Upon entering the service entrance on the lowest level of this three story Bavarian style home, the long counter and full-sized washer/dryer, absorbs the days wear. Upstairs, floor to ceiling windows let nature pour in to this 3-level, 2000 sq ft home with designer furnishings. Grab the remote or throw on a fire log, as the C-sectional sofa places the Swedish fireplace and TV w/ hi-speed internet in view of every seat, including the country style dining table, which is just off the fully-equipped kitchen with custom concrete counters. - "love it" - "My extended family had a wonderful time over a weekend in mid Feb. We used the pool table (felt is in good condition & level) and large TV in the downstairs game room several times. Kitchen is well stocked with tools for any meal, including the deck grill. Bedrooms are large with comfortable beds & pillows. Wifi is fast enough and reliable, even with several devices connected. The external fireplace is a nice touch for heating & ambiance, however only premade firelogs are allowed. The heater works well throughout the whole house. There are lots of windows on the main floor to view the front & side. We happened to be there for a large snowstorm which was fascinating to watch. The front downstairs door is locked by keypad so no key necessary...very useful for multiple people. Location is very convenient. This was our first trip to Wrightwood and we were pleasantly surprised at how close the house is to the town. There's a pizza place two doors down and a brewery just around the corner. Everything's in walking distance. Tips: - Main level shower pressure is very low so add some time to your shower. - If you're there in the winter, be prepared to shovel the driveway exit if it snows (shovel provided). They apparently use a service to clear the driveway but timing is variable. - They have a coffee pot but no Keurig. There was half a bag of coffee but not sure if this was from the previous renter. Bring your own ground coffee. A very fun experience for the whole family!"

- "Great location. Cozy, clean place" - "We had a wonderful stay at Peaceful Pines. The cabin is warm and comfortable, clean and welcoming. The property is nicely furnished, well supplied, the perfect place for a quiet getaway. Our hosts kept in touch and were available for anything we might need (although we did not need anything that was not already there). Wrightwood is a quiet and friendly mountain community. Everywhere we went the people were friendly and helpful. My only caution about the property is that this may not be the best place for seniors with mobility or balance issues. The front steps and the shower/tub could present some challenges. With that understanding this is a warm and comfy place for a winter getaway. We will have to come back and try it out in the summer!"

The Moonlight Retreat is an 850 square foot property originally built in 1932 which has been lovingly restored and redecorated by the homeowner. Cozy on up next to the wood burning fireplace underneath the wood vaulted ceilings and enjoy the magical atmosphere that only the mountains can provide. The cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen for all of your cooking needs, a beautiful open concept bedroom, a closed-off bedroom, and a full bathroom.

The best part about this cabin is the large charming outdoor space. The entire property opens to an expansive side & front yard that provides great space for enjoying the mountain air. The back yard features an outdoor dining bistro set for 2 and a Jacuzzi.

Bedroom 2: Full bed; the head and foot of the bed are walls, so please note this room is better suited for children or shorter individuals

Ideally suited and priced for two guests. We can accommodate up to four, but there is an additional $25 per person per night.

Kitchen: Two small sized refrigerators with small freezer compartments, gas range, gas oven, microwave, Keurig pod & drip coffee maker. Fully stocked with utensils, crock pot, cookware, and dishware. Our tap water is good for drinking, cooking, and everything else.

Dining Room: Located next to stairs in the main living room. Small sized table ideal for 2-4 guests.

Parties or loud activity will not be tolerated and will be subject to $1000 noise violation plus additional fines issued by San Bernardino County and termination of your stay.

The Location

The lodge is located one block from downtown Wrightwood and 4 miles from Mountain High Resort. The downtown area offers great eateries and entertainment, including local shops, a brewery, live music on select days, and a farmers market every Friday.

There is an abundance of gorgeous hiking trails perfect for either a quick stroll and a picnic, or more strenuous hikes to epic vistas overlooking the surrounding Angeles National Forest. For travelers looking to explore local Southern California the property is located only an hour and a half from the famous Southern California beaches. Where else can you ski and surf in the same day?!

Please do not press any other buttons, as that will disable to system.
Keep the ceiling fans on low to move the hot air down from the ceiling for circulation throughout the cabin.

SNOW ETIQUETTE:
Chain control: 4x4 and All Wheel Drive vehicles must have mud and snow or snow tires and carry chains for access in snowy weather.

Parking and trespassing violations: Many locations on the mountain are private property and violators trespassing onto private property may be cited or arrested.

Trash: the public is reminded to take out what they bring in, including trash. Please if you pack it in, pack it out!

Weather hazards: Snow and rain increase hazardous driving conditions, so please exercise additional care when driving on slippery or iced over roadways.

- "Stayed there with my college-age daughter for a few nights and we both just loved it. Pictures are accurate - the decor and ambience is unique, cozy and beautifully done. Loved using the hot tub at night (even in August, it cooled down enough to get in!), having coffee and wine on the front deck area, and walking into town for dinner and the Friday Farmer's Market. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and apricots and other nice touches. Neighborhood was quiet, and I took a lot of walks. We also enjoyed the views at Inspiration Point, and ziplining. A great stay, and would love to come back again! Very memorable stay with my daughter."

Pet Policy

Aery Pines is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $50 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

50% of the pet fee is donated to a local animal rescue: Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary.

Everything in the village is walk-able. Only one block from town to grab coffee, a bite to eat, or do some shopping to support the locals. A 5 minute drive to Mountain High Resort for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, disk golf, etc.

Our neighborhood is quiet, and mostly inhabited by locals. We welcome guests who want to experience Wrightwood like a local, including respecting quiet hours, parking and respect of wildlife and nature.

Please note:
> We have two portable air conditioning units (placed in the living room and upstairs master room) for the summer months. We recommend opening windows at night and closing them in the morning to retain cool air throughout the day.
> Our home is across the street from our small elementary school in town. If you are visiting during normal school days/hours you will hear kids playing & the school bell ringing. There is also a small skate park down the road where you may hear skateboarding.
> This is a quad level home with 4 different staircases. Stairs must be used to enter home and access bedrooms.

SNOW ETIQUETTE:
Chain control: 4x4 and All Wheel Drive vehicles must have mud and snow or snow tires and carry chains for access in snowy weather.

Parking and trespassing violations: Many locations on the mountain are private property and violators trespassing onto private property may be cited or arrested.

Trash: the public is reminded to take out what they bring in, including trash. Please if you pack it in, pack it out!

Weather hazards: Snow and rain increase hazardous driving conditions, so please exercise additional care when driving on slippery or iced over roadways.

LOCATION: Our cabin is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, and half a mile from the village. Enjoy a lovely walk to breakfast, or to grab coffee.

PET POLICY: Blue Jay Hideaway is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $50 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

Guests will have full access to the cabin, other than a few locked cabinets.

Quiet neighborhood close to the village with great mountain views.

Everything in the village is walk-able. Only a few blocks from town to grab coffee, a bite to eat, or do some shopping to support the locals. A 4 minute drive to Mountain High for skiing and snowboarding.

We`re happy to share local tips and advice about our mountain. If you have any questions during your stay, we are one text or phone call away.

We can occasionally offer early check-in or late check-out, depending on the reservation ahead of and after your stay. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out just let us know. Late checkout runs about $20 per hour.

- "Wish our 5-day stay could have been longer in this cozy, super clean, kid friendly cabin! We even had snow… in May! My grandsons had so much fun and the three-year-old cried when we were packing up to go home. He did not want to leave! They played Corn Hole every day and not only was there a trunk full of games that we all enjoyed, there was a basket of toys for our dog to enjoy as well. Loved the other little thoughtful touches such as packaged toothbrush kits for the boys and roasting sticks for the fire pit. You are bound to get a unique rustic cabin experience. Perfect for a small town getaway trip. Ideally for 2-4 people.
During the day you may hear a variety of local birds. At night you may hear the coyotes howling or owls across the canyon.
The entire upstairs is open and spacious.
The downstairs kitchen and living room is accommodating with comfy couches and chairs and a wood-burning fireplace. The game room has a pool and ping pong table, dartboard and many games, weights, yoga mats and overlooks the High Desert giving it a unique look especially at night.
The porch has hammocks and ** Hot Tub ** (extra fee) and chairs for lounging.

Bathrooms:
- You will have access to the 1.5 bathrooms here. The shower is in the upstairs bathroom and the downstairs bathroom is a Jack-and-Jill style with the second door leading to the game room! There is also an outdoor shower!

Game Room:
- The game room has a ping pong and pool table. We also have a dartboard and many board games.

Kitchen:
- The kitchen is fully stocked! Just check the drawers and chances are the item exists where you think it should be.

** Hot Tub **:
-** THERE IS AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR HOT TUB USE DURING YOUR STAY - Minimum fee of $50 for a 1-day stay which covers the cleaning, electricity, chemicals, water changes, extra towels and robes.
Other things to note
- This is NOT a party cabin. Please be mindful.

- This is a lightly weather beaten rustic cabin in the desert mountains. We have refurbished quite a bit around the place. There may be a bit of dust or dirt around but that's just the nature of the desert mountains in a cabin!

- Note that there are two motion detection security cameras on the garage facing the driveway and on the front of the cabin facing the road coming in. These overlook and monitor the driveway and parking area only and are motion capture.

- Please be mindful of your speed limit when driving along the dirt roads and overall neighborhood! The last 1/2 mile (Desert Front) road can be bumpy in addition to being steep and narrow in the last leg of your journey to the top of the ridge and cabin! All cars can handle, it just drive slow.
WINTER MOUNTAIN ROADS DISCLAIMER:
For winter and being 1 mile elevation snow can occur. Snow accumulations happend a few times a year on average. In the absolutely worst road conditions during winter time, the local roads may require snow tires. In fact, some of the local roads won't let you on unless you have 4x4 vehicle AND snow chains, but this is rare and usually following a snow storm. Please check the weather and check with us before arriving for conditions if need be.

- Please consider bringing out any recyclables, trash, & food waste you bring in. We do NOT have local garbage services here. If you are unable to transport out what you brought in, please use our recycling and garbage cans that are clearly labeled.

- "For me, it is the perfect place to stay. Its location is on a ridgeline, which makes for an incredible and (at times) breathtaking drive to the cabin. Once you arrive, the cabin itself is one treasure discovery after another. I can't speak highly enough about the space. I visited in July, so it was a little warm during peak daytime, but that's just more incentive to sit on the patio or in one of the two hammocks. I got to meet a couple of distant relatives of some birds I see in my backyard, which was pretty remarkable as well. The cabin is situated for maximum comfort and relaxation. There's a hot tub, a massage chair, pool table, many games, hot tub, darts, and the aforementioned hammocks. This place checked all the boxes for me and the host was such a nice guy who genuinely cared about our experience. 10 out of 10 and I haven't even talked about the views from up there! The sunrises are phenomenal and the sunsets are really great, too."

Knotty By Nature is a labor of love for the Davis family. It was once owned by grandpa and bought by his daughter, Kathie, to keep in the family. During 2023, it was completely remodeled. Everything grandpa was `going to do` got done. Kathie kept his dream alive. She even repurposed the old loft banister into planks and built new open-shelving for the kitchen. Imagine the charm of 1960s A-frame windows meeting a farmhouse style with urban/industrial flare. It`s all new - everything - a must visit!

Complimentary Coffee Bar: Would you prefer coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or to bring your own beans? We have a grinder, Keurig, French press, kettle, and coffee pot. Top with a cinnamon stick, honey, licorice, or marshmallows. Grab popcorn and a cozy blanket to curl up and watch your favorite movie.

Dining Room: Located next to the kitchen. The dining room table seats up to 10 comfortably.

Living Room: Three sofas to cozy up on while enjoying a fire and TV show/movie on the large smart TV.

Fireplace: We have a very quirky fireplace that can result in smoke damage easily. For that reason, there is only an electric insert for guest use.

Fire Pit: There is an outdoor propane fire pit to enjoy and roast those marshmallows on!

Back Yard: The Angeles National Forest is our backyard. Please note, the yard is NOT fully fenced in.

PARKING: There are two driveways on the property. One is a long gradual uphill driveway to the garage (15-30% grade). Note: garage is NOT accessible to guests. The second is a semi-circle around the huge front oak tree (5-10% grade). If over 4` of snow, the driveways and berm will be plowed for your stay. We will leave a snow plow shovel if you want to partake in some winter exercise. Otherwise, the eaves cover enough walkway to access the front door. Guests are welcome to park in the driveway during their stay. Please note that the garage will not be available for use.

ACCESSIBILITY:
There are stairs up to the deck in front of the house but you can access the interior by just 2 steps from the back door. Host can set up ramp if requested prior to stay. The driveway will take you most of the way there (all cement). The first-floor bathroom shower is tiled and has level sliding glass doors. Flooring is luxury vinyl planks with exception to rugs that can be rolled out of the way.

Pet Policy

Knotty by Nature is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $75 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

A portion of the pet fee is donated to a local animal rescue: Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary.

The Location

The home is located 0.6 miles from downtown Wrightwood and 4.5 miles from Mountain High Resort. The downtown area provides great eateries and entertainment including local shops, a brewery, live music on select days, and a local farmer`s market every Friday.

There is an abundance of gorgeous hiking trails perfect for either a quick stroll and a picnic, or more strenuous hikes to epic vistas overlooking the surrounding Angeles National Forest. We also have mountain biking and disc golf as local activities. For travelers looking to explore local Southern California the property is located only an hour and a half from well known beaches. Where else can you ski and surf in the same day?

During the winter months, weather can be unpredictable and we strongly advise you to purchase travel insurance. You can do this when booking on your platform. If there are last minute road closures (accidents, weather, fire, etc.), car trouble/chains, family emergencies or other, you will not be reimbursed.

The space
The Historic SnowCrest Lodge and Cabins are located on 5 acres of Alpine Mountain setting at 6000' elevation. Property roads are dirt and gravel. Cabins are stone and wooden shingles with modern updates.
We are located near popular hiking spots and when there is snow and nice sledding spot is across the way. Close by are other opportunities for skiing and tubing.
