Cons: The lighting throughout needs to be replaced because it still felt dark even with all the lights on, and there were no curtains on the door windows. You can see everything from outside. The description on Expedia listed a washer and dryer as an amenity, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. However, upon arrival and after contacting Expedia, a machine was not available on the property. A pack and play was featured in the photos, something we needed for our toddler, and it was confirmed that one would be provided for our stay. We asked when someone would be out to deliver it since it was already late in the day, and we were told not to worry - it would be handled in a timely manner so our stay would be comfortable. No one showed up to deliver the bed. The biggest issue was the garbage that was left in the front yard from the previous renters. A large trash bag with visible food discards just tossed to the side. We asked where we could dispose of it since we didn't want to attract animals, but were assured it would be promptly taken care of by the property. The bag was still there at checkout three days later - no one showed up the entire stay."

You can see in the photos no one had prepared the exterior of the property for guests in quite a while. One kitchen chair was missing the bolts that hold the pad down, and another had legs so loose it was not safe to sit in. That's half the chairs. There was a water disconnect notice in plain sight in the kitchen. The biggest problem was the broken hot water handle in the shower. As we all know, that's a 10 minute fix, but we found it in a broken state (pictured). It took the property manager 4 hours from the time we reported it at 8AM to complete the repair. The office never called us back and only spoke with us once assuring us someone would be there in an hour or less. It took 3 hours from then, and the office stopped answering our calls when we would try to get an update. The repairman said a handful of words, offered no apologies, and tracked dirt into the house before disappearing for another hour to get the new fixture, tracking more dirt into the house. Steer clear of any properties managed by DoorMat in Big Bear, unless that's how you like to be treated."

Despite these concerns, we were able to enjoy our stay after purchasing basic cleaning supplies and tidying up the space ourselves. Once refreshed, the cabin served as a pleasant and cozy retreat."

I was so saddened by this. We were really looking forward to staying and thought it was going to be this cute little cottage. It was not. I am unfortunately still waiting to hear back if anything can be done for a reimbursement. We were at the property for all of one hour. We could not stay. We did not feel comfortable. :( "

We do not get mail from USPS. Only private mail is delivered (UPS, Fed Ex, etc)

It snows in the winter so please be prepared (aka chains, full tank of gas, blanket for your car, flashlight in your vehicle, and water in case you get stranded on the side of the road, as others have).

Also, please keep quiet while in the unit. Everyone likes it quiet.

Enjoy the space and kitchen, but please do not attempt to cook "T-bone" steaks on the stove. The stove exhaust fan is not adequate enough to clear the grease and smoke that is created. If you plan to cook a lot, try a different place. The Host recommends McDonald's; no mess, fast and cheap.

Your parking space will accommodate a small SUV or midsize car. Large SUV's and full size trucks must park in the street. Please be conscious of how you park. There are 6 spots on the lot so make sure you have left room for the other cars. Pull all the way forward. Also park head in only.

Extra Beds: if you need the extra beds in the living room, please let the host know in advance. There are some cushions needed to complete the beds.

There is No Smoking on the property. Smoking is ok near the Street (Friendly Ln). You can be fined $250 for smoking on the property, so don't do it.

The space
Enjoy your stay right off the 138, one of the first plowed streets during winter, with driveway use. Shared use of fenced backyard. We have heaters all around the room, portable AC unit and fans for the summer. Fully stocked kitchen, (if you don’t see what you need, please reach out mostly likely I have what you need upstairs and will bring it down for you 😊). In case of emergency or power outage we do have flashlights, lanterns, battery operated lights, and a mini generator for your use. We are 5 minutes away from Lake Gregory. 2 minutes away from top town, 15 minutes from Lake Arrowhead, and 35-45 minutes away from Big Bear. We do have 2 inflatable options for extra guests if needed (queen and twin). If you would like it prepped for you stay please let us know. For your fur babies, please let me know what kind you’re bringing (dog, cat, etc) and if they’re allergic to anything. I do like leaving goodies out for them, but do not want to upset their tummies. We use eco friendly/pet friendly cleaning supplies.


We do have our birds, family of raccoons, squirrels, and the occasional neighborhood black cat who visits us from time to time. Please do not harm them in anyways. They are friendly and will leave you alone for the most part 😊

Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. the maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.

No amplified music 24/7 -

Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.

Head inside at 10:0 p.m. -

Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Take your furry friend with you -

Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog-friendly!

Take trash to dumpster locations -

Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite unless there are commercial trash bins at your property (condo).

Consequences -

Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and sever consequences.

Fines -

The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1,000 per violation.

Eviction -

Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued.

Other things to note
$300 security deposit due at check-in, and is only charged if items are lost, stolen, or damaged. Additional rules and regulations will be presented to the guest when the reservation is made. Must be 21 to check in.

Tucked into a residential neighborhood in Big Bear City just minutes to the Lake and resorts, you're invited to our newest property that has been thoughtfully renovated to be big on comfort and charm! This chalet style cabin has been remodeled from the ground up. Under the soaring windows, you'll find modern appliances, thoughtful conveniences, technology, and a private back patio with hot tub to make your stay in the mountains so inviting, you won't want to go home!

The space
Our cabin feels much more spacious than it is with the abundant light that pours into the main living area from the two massive A-frame windows on the front facade. Downstairs you will find the main living area with a TV, and infrared wall fireplace that flows into a modern and well equipped kitchen with everything you need including refrigerator, gas stove, full size microwave, food disposal, coffee maker, pots, pans and all the dishes for your stay. Outside the fully fenced back yard is great for dining or relaxing in the 4 person hot tub . The main bedroom has a king size bed and closet and the full bathroom features a tub/shower combo with rainfall shower head. No need to bring any bedding or towels, we also provide bed/bath linens and limited toiletries like shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, and a hair dryer. An open style loft is upstairs that also takes advantage of those large front windows. This is bedroom #2 and it includes a queen size bed, one twin bed, and walk in closet.

We love this location for it's rustic modern vibe and easy accessibility to all Big Bear Lake has to offer. Just a short walk away you will find Big Bear Snow Play recreation center and the location of Oktoberfest, Big Bear Lakes premier fall festival headquarters. By car, you are just minutes from Bear Mountain and Snow Summit Resorts, Big Bear Lake east boat launches and beaches, as well as numerous hiking trails.

Guest access
Our guests at Eagle's Nest have full access to the entire property and parking on the driveway for 2 vehicles. Easy check in provided via lock/box and agent who will meet you at the property or you can stop by the office a short distance away.

Cleaning Fee $125
Covers basic cleaning. Basic cleaning includes washing all linens, dusting and vacuuming, disinfecting, and cleaning bathrooms. Please remove all trash and place it in the bins outside the property. Excessive cleaning will be charged to the guest on a case by case basis.

The person making reservation who is listed on the Airbnb account must be present for the entire length of the reservation and must be an adult 25 years or older. No exceptions.

Check in is at 3pm. Check out is 11am. If utilizing the lock box at the property, please be aware that the codes are not active until 3pm on your reservation date and are invalid after 11am on your check out date. Keys must be replaced in the lock box before this to avoid being locked out.

Key replacement $50

Your privacy is important to us! There is a security camera which monitors the outside front entrance area of the property. There are no cameras or monitoring devices inside the cabin, it is 100% private.

Our general rule is to treat our home the same way you would like your home treated. We have put a lot of thought and work into making your time here both memorable and enjoyable and we hope you will come back often!
