Blessing Cottage is a charming, vintage cottage located two blocks from one of Laguna's most popular surfing, skimming, and boogie boarding beaches. Main Beach, downtown Laguna, and the Art Festivals, are all within an easy five to ten minute stroll. The convenient location, plus the many amenities of the cottage, create the ultimate Laguna Beach vacation home.

The cottage features hardwood floors throughout, a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, two bedrooms each with a queen-size bed and a dining area that seats six. The lush gardens in both the front and back yards provide a tranquil retreat. Enjoy cooking and dining under the grape arbor on the large back patio, overlooking the lovely landscaped garden. Everything needed for fun at the beach has been provided, including beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, umbrella, and beach towels. There is an outdoor shower with hot water so you can rinse off after the beach.

Our mission is to offer an awesome beach experience while at the same time being located in activity-rich, walk-friendly north Laguna Beach.

Do not be concerned that the property backs up to the Coast Hwy. It is not a traditional "highway" but is the ICONIC HIGHWAY 1 that weaves up the Pacific Coast of California on to Canada. In Laguna it is just a main artery street with stop lights every couple of blocks. There is a courtyard, buffer between it and the cottage. The bedroom, living room and deck overlook Cliff Dr and the ocean beyond.

Laguna Beach is among the top beach resorts in the U.S. The Laguna Beach beach-side experience is all around us, not partying groups that are so prolific in other parts of our town and in neighboring towns, but if you are coming here for total quiet, our place may not be for you. LagunaBeachCharmers cottages are for visitors looking for a vibrant beach experience with all the excitement and amenities of a bustling, popular, upscale Southern California beach town. At times there are trucks, trolleys passing on the free trolley route we are on, occasional construction, barking dogs, motorcycles, exotic cars showing off and modified exhaust cars (whose revved up rides are forbidden in Laguna Beach but they try to do it anyway), sirens and more, that pass by our cottages and by our immediate neighborhood of $5M+ homes. More than half of our guests return time and again.

Also, while we have great street parking in front of the building for eight cars, on warm weekends in those places fill up fast with beachgoers. Please be patient and a place will open up for you usually after 5 PM until about 10 AM. Weekends are the busiest. Once you are at the cottage, unless you're taking day trips, you will rarely have to move your car as we are a "walkability" neighborhood.

Also, unlike most homes in Laguna Beach, we are happy to say we offer central air conditioning in the living room, and bedroom. We usually have a very mild temperature range but more and more there will be an occasional heat wave which, of course, no one can predict. We also have portable fans and ceiling fans

For your safety and health concerns: we offer contactless, keyless entry. Our building is very well configurated for physical distancing. Our 3 cottages are well separated and you do not have to interact with any other guest. All bedding, including duvet covers, etc, are washed with each new guest using a professional laundry service. We have a new LG washer and dryer, state of the art for sanitizing and maximum cleaning power. These are available complementary (along with provided scent free detergent) for the guests to use.

While the pictures are great, the property is even better in person as I've updated the exterior with fresh coat of white paint and white trim. The interior is now painted a soft white color with white trim for a bright updated look. I've also updated the queen sofa sleeper in the living area with a high performance fabric sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress. The material color is blues, whites and silvers. It looks beautiful. There is a new white eating table, new black side tables, new area rug, new white blackout curtains, new bedding, towels and more. The unit has been occupied since the updates were completed so I've yet to get the pictures taken and updated. It is on the historic register designated as a 'key' contributor. The cottage was completely remodeled and updated in 2011. Located two short blocks to Main Beach and downtown, you will find Laguna's favorite restaurants and shops within a two minute walk. First of all the location is incredible. We walked everywhere. Really only needed our car to venture away from Laguna. The walk to the beach is less than 6 minutes. The same amount of time to walk downtown Laguna Beach. Location, location, location! The layout of our cottage is perfect if you have guests stay or visit you. - "What a perfect month, in a perfect house! We loved everything about it. Upon arrival, the house was spotless and very welcoming. It had all the amenities we needed (and some we didn't know we needed!) but was a very quick walk to the grocery store for food and such. We spent many mornings having our coffee on the front patio, watching the neighbors take their morning walks or having a glass of wine in the evening, as the sun was setting. The backyard had everything we needed and though we didn't sit back there as much as the front patio, we did enjoy playing cards on the large patio table and sitting by the fire a few nights. And the garden!!! Oh my, everyday I felt like I found a type of plant that I hadn't seen the day before. And I loved that a lot of them were labeled. The inside of the house fit our needs perfectly. While the kitchen was tiny, it had all that we needed and I found it easy to cook meals in - though we did eat out most of the time. The living room was comfortable and once we figured out how to work the remote (wait - maybe we should have read the instructions first!), we spent evenings that we were home, watching TV. The bedroom was just the right size for us, with plenty of closet space and hangers and the bathroom was beautiful, with an awesome shower - loved that there was a bench!. Drenda and Rick were quick to answer any questions and were very good hosts. The walk to the beach was very quick, (the walk back took a bit longer as it is mostly uphill) and we spent a ton of time there. There are many great restaurants and bars and LOTS of live music, all within walking distance from the house. We brought our car but actually only used it twice the entire month. All in all, it was great place to stay and we loved getting to be "locals" for our time there and if it wasn't for missing our grandkids, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!!! PS Short note - my husband still works remotely Monday-Friday and found the garage a perfect place to set up office. It is a much nicer space than just a garage!"

Both upstairs bedrooms share a balcony that looks out over the spacious enclosed back yard. The lush backyard will be newly landscaped with table, fire pit and BBQ. Driveway offers covered parking for 2 vehicles and ample parking for 4 cars.



The dining area has bench seating on one side with chairs on the other for 4 people. The living room has a cozy fireplace, comfortable seating, and a large flat screen smart TV with premium channels and Netflix. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare the finest meals for the pickiest gourmet chefs. The separate laundry room is also well stocked with all the beach equipment needed for your short stroll to the beach.



This home was almost a total rebuilt and newly decorated throughout. Enjoy the excellent decorator touches and warmth of this cottage home. Stay a month or longer and you will want to return every year! Laguna Beach offers a variety of activities for your expanded stay. Summer art festivals, world class dining, shopping, and some of the most beautiful coastline you will find. Situated between LA and San Diego this is an excellent destination for discovering all California has to offer.
