Located just a few minutes from local hotspots like Snow Valley Mountain, Snowdrift Tubing Park and the always delicious, Lou Eddies Pizza! The Cabin is just 20 minutes from Lake Arrowhead and 30 minutes from Big Bear Lake, you can't go wrong.

- "The drive to the cabin is beautiful. It's close to a small baseball park and small lake. that during snow season makes the best memories and picture ops.**The cabin is right next to another cabin, which provides lots of privacy. The inside is absolutely beautiful and looks really clean, smells a bit musty, not disgusting but I mention it because, even tho it looks really clean it doesn't smell "clean".** Its equiped with pots, pans, some baking ware, trash bags, dish soap, small selection of sauces and seasonings and kurig coffee and creamer. We took our own blankets, pillows and comforters but they offer all that and they do not look dingy or old. Its a two story house. the staircase is narrow and with a bit of a steep incline WHICH... I DO NOT RECOMMENT WITH TODDLERS. AT ALL!!! We did not have any accidents with our toddler but we could not rest and relax with our toddler just wanting to climb up the stairs and when we were upstairs we could not let her roam around because all she wanted to go down the stairs. ** The restrooms are clean, only the one upstairs has a shower so keep that in mind when its a large group. The TV's are older versions, that only have Fire stick, we had some difficulty viewing our shows and movies. The TV in one of the rooms we were not able to use because it was missing the wall plug for the fire stick. The post says you get two parkings BUT we only used the one straight in front of the cabin and its really, really small and at an angle. There is another parking but again WE noticed a sign that said Private Property this space is for such and such address, being the cabin next door. so as of today I say there is only ONE parking. Overall...We wouldnt stay here again ONLY because of the stair and toddler situation but ITS a GREAT cabin for a family with older kids or only adults. We had a cleanliness snaffu and the manager sent his cleaning crew to clean it up. I have to mention this because we found something in the closet that, definitely showed that the cleaning crew missed did not clean this area... I will not mention what we found, but IT ruined my stay. Im a CLEAN freak and I was very hesitant to take this trip as we do not do hotels and this snaffu did not make it easier. AGAIN, We checked everything with blue light and disinfected everything ourselves before and everything seemed clean aside from what we found. We also cleaned and disinfected everything upon exiting the cabin. HOPE THIS HELPS!"

- "This cabin had the feel of a model home. Everything was decorated with a contemporary modern style but was comfortable and practical. The layout of the cabin is amazing. It's hard to believe it's just a cabin, it feels large. We also really enjoyed the patio that was surrounded by trees. With a BBQ and fire pit is made for nice evenings of dining and relaxing. Everything was is great condition and well cared for. Additionally one of my biggest gripes about rentals properties are the beds, however we found the beds to be very comfortable. The host was quick to respond to any messages and was very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again in the future."

Our cozy cabin from the 1960s has been renovated down to the studs. Not only does it feature a fresh look that is woodsy yet modern, but it’s centrally located to everything you’ll want to explore in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Gather on our deck for beers and conversation. Roast gooey s’mores beneath a sky of stars. And curl up on our velvet sofa as the fireplace glows before you.

RUNNING SPRINGS LOCATION
The Den is located in the mountain community of Running Springs, which is the best home base in the San Bernardino Mountains. Here, the mountain range is at your fingertips – from the alpine village of Lake Arrowhead (8 miles away) to Snow Valley Mountain Resort (6 miles away) where mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding and sledding abound. Nearby attractions also include: Lake Gregory, Heaps Peak Arboretum, Santa’s Village, and Snowdrift Snow Tubing Park. You can also head 17 miles east to Big Bear Lake.

In town, swing by LuLuBelles Coffee House & Bakery for their specialty coffees, small batch pastries and breakfast sandwich. And don’t miss the artisan pizzas and garlic knots at LouEddie’s Pizza. They’re that good.

DECK & YARD
Our wraparound deck welcomes you with outdoor living areas among towering pines. Sip coffee in a rocking chair, or start a new book as the breeze rustles through the trees. You can also grill up juicy steaks and veggie skewers after a day of mountain fun. The deck also has a seating area with cushioned furniture and a fire pit – perfect for the gorgeous sunsets and starry nights here on the mountain.

Please note: In spring 2023, we will add a patio and hot tub to our yard. Please reach out for the most up-to-date timing.

LIVING & KITCHEN AREAS
Our intimate living room and kitchen are cozy at every turn. Relax on our green velvet sofa, or take your pick among white armchairs and tufted leather benches. A huge picture window brings in an abundance of natural light. And French doors swing open to the deck, blurring the line between outdoors and in. As night falls, our wood-burning fireplace gives off a soft, romantic glow. Put on a movie or play a game from our collection – we have Uno, Scrabble, Cards Against Humanity and more. And yes! Fix yourself a cocktail at the bar cart (it’s BYO alcohol) as you settle in for another memorable evening.

The vaulted knotty pine ceiling in our living room extends over to the kitchen, creating an airiness in the heart of the house. On drizzly nights, you can even hear the pitter patter of the rain. The kitchen has its own soothing ambience with an iron chandelier, brass fixtures and elegant black cabinets. We love our dining table and wicker chairs that invite you to eat together, right in the kitchen. And when it comes to making delicious meals, you’ll have everything you need – from new cookware and dishware to a farmhouse sink and upscale appliances. What’s more, our coffee bar has your mornings covered: We’re happy to provide K-Cup pods and coffee grinds for the Keurig and coffee pot.

2 BEDROOMS & 1 BATHROOM
Our two bedrooms are just the place to get a good night’s sleep. Both rooms have king beds, nightstands with statement lamps, and more pine ceilings. In one bedroom, unwind on a tufted gray bed near a window. Or check email at our handsome desk. You’ll also enjoy nature artwork, a Persian-style rug and white bedding with throw pillows in here.

In the other bedroom, drift far away on a four poster canopy bed. You’ll find bedding and pillows in earthy shades of terracotta, cream and beige. Plus a comfy armchair. Watch your favorite shows on the smart TV and open the sliding glass doors for some fresh mountain air. We also provide an air mattress for a fifth guest.

The hallway bathroom has striking matte black fixtures, from the sink and mirror to the glass-enclosed shower. There’s also a soaking tub so you can relax your muscles after a day of adventuring. Leave the following toiletries at home as we provide them in a lavender-peppermint scent: Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body bar soap, lotion and hand/facial soap.

Fire Place: Enjoy warmth, as a courtesy, firewood will be available for your use next to the fireplace along with a fire starter.
Please note that if additional firewood is needed, guest will need to purchase it on their own from a local store. There are several places just minutes away.

Due to high fire risk in the National Forrest, there is no wood burning allowed outside the cabin. The Fire Pit and BBQ Grill both use propane which we also provide.

Sleeping arrangements.
Bedroom is down stair and it has a queen size bed. Upstairs is a good size loft with a queen bed with the view outside. Loft also has a futon to sit or sleep on. Couch in the living room can be pulled out to a queen size bed.

Cooking arrangement.
Fully stocked kitchen also comes with a nice air-fryer/toaster oven for your wonderful culinary creations. There is a whole set pots and pans, knives, magic bullet blender, waffle maker, spice rack, small kitchen tools like can opener, wine opener are all included in the house. Coffee supplies and filtered coffee maker in the kitchen as well.

Heating.
Gas fireplace has a remote control to turn on and off easily. This is for ambient only for your mountain getaway. There is a wall heater to heat up the whole house with the thermostat in the hallway.

Outdoor.
The gas grill is outside by the entry door. I provide propane tank for you to grill. There is a spare tank which should be full. If you ever replace to the spare one, please let me know so I can replace the empty tank for future guests.

Entertainment.
TV in the living room is a smart TV with multiple apps. I provide Netflix, Hulu and YouTube TV which has hundreds of cable channels. You will have plenty of options to watch your favorite show.
There is a smart speaker for music.
I also have a sound system which you can connect directly to your phone for your usual favorite music.

Entire house, main level and loft.

I am usually available via Airbnb platform. My reply rate has been less than an hour and I will try to keep things this way.

The cabin is located half-way between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead, perfectly called Arrowbear Lake. It is an unincorporated area with population about 700. With only a few hundred houses, you will find yourself in a secluded little town surrounded by tall pines. No immediate neighbors on the left and right side of the cabin.
4 miles to Snow Valley ski resort, 7.5 miles to Sky Park at Santa's village, 5 miles to Green Valley Lake, 10 miles to Lake Arrowhead and 15 miles to Big Bear Lake.

This place is a complete car dependent.

There is a small seasonal lake half mile away from the cabin.

- Fireplace is for ambient only. Please do not leave it on all day. There is a switch next to the fireplace. Do not turn off the pilot light.
- The wall heater will heat up the house. Thermostat is on the hall-way wall to control the wall heater.
- You don’t need the code to lock the door. Just press the button on top of the keypad to lock.
- Only 2 cars fit at the parking deck. There is no space for street parking and city will not allow it either.
- No party allowed.
- No extra guest allowed other than what is listed on the reservation. Exterior security camera will do the headcount.
- Mountain communities have limited ability for trash. Leave your trash in green bins on the parking deck. Each reservation gets one 32 gallon full bin to use. Trash gets picked up every Monday. If you have a lot of leftover food and you are checking out between Tuesday and Friday, please take the leftover food away with you. Bears are very active in the community and we don't want to attract them with your leftover food smell. Your help is greatly appreciated.

We do kindly request no shoes inside. There is a small shoe bench right outside the door and indoor slippers inside waiting for you.
This keeps it cozy and clean for everyone to enjoy.
This is a tri-level split home.
Once you enter through the front door, you will go down some steps to get to the main open living space.
You have a full kitchen with all of the essentials.
There is a French press with ground coffee and tea packets for your morning pick me ups. The kettle is electric.
Please note that the fridge has a small freezer section and there is no dishwasher. The water gets hot really fast, so please be careful.

There is an inviting living room with daybed for your afternoon naps or sit in the swing chair for you to enjoy the view outside, the fireplace, or enjoy some music on the record player.
The unique, free-standing fireplace is gas for your safety and ease of use.
There are plenty of board games available for your enjoyment.
The sliding door opens up to a nice deck to sip your coffee or grill up your your next meal while you enjoy the view of pine and cedar trees. There are heat lamps when it gets chilly.

The dining table really takes you back to your cool grandma’s house with its white pedestal table and cantilever velvet and cane chairs. Here you can comfortably enjoy a nice meal.

Going up the stairs from the main entrance, you will be greeted with a king sized bed. There is also a leather lounge chair for you to enjoy a good book or a writing table with a typewriter for you to get inspired to write a book. There is also another small deck off the loft room.

No need to worry about power outages here! We have a whole home generator that will kick on as soon as it detects the power is off. No need to go outside or disrupt your stay, just continue to enjoy :)

Guests have access to the whole home.
There is a narrow driveway that can fit up to two cars. Please only park in the driveway and do not block our neighbors. There is a sloped hill on the left side of the driveway so take caution when arriving at night.

EV Charging
There is a 110V Outlet for standard charging. This is located on the tree trunk.
There is also a NEMA 14-50 outlet for faster charging on the deck rail. Try to charge your car after 9PM to avoid peak times of 4PM to 9PM.

Running Springs is a very quaint little town. It is rather quiet and calm, so this is great place to getaway from your normal hustle and bustle. If you are wanting a little more activities, we are close to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.

Getting around is best by car due to plenty of hills. There is parking for up to 2 vehicles on the driveway. Please note that there is a sloped hill on the left side when you get out so use caution when arriving at night.

4. Please try to charge your electric vehicle after 9pm and do not use the car charger, AC/heater, and washer all at the same time

6. This is a quiet neighborhood, so please keep that in mind when playing music or hanging outside
7. During the winter, a four-wheeled drive car or chains may be necessary to get up to the home

Please do not access the lower level deck from the outside. Enter the hot tub from inside the house.

This property requires a $250 security deposit hold. It will be collected separately by the property 2 days prior to check in.
Guests are required to sign Rental Agreement.

ANY dogs brought without permission or that breaks any of these rules will result in a fee and dog/guests may be asked to leave the premises without refund and forfeiture of security deposit.

OPEN CONCEPT LIVING, KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM
The main level of the cabin is designed to give you space to be together. Choose to kick back on the sofa and soak up the coziness offered by having a real fireplace to ensure your comfort, and a smart 50-inch TV with Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max and Amazon Prime to keep you entertained.

Whoever’s preparing meals can do so in full view of everyone in the kitchen that shares the open living space. The kitchen has all the appliances you’ll need to prepare homestyle snacks and meals. (A coffee machine with coffee is also provided.) And you can enjoy them sitting at stools next to the countertop. Or you can serve up something more formal at the dining table, which offers great views outside over the natural landscape. Clear away the plates and you have space for family board games which are provided in the cabin, or space to work if that’s your reason for your visit. Whatever you choose to do, the living comes easy when you stay here.

2 BEDROOMS
All that fresh air you’ll get is sure to make you ready for bed each night, and both bedrooms feature beds with quality mattresses and bedding. The first has a queen bed, the second two twins. Both rooms have 32-inch TVs too, so everyone can choose what they want to watch in this cabin.

1.5 BATHROOMS
After exploring the great outdoors, there’s a bathtub and shower to freshen up in when you get back. Take your pick and know that your hosts will provide quality towels for you to use so you don’t have to pack any.

OUTSIDE
Staying in this part of California gives you so much to do outside. Your deck at the back of the cabin has more seating on which you can settle back and relax, maybe to start/finish that book you’ve always meant to.
Whether you’re planning to hike, cycle, ski, snowboard or fish during your stay, there’s plenty of storage space in the secure shed for whatever equipment you need to bring.

There’s parking for 2 vehicles right outside, so you won’t have far to carry your bags to get into the cabin when you arrive.

Your hosts are delighted to make their cabin exclusively available to groups of up to 4 guests. Only a locked linen cabinet in the cabin is not accessible. There is a 10' x 8' lockable shed that offers up plenty of storage space for skis, bikes, fishing gear and other equipment.

Should you require assistance or need questions answering during your stay, your hosts will be available via the Airbnb messaging system.

****Winter Bookings****
There is a hill to drive up to get back to the highway that can be difficult in severe weather. 4WD with chains is recommended during or immediately after a storm. It is also possible that our driveway will only be able to accommodate 1 car after a heavy storm. Check with us if you will have 2 cars.

****Summer Bookings****
We do not have air conditioning at the cabin (as is the case with most cabins in the area). Most of the summer it is not needed, but it can get warm inside on hot days. We provide fans and it almost always cools off at night.

There are two sets of stairs from the driveway to the front door. You will access the house via keyless entry. The access code will be sent to you before your check-in.

◆◆WINTER GUESTS◆◆ "Snake Run," "Show Me," "The Ladder" and my driveway all have something in common: They're all steep!

While 4-wheel drive is not required, it is recommended. I will have the driveway cleared of snow at check-in time, but please be aware of the weather and plan your arrival accordingly. I cannot keep water from freezing in cold temperatures and the Double Diamond driveway becomes increasingly difficult to summit on ice.

My cabin is centrally located within the San Bernardino National Forest. Snuggled right in-between San Bernardino and Big Bear, you're within a half hour's drive to all the fun that both towns have to offer. And just minutes from Snow Valley, Green Valley Lake, Santa's Village, Children's Forest, Keller Peak, Lake Arrowhead, and more!

From the bright and airy vaulted ceilings, to the brand new furnishings throughout, The Eisley Cabin will deliver the 5-star accommodations you are looking for.

Escape to the crisp mountain air. Relax with a good book, binge your favorite show, and sip a drink out on the patio under the pine trees.

The space
Upon walking in through the front double doors, you will be greeted with an open living room, plenty of comfortable furnishings, and a convenient coat rack to unload all of your belongings. Easily switch on the gas fireplace for warmth and a cozy ambiance.

The newly remodeled bathroom is located on the first floor at the bottom of the stairs.

The kitchen is also located on the first floor, and is equipped with all the essentials for cooking and serving meals. Our cleaning and disinfectant products stored in the kitchen are safe and natural, and don't contain any toxic chemicals. The dining area is located in the kitchen.

Upstairs you will find an open, split loft. On one side is the bedroom area with a queen bed, and on the other is the loft area with a twin daybed. Pull out one side of the daybed to double its size. The bedroom is part of the loft, therefore it is beautifully open to the rest of the cabin and does not include a bedroom door.

The back deck is fitted with chairs, a table with benches, and a BBQ.

You will have the cabin all to yourself. There is level parking right out front of the cabin. We have a keyless front entry, and an access code will be sent to you before check in.

2 Guest Max: Our cabin is perfectly designed for 1-2 people, which is why we only accommodate reservations for 2 or less.

No Pets: We unfortunately do not allow pets. We apologize as we understand that pets are family members, and that this can cause an inconvenience.

Smoking: All smoking is prohibited on the premises. This includes all types of smoking.

Kids: The cabin is not 100% kid friendly. Some examples of this are the stairs, the fireplace, and no outside gates around the property. There is also no child proofing throughout the cabin.

Halfway between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake, Arrowbear is a serene hamlet in the mountains. This is a quiet neighborhood, not a tourist trap. You can walk from the cabin to hiking trails, a diner, and a park with playground. A short drive will get you to lake activities, local shops, and restaurants. Very close to Snow Valley Ski Area.

Parking is available on site. Personal car is recommended to get around the mountain, although there is a Mountain Transit bus stop near the cabin.

If you come up in winter, please be prepared with tire chains and/or four wheel drive, and be sure to check weather conditions before you depart.

Welcome to Grandpa's Cabin!

Grandpa's Cabin is in the heart of Running Springs, just 10 minutes to Snow Valley, 20 minutes to Lake Arrowhead and 40 minutes to Big Bear. Enjoy mountain living just minutes from hiking and dining.

Our grandfather built this cabin in Running Springs as a family retreat in the 1950s. He sold it in the 1970's, but when it went up for sale in 2023, four of his grandchildren purchased it and brought it back into the family. Now we'd like to share it with you.

The space
Grandpa's Cabin is a quaint and cozy escape. The property features a large living room, galley-style kitchen, a roomy and comfortable bedroom, a large deck, and plenty of room to enjoy a little slice of life on the mountain.

The cabin's living room includes a fireplace, two couches (one with a pull-out bed), a dining table, large windows looking out into the forest, and high-speed internet access to keep you connected. There's also a small library, board games and a television with streaming options for when it's time to relax.

The cabin has one bathroom, accessible from the bedroom. Guests sleeping in the living room will need to go through the bedroom to access the bathroom.

The kitchen includes pots, pans, dishes, glasses and cooking utensils, and is stocked with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, salt, pepper, and snacks. You can bring groceries from home or shop at several stores within a 5-minute drive.

Outside is a large wooden deck, with plenty of room for birdwatching, stargazing, and just relaxing under the trees. There's also a picnic table and barbeque grill, children's toys and games, and a horseshoe pit.

Guest access
The entire cabin (except for a small storage loft), deck, and yard is included with your rental. There is parking available for two cars.

Other things to note
Grandpa's cabin is located in the San Bernardino mountains at an elevation of 6,000 feet, so driving conditions in the winter can be hazardous and you may need snow chains. The county will plow the streets leading to the main road, but snow may block your car in during your visit. In the case of snow we will do our best to have the driveway cleared before you arrive. We also provide shovels and salt, as well as contact information for local snow plow companies. Note that from November 1st to April 30th all cars are required to carry chains in their vehicle.

We will provide enough firewood and kindling for a cozy fire each night of your stay. If you'd like to have a fire burning longer or more frequently while you're staying with us, you're welcome to bring some of your own supplies. You can also purchase supplies at Running Springs Fine Foods or Rusty Hammer Hardware, both a 5-minute drive away on Hilltop Blvd.

The cabin's main entrance faces the water tower adjacent to the property. You'll be able to use the door leading to the deck during your stay.

Pests are a part of the mountains ecosystem. Although we take careful measures to clean and sanitize the cabin after each guests' stay, we cannot guarantee this is a pest free cabin- as these creatures may find their way in through open doors.

Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.
