My 2 story house is 1/2 block from oceanfront beach and 4 blocks from bay.
There are 3 bedrooms that can sleep 6. There’s a generous sized master with king bed, bedroom with a double and twin bed and den/family room that has twin daybed with trundle. There is a Japanese floor mattress to sleep one extra (child).
There is one large full bath upstairs with tub and shower and double sinks, and a small 1/2 guest bath downstairs.
The kitchen has all the basic modern appliances and there’s a brand new washer and dryer conveniently located in the master bedroom.
There is central air and heating, a wood burning/gas fireplace in living room. There’s a propane barbecue grill and we hope in future to add a small hot tub.

I have a front brick patio with two lounge chairs, a table with four dining chairs and two captain’s chairs.
If you look toward the beach you often see the kite surfers’ colorful kites floating above the ocean.
and Catalina is also often visible.
You can't find a better location to be in the Los Angeles area than where I live. You get a small town feel with the convenience of walking yet with all the amenities of a big city. You are close to all the SoCal attractions like Disneyland, Sports venues and Hollywood, as well as all the best beaches for surfing and other water activities.

This 1920s cottage style home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The kitchen comes with everything you need to cook your meals and make your morning coffee! Located in the kitchen is also a washer & dryer. The bathroom is stocked with all essentials including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hairdryer and curling iron. The living room has two stylish papasan chairs and a day sofa (day sofa can sleep one person). Relax and watch something on the smart tv or enjoy a game of Jenga! The first bedroom has a queen bed, roku tv, dresser and closet. The second bedroom has a full size bed and a roku tv with a closet attached. In the closet attached to bathroom and the second room there are extra towels and linens, beach chairs, towels, toys and umbrella. If you are traveling with an infant or child, there is a high chair, baby bath, outlet covers and a pack n play/travel crib stored in the closet of the first room.

Cottage de La Peninsule is a wonderful spacious cottage for families and friends wanting to meet up and enjoy Southern California's relaxed beach living. Just a block north is Alamitos Bay with a nice swimming beach - perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding or sailing. The kids will love it. The beautiful Pacific ocean is just a few yards out the front door, south - great for wind sailing, kayaking, sailing. Please keep in mind we are not directly on the beach. The cottage is situated on a side street, yards to the boardwalk/ocean. You can hear the ocean and feel the cool breeze however we do not have a waters view.
Cottage de La Peninsule has an open floor plan, perfect for family and friends wanting a bit more space. Our two full bathrooms have recently been remodeled.
The cottage rooms are all on ground level - ideal for those not wanting to climb stairs. The front door has private access with a second entrance off the kitchen. Street parking is directly in front of the cottage or garage parking is available upon request.
Cottage de La Peninsule provides a separate washroom fully equipped with washer & dryer, laundry soap & large soaking sink. Included is a large garage stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, & a kayak! (limited liability waiver required.) There is a side door directly off the kitchen for easy wash off from beach/ bay after a day at the beach. Not to mention a BBQ grill directly off the kitchen.

My beach cottage is a two story, 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home with a front patio and small side patio off the kitchen.

Large Master bedroom has a king size bed, love seat, TV and a brand new washer and dryer in the walk-in master closet.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed and twin bed.

Bedroom 3 doubles as a family room and has a twin daybed with a trundle bed that pulls out. There is a 55” TV and seating for at least 6. There is a vintage working piano, a treasure chest full of games as well as a dedicated office space.

Dining room has table and 6 chairs. The kitchen has all the basics as well as a few bonus appliances, pots, pans, utensils and cutlery. The pantry will include basic items like coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil and paper towels. There is a large farmhouse type sink but NO garbage disposal.

Living room has seating for at least 6, extra blankets in a storage ottoman, custom bookshelves and a working fireplace upon request.

There are extra pillows, linens and blankets. We also have a crib and a high chair available.

Guest access
There is street parking available in front of the cottage. The front gate is open and your key will be in the lockbox.

Street sweeping occurs on Thursday and Friday from 9am-11am. There are street signs that indicate which side you can park on which day.

There is also a parking space behind the garage and a gate marked with our address that will allow you to access the home.

The garage is not accessible to guests.

Other things to note
There is one available parking space in the back. There is scheduled street sweeping on my street on Thursdays and Fridays from 9am-11am.

I will be providing a booklet with maps, restaurant and other shopping information and phone numbers that will be helpful during your stay here.

Tobacco & Cannabis smoking/vaping is allowed outside on either the front or the side patio. No smoking or vaping inside.
