights and sounds that come with it. Please note there is potential for noise especially in the evenings. The wine tasting room right next door hosts live music March - December on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays typically from 6-8pm. It's amazing for those who appreciate good music! Most of the music is mellow and atmospheric, but there are evenings where it can be lively. For a schedule of artists & events please visit the South Stage Cellars website. For those who like to go to bed super early and want or need a completely quiet place, the studio might not be the best choice. The studio itself is a very special tranquil oasis in the heart of a bustling little town for the most part, but on some live music and special event evenings in town, the studio might not be ideal for those wanting a completely quiet place. The host provides ear plugs. This listing is not baby-proofed and is not suitable for toddlers or small children. Two guest maximum - no exceptions.

The space
The property is a studio type cabin next to the main home in a separate cabin. There is a parking space available right by the cabin. There are 3 stairs to access the cabin.

Our charming space is located 3 miles from Applegate Lake and right across the street from the Mule Mountain hiking trail. We are very close to several wineries - The Red Lily, Valley View and CowHorn. We are about 25 minutes from Jacksonville (home of the Britt), 35 min. from Medford and 45 min. from Grants Pass (Jet boat rides on the Rogue river) . Bring your coffee or glass of wine up to "The Spot" and enjoy the expansive views of the river, the valley and the Red Butte mountain range .

The space
This space is available for 2 people and is located on a 14 acre parcel. The main house is located about 20 ft away and is separated by a fence. You have your own private front and back patio as well as access to what we call "The Spot" this is a wooded area above the cottage with hammocks, umbrellas, lounge chairs and a picnic table with expansive views of the river, valleys, and the Red Butt mountains.
This space has a kitchenette, full bath, a nice bedroom with a California king size bed as well as a comfortable living area. We have made every effort to stock the cottage with everything you may need. Please know that we are out in the rural areas of the county and have recently upgraded to Starlink so your phone and internet service will be reliable.

This is a very quiet area but you might hear an occasional lawn tractor, machinery noise from the shop, or some barking from our 2 friendly Golden Retrievers. Please also note that we may have our irrigation going at certain times of the day during the spring and summer to water our pastures and expansive lawn area which is necessary to reduce the fire danger. We will make every effort to do these chores while you are out enjoying the surrounding areas. Applegate Lake is a wonderful place to go for the day and hang out. Bring fishing poles, bikes, kayaks or SUP's and enjoy! The town of Ruch is about 10 miles away and has a small grocery store, hardware store and a few places to eat. We should also suggest that you do most of your grocery shopping before you arrive because we are out in the rural area of the Rogue Siskiyou National Forest.

Guests are able to access the areas around the Copper Store, the front and back patio, the horseshoe pit area and "The Spot." Guests my also access either of the 2 lawn areas in front. Perfect for playing frisbee.
You should download any maps you might need as you will not have good cell reception on your adventure to the Copper Store Getaway. Once you arrive we do have WIFI available.

Other things to note
Please note that we have 3 horses on the property and we ask that you don't pet them, feed them or enter any of the pastures. Please don't go down to the barn area or access the river at any point on the property. We are up above the river about 100 feet and there is not an easy access trail to the river.

The space
Brand new "light-straw-clay" construction is eco-friendly and a highly insulative construction technique. The interior has a lovely sage green earthen plaster, wood floors, a woodstove, and a complete kitchen. You will need to be comfortable using the nearby composting toilet, as there is no indoor toilet. The 6ft long clawfoot tub is placed on the deck so you can relax in a hot bath while listening to the sounds of the river and the birds. Privacy is not compromised, so do not worry!

Guest access
The wood-fired sauna is an excellent way to unwind and detox while staying here. Please inquire for details and to schedule with the host who will prepare the sauna for you. The fee for a sauna is $30 to cover the cost of wood, preparing the fire, and cleaning.

Other things to note
I reside on the property with my 9 year old daughter and operate my business and tasting room, Wild Wines, here as well. There are other tenants and occasional guests on the property but the guesthouse is well enough removed from the main centers of activity as it is the farthest structure on the property and nobody needs to be passing by it to intrude on your privacy. The composting toilet may occasionally be used by another resident, but it is not a primary destination for most residents and my home has indoor toilets.
