The Cottage is one of the few on the island that will still take you back to its heritage though without depriving you of the luxuries of today. This 2nd story cottage is totally private with its own entrance and 1 covered parking space. There is one large bonus/bedroom with two queen beds adjacent to a full bath. The Bedroom overlooks the cottage courtyard. The space also offers a main living room equipped with an electric fireplace. A fully functioning kitchen with new appliances adjoins the living room. The home is fully stocked to include: dining and cookware, linens pillows and blankets, towels, iron, etc. There is an onsite washing machine and dryer free of charge. - "Clean and had everything you'd need for a home away from home." - "What a wonderful cottage in a fantastic location in CDM. After doing much research, we booked this beachy apartment for 9 nights. Always a little nerve racking when you hope that the accommodation is as good as you see online and from the previous reviews. Well, it met and exceeded our high standards. Wonderful decor, great location, extremely well appointed and most importantly, impeccably clean. The owners were extremely responsive, when they enquired about our stay, we mentioned that there were only 2 wine glasses and no dishcloths, and they arrived by courier the next day..... very impressed! Everything that you could wish for to enjoy a wonderful vacation was provided - wifi, Apple TV, A/C, beach chairs and accoutrements, garage parking, and an extremely well equipped kitchen. The apartment is located 196 steps from Ocean Boulevard, perfect for walks and watching the sunset. This particular unit had a wonderful outdoor space which included wicker settees, and a full table to enjoy an outdoor meal, and gas BBQ. Our only criticism was that the bathroom was a little tight, and the corner is quite busy with traffic as it is a four-way stop. We would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a weekend/week getaway, with walkability to the ocean as well as all the shops and restaurants in Corona Del Mar."

Our mission is to offer an awesome beach experience while at the same time being located in activity-rich, walk-friendly north Laguna Beach.

Do not be concerned that the property backs up to the Coast Hwy. It is not a traditional "highway" but is the ICONIC HIGHWAY 1 that weaves up the Pacific Coast of California on to Canada. In Laguna it is just a main artery street with stop lights every couple of blocks. There is a courtyard, buffer between it and the cottage. The bedroom, living room and deck overlook Cliff Dr and the ocean beyond.

Laguna Beach is among the top beach resorts in the U.S. The Laguna Beach beach-side experience is all around us, not partying groups that are so prolific in other parts of our town and in neighboring towns, but if you are coming here for total quiet, our place may not be for you. LagunaBeachCharmers cottages are for visitors looking for a vibrant beach experience with all the excitement and amenities of a bustling, popular, upscale Southern California beach town. At times there are trucks, trolleys passing on the free trolley route we are on, occasional construction, barking dogs, motorcycles, exotic cars showing off and modified exhaust cars (whose revved up rides are forbidden in Laguna Beach but they try to do it anyway), sirens and more, that pass by our cottages and by our immediate neighborhood of $5M+ homes. More than half of our guests return time and again.

Also, while we have great street parking in front of the building for eight cars, on warm weekends in those places fill up fast with beachgoers. Please be patient and a place will open up for you usually after 5 PM until about 10 AM. Weekends are the busiest. Once you are at the cottage, unless you're taking day trips, you will rarely have to move your car as we are a "walkability" neighborhood.

Also, unlike most homes in Laguna Beach, we are happy to say we offer central air conditioning in the living room, and bedroom. We usually have a very mild temperature range but more and more there will be an occasional heat wave which, of course, no one can predict. We also have portable fans and ceiling fans

For your safety and health concerns: we offer contactless, keyless entry. Our building is very well configurated for physical distancing. Our 3 cottages are well separated and you do not have to interact with any other guest. All bedding, including duvet covers, etc, are washed with each new guest using a professional laundry service. We have a new LG washer and dryer, state of the art for sanitizing and maximum cleaning power. These are available complementary (along with provided scent free detergent) for the guests to use.

In Laguna Beach it is just an ordinary 2 lanes each way main artery street with stop lights every couple of blocks. There is a garden courtyard buffer between the street and the cottage. The Bedroom and Living Room are on the Cliff Drive side and overlook Cliff Dr and the ocean across the street.

There is a maximum of 4 overnight occupants including all people and pets. Please comply as we do enforce the occupancy limit. No gatherings of more than 6 people. As a courtesy to all guests on site, any pets must be approved to make sure a safe and quieter environment is provided. Please send a note prior to booking with the age, breed and weight of the requested pet(s). While we love dogs, constant barkers are discouraged and we request that the pet not be left alone for an extended period of time. We also request that all dogs be walked off-site for potty purposes. There are many spots very nearby. The unit is located within walking distance to the best restaurants, beaches, shopping, festivals, art galleries, museums and activities that Laguna Beach offers yet it is in a quieter location. As a courtesy to all the owner limits occupancy to ensure that all guests and neighbors will have a quiet, peaceful and wonderful stay. No Vaping, Smoking or drug use is allowed on the property.

This property has been owned by the same owners since 1996. Considerable effort is made to maintain it in excellent condition. The views are unmatched for the village area as typically one needs to go high up into the hills to get such a fantastic view. This property with its unique location offers the best of up-close ocean views and sunsets while having a walk everywhere location. This is not easily found in Laguna Beach and why the property is so highly valued.

This unit is in a back house on the property and is 1 of 3 units. Each unit is set up to maximize the privacy of each unit and occupants. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 6 am. Two (2) Washer/Drying Machines are provided for your use, free of charge. Machines are easily accessible and shared amongst 3 units.

For guests traveling with pets, prior to booking, they must be approved. Please send breed type, weight and age. We also request that they not be left alone for extended periods of time, are not constant barkers and are walked off site for potty break. Children must be a minimum of 3 years of age. While the pictures are great, the property is even better in person as I've updated the exterior with fresh coat of white paint and white trim. The interior is now painted a soft white color with white trim for a bright updated look. I've also updated the queen sofa sleeper in the living area with a high performance fabric sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress. The material color is blues, whites and silvers. It looks beautiful. There is a new white eating table, new black side tables, new area rug, new white blackout curtains, new bedding, towels and more. The unit has been occupied since the updates were completed so I've yet to get the pictures taken and updated. So, if you like what you see in the listing, it is going to be even better when you arrive.

The bedroom area does not have a door. It does have curtains that can be closed for privacy. A door was not installed as there is a beautiful ocean view from inside the unit and I did not want to block the view. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave/convection oven and there are 2 Nuwave Cooktops. All pots/pans, utensils and dishware are in very good condition. There is a BBQ for your private use.

There is a maximum of 3 overnight occupants including all people and pets. Please comply as we do enforce the occupancy limit. As a courtesy to all guests on site, any pets must be approved to make sure a safe and quieter environment is provided. Please send a note prior to booking with the age, breed and weight of the requested pet(s). While we love dogs, constant barkers are discouraged and we request that the pet not be left alone for an extended period of time. We also request that all dogs be walked off-site for potty purposes. There are many spots very nearby. The unit is located within walking distance to the best restaurants, beaches, shopping, festivals, art galleries, museums and activities that Laguna Beach offers yet it is in a quieter location. As a courtesy to all the owner limits occupancy to ensure that all guests and neighbors will have a quiet, peaceful and wonderful stay. No Vaping, Smoking or drug use is allowed on the property.

This property has been owned by the same owners since 1996. Considerable effort is made to maintain it in excellent condition. The views are unmatched for the village area. This unit is in a back house on the property and is 1 of 3 units. Each unit is set up to maximize the privacy of each unit and occupants. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 6 am. If you are looking for a unique experience, where your vacation home is not just a bed for the night, you have come to the right place! This house is truly a vacation in itself. Decorated and owned by professional Interior Designers/Decorators, this Caribbean-Inspired Getaway is unlike any other home. Filled with one-of-a-kind stained glass (including beautifully carved stained glass bedroom doors, dual masters - one we call the 'Captain's Room' featuring a queen bed, hanging chair hammock and a clawfoot bathtub perched on a pedestal and the other 'The Bamboo Room' has furniture taken straight from a villa in Mexico including a rocking chair and double bed handmade from bamboo.

Our 800 sq ft wraparound cobblestone porch overlooks our beautiful peaceful street and expands our bungalow into an outdoor environment, with its dining table for 12 made from 100+ yr old barn wood. Close our outdoor curtains for even more privacy as you lounge on the hanging bed and take in the scent of the fresh flowers along the perimeter of the veranda. Ahhh...

Parking - The BBH is a 1950s beach bungalow with street parking. Due to the California stay-at-home restrictions, parking has become much trickier recently, especially at night and on weekends. The Bitchin’ Beach House is truly adorable but we wanted to make sure you are aware of the issue prior to booking. If you’ve never been to beautiful Dana point, walking and biking around town can be really fun!

Spacious stand-alone guest cottage in the heart of Old Town Orange. It’s a great place for parents of Chapman students to stay while visiting their kids. Within walking distance to the Circle with so many great restaurants and bars that it makes it difficult to choose where to go. The bright and airy décor reflects the charm of Old Town Orange. Orange is loaded with history. Walking around the streets enjoying all the unique home styles is part of what makes our neighborhood interesting, with most of the homes built a 100 years ago. Located minutes away from Disneyland, 15 minutes from John Wayne Airport, 20 minutes to Newport Beach, 3 minutes from Chapman University and a short walk to great dining in the Circle.

Old Towne Orange is a great walking town. We are conveniently located off of the 55 Freeway. If visiting Orange County for the first time you are centrally located to almost everything.

The little home can accommodate up to three people but it is best suited for 2. Not suited for small children.

Please note.... we have two units on the property, a front house and a back cottage. The cottage is the one available for stays. We are in the front house and available if needed.
The City of Orange has a newly adapted policy on Short Term Rentals (10-01-2021). Each reservation will be required to add on a 10% Lodging Tax, similar to the local hotel or motel reservations. This fee goes directly to the city. If the fee is not collected at the time of the reservation it will be required prior to checking in. Unfortunately, we are required to charge this and wish there was a way around it considering we have always tried to run a "mom and pop" type rental. We are licensed, permitted, insured and pay taxes on our rental unit. Considering all of this, our hope is that you will still stay in our cottage and get that feeling that you are staying with extended family while away from home and fully enjoy all the charm that Orange has to offer.

You will find everything you need in this well thought out cottage for a wonderful beach vacation! This historic beach bungalow was built in 1926. It is on the historic register designated as a 'key' contributor. The cottage was completely remodeled and updated in 2011. Located two short blocks to Main Beach and downtown, you will find Laguna's favorite restaurants and shops within a two minute walk. Our cottage has two bedrooms: the master bedroom has a king bed with french doors that open onto a peek-a-boo ocean view deck and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with a tub.

The fully-stocked, eat-in kitchen has been upgraded with all new appliances (refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher) as well as a built in water filter for fresh drinking water. The LG full sized washer and dryer are brand new and our located in an attached laundry room.

You will find all the comforts of home in our spotless cottage, including a 42'' flat panel TV with advanced programming cable and WIFI internet. All linens and utilities are provided, and weekly maid service can be arranged for an additional fee.

You will have everything you need to enjoy the perfect Laguna Beach vacation. There is a small one car attached garage for your use, however with the close proximity to town and the beach, you will have no need for a car!

First of all the location is incredible. We walked everywhere. Really only needed our car to venture away from Laguna. The walk to the beach is less than 6 minutes. The same amount of time to walk downtown Laguna Beach. Location, location, location! The layout of our cottage is perfect if you have guests stay or visit you. The home comes stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste and an extra toothbrush, paper goods and if you are lucky maybe some wine or local brew to kick off your stay. The cottage and property are not “baby proofed”, therefore we ask that only adult guests consider staying. We are not a pet friendly home listing. Our home is located near Orange County Fire Authority Station #16. The firefighters are called to the station for emergencies via a siren that can be heard through out the canyon. The siren can go off any time, day or night. This can be distressing for some, but keep in mind that it is a call to the firefighters and not a siren to alert residents.

The Surfside Cottage is a perfect balance between modern features, privacy and convenience. The Surfside Cottage offers comfortable accommodations in an ideal location , 1/2 mile to Del Mar St. Shops, Restaurants & to San Clemente Pier. San Clemente's very own Ole Hanson Restored Event Casino is just a short 10 minute walk away. Please know your pet will be considered for this rental however there is an additional $150 pet fee.

The space
Welcome to Surfside Cottage where you are greeted by a charming front patio with a cafe table for 2. Follow the path to your private spacious courtyard and discover the ideal space for entertaining or simply unwinding after a day of sights and surf, then head inside to your perfectly furnished beach retreat. The spacious living room features a plush sectional sofa, a large Flat Screen Apple TV and a cozy fireplace. The modern fully equipped kitchen boasts high end appliances, a Keurig machine as well as a breakfast bar with seating for two. This charming eat-in kitchen also features a dining table with seating for 5. Follow the stairs up to the private Master Retreat, offering a luxurious Cal King size bed, large Flat Screen, TV built in work space and custom walk in closet. The En Suite Master Bathroom features a mirrored vanity with dual sinks and modern fixtures as well as a shower.
The two well appointed guest bedrooms are located on the first level of the home. The first Guest Bedroom features a Queen size bed, a Flat Screen TV, DVD Player and convenient access to the guest bathroom. Guest Bedroom 2 is furnished with a bunk bed, featuring a Twin size bed over a Full size bed, plus an additional Twin size roll away trundle bed. The ideal space to entertain the kids, this room also features a play area with games and Flat Screen TV. The Guest Bathroom offers a spacious combination shower and tub as well as a vanity with sink.
Just outside, the home's inviting courtyard creates a tranquil ambiance. Gather around the chiminea in the evenings as you relax on the plush outdoor living furniture. Enjoy a soak in the private bubbling hot tub, or enjoy an afternoon of barbecuing a great meal. Whether you're relaxing in the private courtyard , enjoying time together in your well appointed beach house or walking to the white sandy beach just steps down the street, you're sure to enjoy San Clemente's unbeatable weather and beautiful scenery.
For added convenience with your ultimate beach vacation in mind towels, chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards and surfboards are also included at the home as well as full size laundry facilities. Street parking only.

•This home has 20 concrete steps to the entry way. If stairs pose an inconvenience this may not be for you.
•No smoking is allowed inside any of our properties
•Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house (like most in the area) does not have air conditioning.
•This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting.

We have done our best to make this it as comfortable as possible while providing all the amenities you would find in your own home environment. Below are some instructions and details as well as just a few rules I ask you to abide by to keep yourself and all of the surrounding neighbors happy.





TV: THE REMOTE THAT SAYS DIRECT TV CONTROLS THE VOLUME AND CABLE. THE VIZIO REMOTE SWITCHES BETWEEN APPLE TV & DIRECT TV BY SWITCHING THROUGH THE SELECTED INPUT.

THERE IS A SMALL PNUEMATIC BUTTON THAT IS LOCATED ON THE KITCHEN SINK WHICH OPERATES THE SINK DISPOSAL.

LAUNDRY
IS LOCATED DOWNSTAIRS BETWEEN BEDROOMS.

HOT TUB
IS LOCATED OUTSIDE ON THE COURTYARD. PLEASE WASH YOUR FEET PRIOR TO ENTERING SPA. PLEASE KEEP THE COVER ON AT ALL TIMES WHEN NOT USING THE HOT TUB. DO NOT RUN THE JETS ON THE SPA PAST 9:30 PM OR BEFORE 9:30 AM AS THEY ARE LOUD AND BOTHER THE NEIGHBORS. *** THIS HOT TUB REQUIRES OCCUPANTS TO ADD 1 TEASPOON OF CHLORINE PER DAY WHEN USING. THE CHLORINE IS PROVIDED AND IS LOCATED IN THE EXTERIOR CLOSET IN THE COURT YARD. PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION AS YOUR HOT TUB WILL NOT STAY CLEAN WITHOUT THE EXTRA CHLORINE.*** PLEASE DO NOT OVERLAD THE HOT TUB. IT IS DESIGNED TO HOLD A MAX OF 4 ADULTS. PLEASE ADD WATER AS NECESSARY TO KEEP THE WATER LEVEL ABOVE THE TOP MOST JETS WITHIN THE HOT TUB. A POOL CLEANER COMES MOST EVERY MONDAY MORNING TO HANDLE THE CLEANING AND CHEMICAL TREATMENT OF THE HOT TUB.

*A GARDNER COMES ONCE A WEEK TO CLEAN THE COURTYARD AND HANDLE THE LANDSCAPING DUTIES.

FIREPLACE
IS A GAS ONLY FIREPLACE. THERE IS A SWITCH LOCATED ON THE SIDE OF THE WEST PILAR OF THE FIREPLACE THAT TURNS IT ON AND OFF.
PLEASE TURN OFF THE FIRPLACE BEFORE LEAVING OR AT NIGHT BEFORE BED.

HEATING INTRUCTIONS
ON THE DOWNSTAIRS WALL BETWEEN THE 2 ROOMS INFRONT OF THE WASHER AND DRYER. TURN MIDDLE BUTTON TO HEAT AND TURN RIGHT BUTTON TO AUTO.ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE AS NECESSRY.

TRASH
The trash gets taken every Friday morning. If you are vacationing over a Friday I recommend taking the trashcans to the street Thursday evening. The front Neighbor will usually do it, however, if they do not there is 1 Black (non recycled trash) 1 blue (recycled trash) and 1 brown (yard waste) per unit that should be placed curb side and then brought back to the west side of the driveway next to the retaining wall. FYI there is a large trashcan located in the corridor to the courtyard that is used to accumulate trash bags from inside the house so as to not have to walk your trash bags all the way to the street side trashcans every time the house hold trash becomes full.

This is the ultimate beach bungalow. Located just steps from the world famous Main Street, Huntington Beach Pier, and of course, miles of Southern Californias best beach.
This place offers "everyday resort living" with all the charm of an old fashion beach bungalow.
The backyard has a built in bamboo bar and a custom jacuzzi hot tub. There is also a 140 degree dry sauna, great for detox after hitting all those bars and restaurants.
Great way to relax and enjoy your vacation.

The space
I love this bungalow and so will you. Originally built between 1905 and 1920, (the title just has a ?), I completely refurbished and upgraded it over the last 15 years or so. The amenities offer what I call “everyday resort living” but still has that laid back beach bungalow vibe going. You'll be literally steps from Main Street with restaurants, entertainment, the pier and, of course, the world famous beaches. Everything is just a walk or a bike ride away from the bungalow.
While here, you'll get great ocean breezes every afternoon. The front yard is a great place to hang out. The neighbors are friendly and still smile and say HI when walking past. The house is comfy and cozy. The place has beautiful, original California Redwood floors. The kitchen was updated and is fully stocked to accommodate any of your cooking needs. There is a propane barbecue grill out back for your use.
The bathroom has the original claw foot soaking tub, pedestal sink and a separate, stand alone shower.
The first bedroom has a triple bunk bed with 2 full size bunk beds on both bottom and top and an extra twin trundle bed that slides out for even more sleeping space. Custom built cabinetry offers plenty of storage for all of your things..
The main bedroom is awesome! It has original California Redwood floors, custom built raised beam ceiling, skylight, custom built Alder wood cabinetry, custom built queen size Alder wood Murphy bed, French doors open up to the incredible back yard.
The back yard is natural slate with custom built bamboo bar with built in Jacuzzi hot tub, a built in, 140 degree infrared dry sauna. There is also a propane gas barbecue grill for you to use.

This whole place was done with the idea of "Every Day Resort Living" in mind.

I have a small back house on this property, which is separated by a fence, so I am required that I say the following:
            
This is a whole house rental and all the house, the yard and the amenities will be yours, there will be nobody else using the house, the front yard or back yard, both side yards,or any of the amenities.

I do have another house on this "property", but it is separated by a fence, it also has its own private entrance and its own private yard. So, while this is technically a "shared property", the house is its own, separate,
private house and private yard.
            
Again, you will have exclusive use of the house itself, the front yard, the back yard, both side yards, the hot tub, the sauna and all other amenities that come with this house, which is separate from the other house and yard on the "property".
