The hotel is old but I thought it was perfect. It did have a small kitchen and a fridge. The walls were thin and we could hear everything but it did not affect us at all. It is located right in the middle of a ton of restaurants and coffee shops. You can walk everywhere. There is a bar downstairs so keep that in mind. The manager was very nice and accommodated us with the parking at the last minute. We loved the old windows and had them open the entire time we were there. This does not have an elevator so keep that in mind as we walked three floors each time. The tile in the bathroom was cracked and old however that did not bother us as everything worked. We will absolutely stay here again. The only complaint I would have it you are given a parking number to park in or you will be towed however I could not see the numbers when I parked so I parked in another spot not realizing they had numbers. I went to move my car in the morning and someone was parked in my spot. This hotel is quaint and located in a great area and I felt safe the entire time. "

(But not a full kitchen, no stove, no oven, no sink) Fast internet (500 mps) and a large screen TV 55 inch (Nextflix, Vudu, Amazon video, YouTube, Spectrum, sign in via your internet apps). The studio also has a DVD player with more apps.

Oceanfront patio with Adirondack chairs, table, & BBQ. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys are provided. The use of 2 kayaks and boogie boards are available upon request.

The property is completely Non-Smoking (cigarette, vape, pot) both inside the apartment and on the porch. Smoking on the premises will result in a fee of $250.00. You may smoke on the street or away from the property.

No pets allowed. $250 fine if a animal is found on the property during your stay. *We keep our units pet free for the future guest and their possible allergy concerns. If a dog is bought to the unit we have to have the carpets clean and the unit complete sanitized so we can offer a pet free environment. Which also takes an extra day to prepare again for the next guests. Thus this is why the $250 pet fee is charged.

- "Hosts were great - available but not hovering. Location was amazing, minutes to both the bay and the ocean! Close to shopping, restaurants but far enough away you are out of the noise and traffic. Parking can be tight on weekends, but we were always close enough it wasn’t an inconvenient walk. Everyone we encountered was super friendly. Laundromat is a couple blocks away on 62nd - you can wash and dry in under 45 mins. For the coffee drinking travellers who want to make sure they have the correct supplies, coffee pot is standard drip type and there is also a french press. We will be back."

- "The house was beautiful and clean. We were able to walk to the Aquarium of the Pacific, in less than 30 minutes. There are some homeless in the area, but felt safe in the day, we didn't really go out at night. There was 1 parking space. During the day parking is easy, but later it gets hard to find a spot. I saw an earlier review that mentioned a shortage of silverware and only 1 dishtowel. There are 6 forks, 1 large spoon, one small spoon and 1 dishtowel and 1 washcloth. There are 3 plastic wine glasses. So, other than being short on some items, it was a very nice stay. There is a Mexican restaraunt a couple blocks away that is good. "

Someone comes in to clean each week for a longer stay like ours! The apartment is stocked with everything you would need and plenty of extras: dishes, pots and pans, bowls, silverware, utensils, pantry items, basic spices and olive oil, towels, toilet tissue, paper towels. I can't say enough good about the host. I could tell that she was very busy in her life, but she took the time to make sure we were well taken care of. She even surprised us with some treats. There are bus stops within half a block and 2 grocery stores about 1/2-3/4 mile away. Uber and Lyft were quick. If you want some doggy time, her 3 dogs are super sweet. Our home is 13 miles from LAX & 17 miles away from Downtown LA. This is a 3 bedroom house & we are offering 2 rooms to guests. The household includes 2 people - a gay couple, 1 other airbnb guest & 2 very small dogs. You would have your own private room and share the bathroom with another airbnb guest. Amenities versus Price: We price our room rate very competitively compared to other listings in our area. Our place is best for budget travelers who just need a secure place to rest and are fine with basic amenities. If you are looking for upscale luxury accommodations, this is not the place for you.

If you have a phobia/fear of small dogs or just dislike dogs in general, please look for other accommodations.

If you don't like A LOT of houseplants, this place is not for you. Because there are A LOT of house plants next to the small bedroom. there aren't any house plants inside the small guest bedroom, but right outside it are A LOT of houseplants. Most people like or don't mind house plants, some guests just seem averse to them.

1) Guests that expect upper class accommodations and parking right beside our home even though they are only paying an average of $50 to $60 per night even though the local airbnbs and motels/hotels cost between $100 to $200 per night
2) Are relying on public transportation to get around LA unless they don't mind taking Uber/Lyft or are hardcore enthusiasts of public transportation
3) Want to spend a lot of time in Santa Monica, Hollywood and Downtown LA which is nowhere near where our home is located and only book the room because of the low price but then complain afterward that its not near Santa Monica, Hollywood or Downtown LA

Most people like or don't mind house plants, some guests just seem averse to them.

1) Those that are here to work in the local area for several days including Cal State Dominguez Hills, Harbor UCLA hospital, and the Long Beach and Torrance area.
2) Needs easy access to LAX of just has a lay-over and will catch their flight to LAX the following day

4) Grew up in the area and just need an affordable place to stay while visiting friends and family
5) Deciding if Los Angeles area is a place they want to reside in/relocate to
6) Just a quick visit to LA to catch a concert or sports game or conference
7) Arriving a day early before boarding their cruise ship in San Pedro

During your stay
I go to work around 7:30 AM and usually don't return home until 6 PM. Guests have until 11 AM to check out. After that, my spouse, Todd, will prepare the rooms so that the new guests can check in at 1 PM. The dogs will remain inside our master bedroom when both Todd and I are away from the home. There is no parking at the house. You will need to park it outside the complex on Main Street.

Other things to note

House Rules

TV - There is no TV in the room

Gate Opener – the gates the complex close between 7 PM and 7 AM every night. Do not lose the gate opener that we loan to you. The gate opener is $35 to replace if you lose it. Keys are $5 if you lose them.

Parking – You can only park your car overnight outside in Main Street. You may park it in the guest parking spots during the day, but from 7 PM to 7 AM, park your vehicle outside on Main Street or it will get towed.

Luggage/Suitcase – please do not put your luggage or suitcase on top of the bed.

Mini fridge – the mini fridge in your room is for you to use. Do not unplug it or set the setting on High. Do not use the refrigerator in the kitchen except to get water.

Microwave – You can use the microwave in the kitchen. You are not allowed to use the stove and oven for cooking.

Drinking Water – you can get a red cup beside the kitchen refrigerator and get water/ice from the kitchen refrigerator.

Laundry – the washer and dryer are not normally available to guests. If you really need to use them, its $5 per load to use the washer & dryer together.

Garbage – If you have a lot of trash, please don’t make it accumulate because it attracts pests and vermin. Leave it outside beside the base of the stairs in the carport. This way, we can throw it out in the dumpster.

Bed – Please do not eat or drink on the bed. When you check out, we wash all the sheets in between guests, so you do not have to make the bed look nice when you check out. There is no desk in the room to eat your meals, so we encourage you to eat at the kitchen island counter or dining room table instead.

Bathroom – once per day, we will clean the guest bathroom. If the bathroom is particularly filthy, let us know immediately, so we can clean it. Always leave the outer door of the bathroom OPEN when you are not using it so that the other guest is not guessing if you are using the bathroom.

Smoking – Absolutely no smoking allowed inside the house. If you need to smoke, we set up a chair with a black ashtray beside it in the carport.

Noise – Please try and keep sounds/noise to a bare minimum between the hours of 11 PM and 7 AM.

Emergency – If you need to reach me immediately, then call me (don’t text me). All my texts are on silent mode.

Very small room in a small house that features a big garden. The room is right next to the kitchen and it is separated by a sliding door. The laundry room is directly next to the room and accessible from the small room. Laundry Room can be also accessed from Garden. 8’x11’ room with closet. Room is located 15 feet from the front door. Bathroom is located outside the room about 10 feet away. Workspace desk (sit/stand desk), drawers, and rack to hang clothes. Towels and essential toiletries provided and weekly stays will receive free weekly turnover service.

The space
Tranquil getaway. Keyless entry. Comfy one bedroom & one bathroom with a kitchenette. Close to coffee shop, pizza shop, and fresh donuts. Just a five minute walk to an awesome breakfast joint called potholders. Eight minute drive from Long Beach airport. 15 minute drive to downtown Long Beach and carnival cruise port. Street parking in front of property. Bedroom has air conditioning. Full Bathroom with tub and shower shared with guests staying in the larger bedroom. Twin size bed in bedroom with desk/work spaces immediately outside of room. Cleaning service and turn over for multiple week reservations.

Note: TV not connecting to the Internet, but we provide two HDMI cables to connect your apple Iphone or computer device to the TV.

Guest access
Guest enter through the front door entrance by entering a personalized 4 digit code in the keypad. Guest have access to the kitchenette, the living room, and the shared bathroom. Closet and furniture can be used for storage of guest items.

During your stay
We will be glad to assist in providing information about local attractions and public transportation. We understand the challenges for international travelers when traveling aboard. The door near the kitchen remains shut throughout your stay and divides the hosts private space. Centrally located near all of the fun Long Beach has to offer. Close to many restaurants and gyms, two blocks from the Blue Line Metro rail and close to the 710/405, walking distance from the convention center, and in close proximity to the ocean. There are other guests in the house and I make sure the house stays clean and the atmosphere.
Not appropriate for double occupancy nor guests who don't have an occupation and plan to stay home 24/7. Positive host review required to book the room.

The space
The room has a queen size bed with a brand new mattress and 100% cotton sheets. There is a large closet where you can store your luggage and hang your clothes. Also the curtains are blackout so the daylight will not wake you up.

Guest access
Access to all the public spaces in the house. It is a large 4 bedrooms house.

During your stay
Guests will be left to their own devices but I am more than happy to engage in conversations and help when asked a question about the city.

Other things to note
The location is fantastic, right downtown Long Beach and walking distance to many places. That also means that the house is in a busy part of town, not a suburban set-up so take this into consideration when booking. Friday and Saturday night street parking can be a challenge as many people come to enjoy the many restaurants and clubs downtown. There are cheap ($5) public parking nearby if you don't want to look for parking.

Bedroom with a private keyless entrance. There is a queen size bed. I have a fridge and microwave in the closet. The Guest has access to both full bathrooms, living room, front yard and full use of kitchen. The best part of this airbnb is its location. People are very happy. Please read reviews, this is a very good price for this million dollar neighborhood.

The space
Bedroom, Wifi, TV and private keyless entry. Small fridge and access to kitchen. Block to canals, block to Alamitos Bay and Block to Long Beach Yacht Club. There is a bathroom right outside the room in a separate room.

Guest access
The bathroom is right outside the bedroom but it is not private.

During your stay
There is a private entrance to this room so the guests may come and go at will with keyless entry. I am the owner of the home and my son lives here also. Between the two of us someone is home most of the time. Just message me or txt me at 562-433-3777.

You can use the kitchen and there is a washer and dryer you can use. Go to Postmates app to get food delivery.
