There is a hill to drive up to get back to the highway that can be difficult in severe weather. 4WD with Chains is recommended during or immediately after a storm.

Located just a few minutes from local hotspots like Snow Valley Mountain, Snowdrift Tubing Park and the always delicious, Lou Eddies Pizza! The Cabin is just 20 minutes from Lake Arrowhead and 30 minutes from Big Bear Lake, you can't go wrong.

- "The drive to the cabin is beautiful. It's close to a small baseball park and small lake. that during snow season makes the best memories and picture ops.**The cabin is right next to another cabin, which provides lots of privacy. The inside is absolutely beautiful and looks really clean, smells a bit musty, not disgusting but I mention it because, even tho it looks really clean it doesn't smell "clean".** Its equiped with pots, pans, some baking ware, trash bags, dish soap, small selection of sauces and seasonings and kurig coffee and creamer. We took our own blankets, pillows and comforters but they offer all that and they do not look dingy or old. Its a two story house. the staircase is narrow and with a bit of a steep incline WHICH... I DO NOT RECOMMENT WITH TODDLERS. AT ALL!!! We did not have any accidents with our toddler but we could not rest and relax with our toddler just wanting to climb up the stairs and when we were upstairs we could not let her roam around because all she wanted to go down the stairs. ** The restrooms are clean, only the one upstairs has a shower so keep that in mind when its a large group. The TV's are older versions, that only have Fire stick, we had some difficulty viewing our shows and movies. The TV in one of the rooms we were not able to use because it was missing the wall plug for the fire stick. The post says you get two parkings BUT we only used the one straight in front of the cabin and its really, really small and at an angle. There is another parking but again WE noticed a sign that said Private Property this space is for such and such address, being the cabin next door. so as of today I say there is only ONE parking. Overall...We wouldnt stay here again ONLY because of the stair and toddler situation but ITS a GREAT cabin for a family with older kids or only adults. We had a cleanliness snaffu and the manager sent his cleaning crew to clean it up. I have to mention this because we found something in the closet that, definitely showed that the cleaning crew missed did not clean this area... I will not mention what we found, but IT ruined my stay. Im a CLEAN freak and I was very hesitant to take this trip as we do not do hotels and this snaffu did not make it easier. AGAIN, We checked everything with blue light and disinfected everything ourselves before and everything seemed clean aside from what we found. We also cleaned and disinfected everything upon exiting the cabin. HOPE THIS HELPS!"

It's hard to believe it's just a cabin, it feels large. We also really enjoyed the patio that was surrounded by trees. With a BBQ and fire pit is made for nice evenings of dining and relaxing. Everything was is great condition and well cared for. Additionally one of my biggest gripes about rentals properties are the beds, however we found the beds to be very comfortable. The host was quick to respond to any messages and was very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again in the future."

Our intimate living room and kitchen are cozy at every turn. Relax on our green velvet sofa, or take your pick among white armchairs and tufted leather benches. A huge picture window brings in an abundance of natural light. And French doors swing open to the deck, blurring the line between outdoors and in. As night falls, our wood-burning fireplace gives off a soft, romantic glow. Put on a movie or play a game from our collection – we have Uno, Scrabble, Cards Against Humanity and more. And yes! Fix yourself a cocktail at the bar cart (it’s BYO alcohol) as you settle in for another memorable evening.

The vaulted knotty pine ceiling in our living room extends over to the kitchen, creating an airiness in the heart of the house. On drizzly nights, you can even hear the pitter patter of the rain. The kitchen has its own soothing ambience with an iron chandelier, brass fixtures and elegant black cabinets. We love our dining table and wicker chairs that invite you to eat together, right in the kitchen. And when it comes to making delicious meals, you’ll have everything you need – from new cookware and dishware to a farmhouse sink and upscale appliances. What’s more, our coffee bar has your mornings covered: We’re happy to provide K-Cup pods and coffee grinds for the Keurig and coffee pot.

Our two bedrooms are just the place to get a good night’s sleep. Both rooms have king beds, nightstands with statement lamps, and more pine ceilings. In one bedroom, unwind on a tufted gray bed near a window. Or check email at our handsome desk. You’ll also enjoy nature artwork, a Persian-style rug and white bedding with throw pillows in here.

In the other bedroom, drift far away on a four poster canopy bed. You’ll find bedding and pillows in earthy shades of terracotta, cream and beige. Plus a comfy armchair. Watch your favorite shows on the smart TV and open the sliding glass doors for some fresh mountain air. We also provide an air mattress for a fifth guest.

The hallway bathroom has striking matte black fixtures, from the sink and mirror to the glass-enclosed shower. There’s also a soaking tub so you can relax your muscles after a day of adventuring. Leave the following toiletries at home as we provide them in a lavender-peppermint scent: Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body bar soap, lotion and hand/facial soap.

There are plenty of fun board games, puzzles etc to keep everyone entertained as well as a ping pong table, 4 arcades, basketball hoop game and corn hole the garage. Feel free to spin a few albums on the vinyl record player or make fresh popcorn. We provide complementary coffee, spices and much more. Smart TV's are throughout the house, just sign in with your Netflix, Hulu and you're all set.

Fire Place: Enjoy warmth, as a courtesy, firewood will be available for your use next to the fireplace along with a fire starter.
Please note that if additional firewood is needed, guest will need to purchase it on their own from a local store. There are several places just minutes away.

Due to high fire risk in the National Forrest, there is no wood burning allowed outside the cabin. The Fire Pit and BBQ Grill both use propane which we also provide.

Welcome to The Lightfoot Cabin as featured on Conde Nast Traveler, Dwell and Sunset Magazine.
We do kindly request no shoes inside. There is a small shoe bench right outside the door and indoor slippers inside waiting for you.
This keeps it cozy and clean for everyone to enjoy.
This is a tri-level split home.
Once you enter through the front door, you will go down some steps to get to the main open living space.
You have a full kitchen with all of the essentials.
There is a French press with ground coffee and tea packets for your morning pick me ups. The kettle is electric.
Please note that the fridge has a small freezer section and there is no dishwasher. The water gets hot really fast, so please be careful.

There is an inviting living room with daybed for your afternoon naps or sit in the swing chair for you to enjoy the view outside, the fireplace, or enjoy some music on the record player.
The unique, free-standing fireplace is gas for your safety and ease of use.
There are plenty of board games available for your enjoyment.
The sliding door opens up to a nice deck to sip your coffee or grill up your your next meal while you enjoy the view of pine and cedar trees. There are heat lamps when it gets chilly.

The dining table really takes you back to your cool grandma’s house with its white pedestal table and cantilever velvet and cane chairs. Here you can comfortably enjoy a nice meal.

Going up the stairs from the main entrance, you will be greeted with a king sized bed. There is also a leather lounge chair for you to enjoy a good book or a writing table with a typewriter for you to get inspired to write a book. There is also another small deck off the loft room.

No need to worry about power outages here! We have a whole home generator that will kick on as soon as it detects the power is off. No need to go outside or disrupt your stay, just continue to enjoy :)

Guests have access to the whole home.
There is a narrow driveway that can fit up to two cars. Please only park in the driveway and do not block our neighbors. There is a sloped hill on the left side of the driveway so take caution when arriving at night.

EV Charging
There is a 110V Outlet for standard charging. This is located on the tree trunk.
There is also a NEMA 14-50 outlet for faster charging on the deck rail. Try to charge your car after 9PM to avoid peak times of 4PM to 9PM.

Running Springs is a very quaint little town. It is rather quiet and calm, so this is great place to getaway from your normal hustle and bustle. If you are wanting a little more activities, we are close to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.

Getting around is best by car due to plenty of hills. There is parking for up to 2 vehicles on the driveway. Please note that there is a sloped hill on the left side when you get out so use caution when arriving at night.

7. During the winter, a four-wheeled drive car or chains may be necessary to get up to the home

This property requires a $250 security deposit hold. It will be collected separately by the property 2 days prior to check in.

Nestled perfectly between Lake Arrowhead and majestic Big Bear Lake, this historic A-Frame was the pioneering vision in the mid-50s of a local high school woodshop teacher who, with his family, laid each beam by hand. There are no kitchen privileges. We offer 2 bedrooms which are booked separately. One room has a private 1/2 bath with shared shower, two queen beds and a love seat. The other room has one queen bed and full bath. A queen hide-a-bed is available in the commons area. This home is perfect for skiers, hikers, shoppers, etc.
We are located one and three-fourths miles from town. 3-8 PM check in.

The space
We are 13 miles up from Highland. Snow Valley is a 10-minute drive and the slopes in Big Bear are about a half hour drive. There are several close restaurants in Running Springs and Arrow Bear. Lake Arrowhead is about 10 minutes and has several outlet shops and nice restaurants on the lake.

The cabin is a short drive away from Snow Valley and Big Bear ski resorts. Our cabin offers the warmth of all wood clad walls and high ceilings of a gambrel roof in the upper bedrooms. We care to make this place unique and peaceful. We do not accept more than 2 mid sized dogs at maximum.

Kitchen:
-help yourself to all equipment offered during your stay. The kitchen has a roomy fridge with water dispenser and ice machine.
Living room:
-feel comfy on the leather sofa or the 2 Room & Board chairs. The 55” TV screen is giving you a home cinema experience with Netflix movies at your choice. Or find a nice board game to play with the whole family in front of the wood burning fireplace.
Bathroom:
-the bathroom offers a bath and shower with a good water pressure.

Bedroom 1 (upstairs):

-this room offers you most privacy. You will enjoy the large balcony with a hammock and lounge seating to rest after your active day or you can start the day here with a coffee. An outside staircase leads down to the kitchen.
-we have yoga mats, additional blankets, a leg massager and the flat iron/ ironing board in this room.
NEW: you can listen to some jazz, classic music or Hawaiian tunes with the LP player. URGENT: in case either the LPs or the player get damaged we will charge a hefty fee. Please treat our property with care.
Laundry:
-please feel free to use the washing machine and dryer. Please inform me when you use the equipment since this is also a storage space.
Parking:
-during the winter month we will offer snow removal for the parking area. These costs will be partially included in the cleaning fee and will be free of charge to a certain percentage.
-in case you are intending to have the parking cleared of snow more than ones, we will charge an additional $40.

Pets are allowed on Level 1 only. Please be aware of the $30 pet fee. We would like you to supervise your dogs, making sure that there is no marking or other destruction of our property happening. Please don’t leave your dog alone to roam in our cabin. Thanks for your understanding.

We have a Peach tree by the entrance of the driveway . Apples, cherry, Plum and one other fruit tree at the back of the house. If in season, please enjoy them.

If you have noticed, there are button switches on the wall. They are from the 1920s. We love them and want to preserve them, so please refrain from playing with them.

Water in the natural Spring comes from the surrounding mountains. Water levels will rise or fall depending on season.

The cabin is lovingly adorned with several handmade wood pieces, including the bathroom sink cabinet, bathroom door and the decorative wall ladder in the living room.

The space
The bedroom includes a queen bed with memory foam mattress, and a small closet to unpack your belongings.

Cozy up in the living area and start up a fire. Or order a pizza from Neo’s and turn on one of the many streaming services. (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney Plus, etc.)

If you're feeling a bit competitive, move on over to the gaming area, turn on the retro Pac-Man arcade style game and select one of the six gaming options. There are also shelves, stocked with additional board/card games for your enjoyment. You can do all this while enjoying a vinyl in the record player.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with all of the essentials you need to cook a nice meal. Just bring your own food.

When you're ready for a nice soak, the hot tub will be hot and ready for you to unwind under the stars after an eventful day. Or just take a seat in the outside seating area and enjoy the serenity that the mountain provides.

The bathroom is also stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, bath towels, wash clothes, q-tips, first-aid kit, tampons, hair-ties and more.

The whole home is yours to privately enjoy. There are two parking spots directly outside of the home for you to use.
