Upstairs, floor to ceiling windows let nature pour in to this 3-level, 2000 sq ft home with designer furnishings. Grab the remote or throw on a fire log, as the C-sectional sofa places the Swedish fireplace and TV w/ hi-speed internet in view of every seat, including the country style dining table, which is just off the fully-equipped kitchen with custom concrete counters. - "love it" - "My extended family had a wonderful time over a weekend in mid Feb. We used the pool table (felt is in good condition & level) and large TV in the downstairs game room several times. Kitchen is well stocked with tools for any meal, including the deck grill. Bedrooms are large with comfortable beds & pillows. Wifi is fast enough and reliable, even with several devices connected. The external fireplace is a nice touch for heating & ambiance, however only premade firelogs are allowed. The heater works well throughout the whole house. There are lots of windows on the main floor to view the front & side. We happened to be there for a large snowstorm which was fascinating to watch. The front downstairs door is locked by keypad so no key necessary...very useful for multiple people. Location is very convenient. This was our first trip to Wrightwood and we were pleasantly surprised at how close the house is to the town. There's a pizza place two doors down and a brewery just around the corner. Everything's in walking distance. Tips: - Main level shower pressure is very low so add some time to your shower. - If you're there in the winter, be prepared to shovel the driveway exit if it snows (shovel provided). They apparently use a service to clear the driveway but timing is variable. - They have a coffee pot but no Keurig. There was half a bag of coffee but not sure if this was from the previous renter. Bring your own ground coffee. A very fun experience for the whole family!"

- "Great location. Cozy, clean place" - "We had a wonderful stay at Peaceful Pines. The cabin is warm and comfortable, clean and welcoming. The property is nicely furnished, well supplied, the perfect place for a quiet getaway. Our hosts kept in touch and were available for anything we might need (although we did not need anything that was not already there). Wrightwood is a quiet and friendly mountain community. Everywhere we went the people were friendly and helpful. My only caution about the property is that this may not be the best place for seniors with mobility or balance issues. The front steps and the shower/tub could present some challenges. With that understanding this is a warm and comfy place for a winter getaway. We will have to come back and try it out in the summer!"

The Moonlight Retreat is an 850 square foot property originally built in 1932 which has been lovingly restored and redecorated by the homeowner. Cozy on up next to the wood burning fireplace underneath the wood vaulted ceilings and enjoy the magical atmosphere that only the mountains can provide. The cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen for all of your cooking needs, a beautiful open concept bedroom, a closed-off bedroom, and a full bathroom.

The best part about this cabin is the large charming outdoor space. The entire property opens to an expansive side & front yard that provides great space for enjoying the mountain air. The back yard features an outdoor dining bistro set for 2 and a Jacuzzi.

Bedroom 2: Full bed; the head and foot of the bed are walls, so please note this room is better suited for children or shorter individuals

Ideally suited and priced for two guests. We can accommodate up to four, but there is an additional $25 per person per night.

Kitchen: Two small sized refrigerators with small freezer compartments, gas range, gas oven, microwave, Keurig pod & drip coffee maker. Fully stocked with utensils, crock pot, cookware, and dishware. Our tap water is good for drinking, cooking, and everything else.

Dining Room: Located next to stairs in the main living room. Small sized table ideal for 2-4 guests.

The Moonlight Retreat is located in a small residential neighborhood with close by neighbors. Due to the terrain of the neighborhood, sound is easily carried. Parties or loud activity will not be tolerated and will be subject to $1000 noise violation plus additional fines issued by San Bernardino County and termination of your stay.

The lodge is located one block from downtown Wrightwood and 4 miles from Mountain High Resort. The downtown area offers great eateries and entertainment, including local shops, a brewery, live music on select days, and a farmers market every Friday.

There is an abundance of gorgeous hiking trails perfect for either a quick stroll and a picnic, or more strenuous hikes to epic vistas overlooking the surrounding Angeles National Forest. For travelers looking to explore local Southern California the property is located only an hour and a half from the famous Southern California beaches. Where else can you ski and surf in the same day?!

Keep the ceiling fans on low to move the hot air down from the ceiling for circulation throughout the cabin.

SNOW ETIQUETTE:
Chain control: 4x4 and All Wheel Drive vehicles must have mud and snow or snow tires and carry chains for access in snowy weather.

Parking and trespassing violations: Many locations on the mountain are private property and violators trespassing onto private property may be cited or arrested.

Trash: the public is reminded to take out what they bring in, including trash. Please if you pack it in, pack it out!

Weather hazards: Snow and rain increase hazardous driving conditions, so please exercise additional care when driving on slippery or iced over roadways.

- "Stayed there with my college-age daughter for a few nights and we both just loved it. Pictures are accurate - the decor and ambience is unique, cozy and beautifully done. Loved using the hot tub at night (even in August, it cooled down enough to get in!), having coffee and wine on the front deck area, and walking into town for dinner and the Friday Farmer's Market. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and apricots and other nice touches. Neighborhood was quiet, and I took a lot of walks. We also enjoyed the views at Inspiration Point, and ziplining. Pet Policy

Aery Pines is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $50 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

50% of the pet fee is donated to a local animal rescue: Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary.

Everything in the village is walk-able. Only one block from town to grab coffee, a bite to eat, or do some shopping to support the locals. A 5 minute drive to Mountain High Resort for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, disk golf, etc.

Our neighborhood is quiet, and mostly inhabited by locals. We welcome guests who want to experience Wrightwood like a local, including respecting quiet hours, parking and respect of wildlife and nature.

Please note:
> We have two portable air conditioning units (placed in the living room and upstairs master room) for the summer months. We recommend opening windows at night and closing them in the morning to retain cool air throughout the day.
> Our home is across the street from our small elementary school in town. If you are visiting during normal school days/hours you will hear kids playing & the school bell ringing. There is also a small skate park down the road where you may hear skateboarding.
> This is a quad level home with 4 different staircases. Stairs must be used to enter home and access bedrooms.

SNOW ETIQUETTE:
Chain control: 4x4 and All Wheel Drive vehicles must have mud and snow or snow tires and carry chains for access in snowy weather.

Parking and trespassing violations: Many locations on the mountain are private property and violators trespassing onto private property may be cited or arrested.

Trash: the public is reminded to take out what they bring in, including trash. Please if you pack it in, pack it out!

Weather hazards: Snow and rain increase hazardous driving conditions, so please exercise additional care when driving on slippery or iced over roadways.

Blue Jay Hideaway is the perfect escape to the mountains with all of the everyday comforts of a home.

LOCATION: Our cabin is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, and half a mile from the village. Enjoy a lovely walk to breakfast, or to grab coffee.

BACKYARD BUILDING: We are still working on making our backyard fully kid friendly, however please do not let the kiddos into the future playhouse.

PET POLICY: Blue Jay Hideaway is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $50 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

Guests will have full access to the cabin, other than a few locked cabinets.

Quiet neighborhood close to the village with great mountain views.

Everything in the village is walk-able. Only a few blocks from town to grab coffee, a bite to eat, or do some shopping to support the locals. A 4 minute drive to Mountain High for skiing and snowboarding.

We`re happy to share local tips and advice about our mountain. If you have any questions during your stay, we are one text or phone call away.

We can occasionally offer early check-in or late check-out, depending on the reservation ahead of and after your stay. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out just let us know. Late checkout runs about $20 per hour.

- "Wish our 5-day stay could have been longer in this cozy, super clean, kid friendly cabin! We even had snow… in May! My grandsons had so much fun and the three-year-old cried when we were packing up to go home. He did not want to leave! They played Corn Hole every day and not only was there a trunk full of games that we all enjoyed, there was a basket of toys for our dog to enjoy as well. Loved the other little thoughtful touches such as packaged toothbrush kits for the boys and roasting sticks for the fire pit. > NO UNDERAGE DRINKING. Any outdoor vulgar language or drunk/stoned/drug activity will be cause for termination of stay and a $500 fine.
> The person who reserved the home must be staying and assumes full responsibility. Only the amount of guests contracted for are allowed in the cabin at any time. The cabin has exterior video cameras. Unregistered guests or pets are charged $1000 per person/pet per night (county fine amount). If you have additional guests (up to 3 persons total in house) just add them to the reservation prior to your stay. Four guests are included in the reservation price but must be registered.

Knotty By Nature is a labor of love for the Davis family. It was once owned by grandpa and bought by his daughter, Kathie, to keep in the family. During 2023, it was completely remodeled. Everything grandpa was `going to do` got done. Kathie kept his dream alive. She even repurposed the old loft banister into planks and built new open-shelving for the kitchen. Imagine the charm of 1960s A-frame windows meeting a farmhouse style with urban/industrial flare. It`s all new - everything - a must visit!

Dining Room: Located next to the kitchen. The dining room table seats up to 10 comfortably.

Living Room: Three sofas to cozy up on while enjoying a fire and TV show/movie on the large smart TV.

Fireplace: We have a very quirky fireplace that can result in smoke damage easily. For that reason, there is only an electric insert for guest use.

Fire Pit: There is an outdoor propane fire pit to enjoy and roast those marshmallows on!

Back Yard: The Angeles National Forest is our backyard. Please note, the yard is NOT fully fenced in.

PARKING: There are two driveways on the property. One is a long gradual uphill driveway to the garage (15-30% grade). Note: garage is NOT accessible to guests. The second is a semi-circle around the huge front oak tree (5-10% grade). If over 4` of snow, the driveways and berm will be plowed for your stay. We will leave a snow plow shovel if you want to partake in some winter exercise. Otherwise, the eaves cover enough walkway to access the front door. Guests are welcome to park in the driveway during their stay. Please note that the garage will not be available for use.

ACCESSIBILITY:
There are stairs up to the deck in front of the house but you can access the interior by just 2 steps from the back door. Host can set up ramp if requested prior to stay. The driveway will take you most of the way there (all cement). The first-floor bathroom shower is tiled and has level sliding glass doors. Flooring is luxury vinyl planks with exception to rugs that can be rolled out of the way.

Pet Policy

Knotty by Nature is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $75 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

A portion of the pet fee is donated to a local animal rescue: Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary.

The Location

The home is located 0.6 miles from downtown Wrightwood and 4.5 miles from Mountain High Resort. The downtown area provides great eateries and entertainment including local shops, a brewery, live music on select days, and a local farmer`s market every Friday.

There is an abundance of gorgeous hiking trails perfect for either a quick stroll and a picnic, or more strenuous hikes to epic vistas overlooking the surrounding Angeles National Forest. We also have mountain biking and disc golf as local activities. For travelers looking to explore local Southern California the property is located only an hour and a half from well known beaches. Where else can you ski and surf in the same day?

During the winter months, weather can be unpredictable and we strongly advise you to purchase travel insurance. You can do this when booking on your platform. If there are last minute road closures (accidents, weather, fire, etc.), car trouble/chains, family emergencies or other, you will not be reimbursed.

When visiting a mountain town, it`s important to be aware that you may encounter various types of insects and bugs due to the natural environment. No refunds will be issued, though we make every effort to manage pest control.

NOT A PARTY CABIN!

The space
We are very proud of the RUSTIC RETREAT... being 90 years old, it is a relative youngster compared to so many century old cabins in town. We try to remind our guests that these older cabins, although filled with charm, do show their age in many ways. If tentative guests are used to central air conditioning, very strong water pressure, and cookie cutter layouts, we would likely not be a good fit. This cabin is for those looking to take a nostalgic step back in time.

This 90 year old cabin boasts stained glass windows, antique "snooker" (think mini-billiards) table, an old wind up phonograph, live-edge 100 year old pine tree counters, porch swing, rock fire-place, and so many more rustic artifacts. Some of the nuances are accordion bathroom doors, and upstairs loft like bedrooms (one has a folding wood door, the other, a curtain door) and a rather tight wooden staircase to bedrooms. If you are taller than 6'3" you will not be able to stand straight in the upstairs bedrooms or bathroom. We do supply towels and all the beds will have fresh sheets & blankets on them. We have forced air heat and a portable A/C unit for the summer. If you look through all the pictures you will see photos of us renovating the cabin this past few years...it was like a huge Pinterest project!!!

Guest access
There are 10 steps up to the main floor and upstairs where you will be staying. You have the front, side and back porch and fenced in back-yard. The basement/garage is not available to guests, but might be accessed by owners during your stay. It has a separate entrance and guests will be notified before it is accessed (very rarely!).

As a teacher, I appreciate complete sentences and also appreciate guests taking the time to be informed. Grab a cup of coffee and read on.
Greetings! Welcome to our little piece of paradise at 6000 feet. We hope you have a relaxing and wonderful stay at The RUSTIC RETREAT.
FYI: the altitude may make you more tired than usual and the air is extremely dry. Drink lots of water to avoid “altitude headache” and dry mouth. Water, chewing gum, and lip balm (Vaseline for the nose and lips at night) will be your best friends! The non-readers are going to have headaches!
This is a NON-SMOKING CABIN: If you smoke outside, you MUST dispose of your butts! We are in an extremely high fire danger area and cigarette butts are a fire danger as well as being unsightly. If there is any evidence of smoking inside the cabin there will be a $400 fine as well. Please respect the house rules and appreciate that most of our guests are looking for clean mountain air and fresh smelling cabins. Please do not book with us if this is a problem.
LODGE TEMPERATURE: We have beautiful summer weather in Wrightwood. The best way to maintain comfortable conditions is to open windows at night and close them in the morning. Even though there is air conditioning, please do not run it at night or turn it lower than 74 degrees (you will risk loosing power to the whole home!). Open windows....it's a lot cooler outside (most of the time) than the AC can make it! Thanks so much and enjoy our fresh and clean mountain air! If you are use to central air, this may not be the place for you.
BATHROOMS: A half bathroom (just toilet and sink) downstairs, with another three-quarter bathroom upstairs (no tub just shower). There are extra supplies under the sink; hair dryer, lotions.... Please limit shower time as the hot water heater does not replenish very quickly and because of the extreme water restrictions we’ve been given. After seven minutes the water will get rather chilly (the non-readers are in for a surprise!) Turn the handle to 4 o’clock for a hot shower. Do not flush toilets while shower is running. Please do not flush any feminine products, hand wipes, paper towels or diaper wipes & be conservative w/toilet paper in both bathrooms.. Any plumber fees incurred for the plug up by these items will be removed from your security deposit. The wall heater must be turned off when not in use and do NOT hang any towels in front of the wall heater.
KITCHEN: There is a traditional coffee maker and filters, and full sized appliances as well as dishes, glasses, silverware, cookware… Please do not put waste down the garbage disposal. We have a septic tank and it is far too hard on the system. We are under extreme water restrictions, so if you would like to help out by washing your dishes above the big black pot under the dish cabinet and then throwing the water onto the saplings in the back yard or any other plants, the plants and I would thank you! We have a container next to the sink for compost. When full, put it on the front porch and text me & I will empty it in our large compost container & return it to you.
TRASH: There is a trash can AND a blue recycling can in the kitchen. They can be emptied into the APPROPRIATE roll outs by the garage. CRV cans/bottles can be placed in the blue can for pick up. Many do not recycle at home; it is required here!
UPSTAIRS LOFT BEDROOMS: The carpeted bedroom to the left has a queen bed. The bedroom on the right has two double beds and also is carpeted; this bedroom does not have a door, but a curtain. All beds have built in reading lights behind the beds. Please supervise your children if they are young, the staircase is narrow and all wood.
GREAT ROOM: We have a Smart TV 50” flatscreen. Volume control is on the side of the remote. The wooden cabinet has a variety of vintage toys and games. There is a tiny old TV with a built in VCR in the somewhat hidden cabinet under the peninsula by the back door. I have lots of videos…welcome to the ‘80’s! The TV is not plugged in…you need to pull it out and put it where you would like. The stairs going downstairs are not to be used as the door is locked to our storage area.
LIVING ROOM: the dining table is in this room as well as a sofa in front of the fireplace. There is a flatscreen TV with DVD player…not a Smart TV…only plays DVD’s.
LINENS: for all three beds are provided
WATER: Wrightwood tap water is under high pressure and full of bubbles. The bubbles will disappear within a minute and you’ll have crystal clear water. I love Wrightwood water and think you will too! Again, you want to be drinking copious amounts of water; please don’t make me say, “I told you so!”
FIREPLACE: Please do not light a fire if you are not familiar with how to; always keep the screen up! We supply one Duraflame log per winter night (starting mid-December). If you know how to build a fire and want to add a log NEVER add more than one piece of wood to the Duraflame. NEVER LEAVE THE CABIN IF YOU HAVE A LIVE FIRE. We have an ash bucket on the rock deck for cold ashes.
FRONT DECK: Firepit: In a nutshell, turn upper dial to 9 o’clock and then depress the button below the dial. If it clicks but does not ignite, you likely need to make sure the gas on the tank is turned on. NEVER LEAVE IT UNATTENDED
PHONOGRAPH:: We have a 100 year old hand crank “talking machine.” There are detailed instructions in the phonograph. Please do not let children handle the phonograph.

The space
Before booking, please take note of the following:

1. Two bedroom, one bathroom cabin with an additional updated queen sofa bed. Cozy fireplace & Kitchen.

2. Not acoustically sound between rooms

3. Open Layout

4. Pet friendly (XL Doggie door provided to the fully fenced-in backyard)

5. This cabin is 99 years old, it is a family home (not a hotel) in the mountains. There is dirt, bugs, pollen and wildlife.

6. Parking for maximum of 2 vehicles only

7. Contact us ASAP if anything comes up with the house if it is an urgent matter or if you have a genuine question or concern.

This renovated vintage cabin home definitely comes with quirks but is fully designed for function and purpose. We welcome guests who value simplicity & the experience of the mountain environment.

Portable A/C & fans for spring & summer months, Fiber Optic Wifi, 65” Smart TV, Netflix, Disney +, Hulu, ESPN + & more. Two outdoor decks and a small fully fenced back yard with cozy mountain vibes. Pet guests have outdoor access via the X-large dog door on the backyard door.

Other things to note
Check in is after 3pm & check out is 11am due to the extensive cleaning protocols. Early or late check outs must be communicated and approved by the host at least one day prior to checking in. Any late check out that is not approved will result in an extra charge (we do not like doing this) please just communicate your needs in advance, we try our best to accommodate.

This home is near the highway. There are times when you may hear traffic driving by, the town is so very quiet otherwise. We offer a sound machine if needed.

Pets: We are a pet-friendly home, however, we ask that you clean up after your pet outside. Please do not allow the pet on the couch or beds. $35 per pet, standard pet fee per stay.
$50 fine if dog poop is not cleaned up by pet owner at check out. (Poop bags are available outside)

During winter months:
At certain times, snow chains will be required. Snow removal at the home will be discussed privately if needed during your stay.

We take great pride in the Lodge and other properties we manage. We had the ramp built so it is wheelchair friendly. We provide a clean, relaxing, beautifully decorated lodge for respectful guests and their supervised children and well-trained fur-pals. We are on a very quiet block and welcome laughter and good times, but we also respect that our neighbors are not on vacation. Evening noise after 9pm on weekdays or 10pm on weekends is not acceptable.

Greetings! Welcome to our little piece of paradise at 6000 feet. We hope you have a relaxing and wonderful stay at the Mountain Pines Lodge
FYI: the altitude may make you more tired than usual and the air is extremely dry. Drink lots of water to avoid “altitude headache” and dry mouth. Keep a glass of water by the bed as well as lip-balm.

LODGE TEMPERATURE: Summer: Open windows around 5 pm and close them in the morning. The downstairs bedroom is the coolest place in the house as it is partially subterranean. The back deck is also the cooler of the two decks during the day. We have a portable AC unit that works well.
KITCHEN: There is NO GARBAGE DISPOSAL. We are on septic and it’s too hard on the system. Please do not put any grease or other food product down the sink. We have a compost container next to the coffee maker and a composter out in the front yard (no dairy or meat products). It takes a while for sink water to get hot; rather than waste all that water down the sink, please let it run into the pot and water the plants outside. There is a coffee maker and filters, a toaster and blender in the cabinet to the right of the refrigerator and a built in microwave oven. Trash & Recycling MUST be separated; we get fined $50 if the trash company finds trash in recycling or visa versa! CRV containers may be put in the additional bin by the roll outs. Those benefit the local elementary school.
BATHROOMS: There are two full bathrooms, one off the Master bedroom (pull shower handle towards you to turn on water...it might be stiff) the other in the hallway. In Wrightwood we all have septic tanks so we must be mindful of what gets flushed; do not use more TP than necessary and do not flush any feminine products, hand wipes, paper towels, hair or diaper wipes. Any plumber fees incurred for the plug up by these items will be removed from your security deposit. Please remember to limit shower times to less than seven minutes. Even though we have a newer water heater, there is a limit to the amount of hot water!
MASTER BEDROOM: The king bed is made with fresh linens. There are fun cabin themed pj’s in the dresser. If you use any, please leave them out on the bed to be washed. In closet you will find a shower chair and raised toilet seat.
SECONDARY BEDROOM: There is a queen bed in here as well as a large closet with a pack ‘n play, Bumbo, high chair and a crib mattress. If you use the Pack and Play, please do not fold it up or put it away. Leave it out so it can be sanitized before the next guests’ use. Please turn down a corner of the comforter of each USED bed so it is obvious it was used.
DORMER: The downstairs bedroom is partially subterranean and naturally stays cooler than the rest of the house. No matter how high you set the house thermostat, it won’t warm up as much as the rest of the house. We have plenty of extra blankets…this room is a favorite in the summer!
LINENS: PLEASE SLEEP BETWEEN THE SHEETS, not between the top sheet and comforter. Pull back the bedspread and sheets of any used beds so it is obvious that the bed was used.
WATER: Wrightwood tap water is under high pressure and full of bubbles. The bubbles will disappear within a minute and you’ll have crystal clear water. I love the mineral rich Wrightwood water and think you will too! Again, you want to be drinking copious amounts of water; please don’t make me say, “I told you so!”
YARD: The yard is fenced in for medium and large dogs. Our 20 pound dog could squeeze through the front fence until he fattened up to 27 pounds. If your dog is a digger, please supervise and please clean up any “gifts.” If you have any old skis (any kind, any age, any shape) you would like to donate towards the ongoing “ski wall” project, please bring them up and leave them on the front deck…better than going to a landfill and you will be able to see them in a place of honor.
BBQ: We supply a gas barbecue, please do not move it from its platform in the yard. Please clean grill after use
FIRE PIT: May only be used when it is 100% adult supervised. Do not have the fire on high. Please text me if you run out of propane. NEVER leave it unattended; we WILL get reported!
POWER SHORTAGE SUPPLIES: In the event of a power shortage, there are supplies in a basket above the refrigerator as well as battery backup nightlights.

The Location

The home is located less than a block away from the village, 4 miles to Mountain High Resort, and a scenic 6 mile drive to the scenic Inspiration Point. The village provides great eateries and entertainment including local shops, brewery, live music on select days, and a local farmer's market every Friday.

There is an abundance of gorgeous hiking trails perfect for either a quick stroll and a picnic, or more strenuous hikes to epic vistas overlooking the surrounding Angeles National Forest. For travelers looking to explore local Southern California the property is located only an hour and a half from well known beaches. Where else can you ski and surf in the same day?

Our guests will be able to access the whole cabin and yard. The detached garage is locked and is not accessible to guests. If we need to use it during your stay, we will let you know ahead of time.

Other things to note
SUMMER: we have a window AC unit in the twin bedroom and ceiling fans in bedrooms and living room. Even on the hottest days, the cabin stays comfy if windows are opened in the evening to let the cool air in and closed in the morning to keep the cool air in. If you are used to central air under 75 degrees, this cabin is probably not for you in the summer.
WINTER: Wall heater is in the hallway. The temperature control is a green dial behind a pull down panel at the bottom of the hallway heater. We will have it set at 1 which should be very comfortable. If you need it warmer, turn green dial higher. Do not touch black dial (this is for the pilot). If the pilot goes out, you will shut down the heater completely. If you are used to central heat, want it warmer than 75 degrees inside, and want to run around in shorts when there is a blizzard outside, this cabin is probably not for you in the winter.

BATHROOM: There is one full bathroom. In Wrightwood we all have septic tanks so we must be mindful of what gets flushed; do not use more TP than necessary and do not flush any feminine products, hand wipes, paper towels, hair or diaper wipes. We know lots of folks don't separate their trash because they don't have the containers at home. Well, we do and care for our environment. If this is not your style, this cabin may not be a good choice for you.
COMPOST: We have a compost container on the kitchen counter. The Earth and I thank you for contributing your fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds and filters, paper napkins, egg shells and all food product except dairy or meat. If it fills up during your stay you may dump it in the composter next to the trash cans.
MASTER BEDROOM: The king bed is made with fresh linens.
2ND BEDROOM: There are 2 twin beds in here as well as a small closet w/baby supplies (Pack and Play, high chair, play mat, Bumbo). Please turn down a corner of the comforter on the bed if it was used.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, especially during the winter months, to cover any unexpected travel disruptions.

Please note there is one bathroom in the cabin.

Our vintage cabin is centrally located in Wrightwood. Perfect for the family, friend vacation or romantic getaway. Built in 1974 but remodeled in 2022, modified A-frame Grambrel retains all the vintage architecture + character but with a modernized look. All new beds and luxury bedding.

Guest access
The entire space is included in this rental, except for 2 outdoor storage units. Please, make yourself at home.

Please park right in front of the cabin or in the driveway.

No Large Parties Allowed:
Large parties are prohibited. Our cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood and noise (even in small amounts) is amplified very easily around. Please be respectful of your noise levels while out on our decks, especially after 10pm and early morning.

No ATVs or Dirt Bikes:
Dirt bikes or ATVs are not allowed to be used on our private roads. Near our cabin are tons of great ATV trails, let us know and we can help guide you where to go!

Pet-friendly:
We do allow you to bring your very well-behaved dog. There is a pet fee and you will incur an extra cleaning fee if any accidents happen. We ask that the pet is crated when you are not in the cabin. Also, we do not have a fence surrounding the cabin so your pet must always be on a leash outside.

Service Animals:
Please let us know before you visit that you will be bringing an ADA-approved service dog.

Parking:
We have room for 5 cars, 2 that can fit in our driveway, and the rest can be parked in the front of the cabin. Spring/Summer months the driveway is fine to use. In Winter months, depending on ice and snow, the downhill driveway could be tough to get out of if you do not have chains. You must not block the street and are subject to a fine if you do. During the Winter months, we also have a private gate to our home that will need a passcode to enter. We will supply after booking.

Chains:
If you book a stay between November - May you should anticipate winter road conditions and the possibility of needing cables/chains to travel to Wrightwood. Please check road conditions and weather forecasts before driving up.

Property Boundaries:
In our neighborhood, there are no fences. We love that this gives an open feel and provides beautiful views; however, it is good to remember that not all the land you see is our property. Our front and back yard are yours to enjoy, but please stay out of neighboring properties — especially after it snows.

Security Cameras:
We have 1 security camera + floodlight located on the side of our house as well as 1 Ring Doorbell camera at our main door. We respect our guest's privacy. Cameras are not monitored and are there for security purposes.

Plumbing:
Due to its location, the cabin is on a septic system. Please use only provided toilet paper or septic-safe tissue, and do not flush anything else in the toilet even if it says "flushable".

Age Requirement:
Must be 21 years old to rent The Wrightwood Cabin.

Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, our property manager is only minutes away.

There are games and puzzles throughout the home to help create fun memories. There is a full kitchen, a washer and dryer as well as a walk in shower and a bathtub.

The living room, kitchen and dining room are a nice open floor plan. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking appliances and tools to make and serve meals. The living room offers a large smart tv and has a small gaming table. The spacious main bedroom has smart tv as well as a desk if a work station is necessary that looks out into the backyard.

This is a two-bedroom A-frame cabin on the main level front of the property with spacious, private fenced side yard is entirely for guests. Property manager lives on separate lower/back area of the property. No Access is provided to the separate, lower level area. Again, the back yard and North side yard that is North of the house (to the right as you are facing the front door) is for property manager and is off- limits to guests. Guests have access to the fully fenced back deck and fully fenced North side yard as well as front yard.

The space
Our beautiful and cozy cabin is nestled in a quiet corner of Wrightwood. It is a spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a large yard. All 3 bedrooms and 1 bath are located upstairs. The cabin sleeps 8 guests comfortably, and has the following sleeping arrangements:

and 2 rollaway Twin Beds

Downstairs you will enjoy a fully stocked kitchen and homey living room with a large U-shaped leather sofa and two reading nook chairs, lots of comfy throw blankets and pillows to relax and unwind with during your stay. We have a great selection of family-friendly games to choose from, a large projector screen with Roku to watch your favorite shows or movies, and a fireplace to lounge near at the end of your day.

Outside you will find a large wrap around deck that leads to our hot tub, propane BBQ, propane firepit, picnic tables and Game Room. The Game Room is located behind the fire pit seating area inside the shed.

How-To Guide: Here on some helpful tips to make the most out of your stay!

Projector Screen:

Projector screen can be rolled up or down using the remote control. The censor can be found on the top left corner of the screen. Please note, the remote needs to be close to the fireplace and pointed directly up toward the censor in order to move up or down.

To turn on the projector, simply Power On the Projector first, then the Roku with their designated remote controls. Ensure that the Input is set to 'HDMI'. If having issues connecting, a simple troubleshoot is to reset the system by unplugging both USB cables located behind the projector and wait 30 seconds to reconnect and reboot.

Fireplace:

We try our best to leave a few starter logs and a lighter right by the fireplace. Here are some helpful tips to get a fire going:

Before Lighting the Fire:
Ensure the flue is open. The flue (metal rod located on the left side of fireplace) needs to be open before you start the fire. This allows smoke to escape up the chimney and gives proper oxygen flow to feed the fire (fire will not start without enough O2).

Use only burn dry, seasoned firewood. Avoid using wet, green, or painted wood as it may not burn well and could release harmful chemicals.

Lighting the Fire:
Arrange the kindling and logs: Place small pieces of kindling (dry twigs or small branches) in the center of the fireplace. Arrange logs around the kindling in a crisscross fashion for better airflow. Use a match or fire starter to light the kindling. Once it catches, gradually add more logs to the fire.

Maintaining the Fire:
Add logs as needed: Once the fire is burning well, you can add logs one at a time to keep it going. Make sure to place them carefully to allow air to circulate.

Never leave the fire unattended: Always monitor the fire when it is burning and never leave it unattended. Keep flammable objects away from the fireplace.

After the Fire:
Let the fire burn out completely: Once you're ready to put the fire out, let it burn down fully and naturally. Ensure the fire has died before you leave the room or go to bed.

To Dispose of ashes properly: Once the ashes have cooled completely, carefully dispose of them in the designated metal container and shovel.

There is a fire extinguisher nearby for emergencies. Located in the kitchen, to the right of the sliding door entrance.

Carbon Monoxide
If at any time you smell smoke inside the house or feel the air is heavy, immediately extinguish the fire, open the windows or call for assistance.

Relaxing cabin in Wrightwood. Great place to visit, get away and take a breathe of fresh air. Quiet and family friendly environment for everyone to enjoy. Very spacious house with a chimney in the living room, front and backyard. Very close to the village and close to Mountain High. You can take hikes around and admire nature and during the winter time enjoy the snowfall. The great thing about Wrightwood is that it is beautiful all year around and enjoyable for whenever you need a getaway.

The space
The living room is spacious with plenty of room for all the family and easy access to the balcony with a great sight of the forest. The kitchen/dining room has enough room for all the family to enjoy a meal together. There is a downstairs room perfect for young children, it can easily fit 3 kids , as well, there is a half bathroom. The second floor has the master bedroom with its own bathroom and its own balcony with a beautiful view of the forest. There is another room perfect for two people. Lastly, there is an additional bathroom in the hallway of the second floor.

There is enough parking for 4 cars in the driveway. Or 2 cars and an RV.

Peaceful and charming cabin in the center of the village of Wrightwood. Enjoy the mountain views, wood burning fireplace, DEEP soaking tub, private back deck and large yard. 1188sq ft of pure relaxation with one of the larger lots in the village entirely fenced for snow play for the kids. Whether you enjoy staying in or going out, the perfect get away. Enjoy skiing, ziplines, tubing and hiking. This is the easiest mountain drive in Southern California - you won't be disappointed!

The space
Our cabin is located on a large lot that runs from a front street to a back street in the back yard. There are not any neighbors right behind you so that opens up the back deck to views of the surrounding mountains. We are also a short 5 block walk to restaurants and bars.

You will be transported to another world within a short 2 hour drive (and less at off peak drive times) from L.A. or San Diego. There are not any twisty, winding, foggy roads like travelling to Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, or Idyllwild. There are many hiking trails with access to the Pacific Crest Trail, nearby parks and lakes for exploring. The mountain trails will not disappoint with spectacular views with easy access for all levels of hikers.

No Parties Allowed:
Parties are strictly prohibited under the County of San Bernardino rules for short term rentals in the mountain areas. Our cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood and noise (even in small amounts) is amplified very easily around. Please be respectful of your noise levels while out on our decks, especially after 10pm and early morning.

No Animals:
We love animals, but we do not permit animals at our cabin. Guests who violate this rule will be fined.

Service Animals:
Service dogs are allowed. We appreciate guests using a service dog to let us know before you visit that you will be bringing an ADA approved service dog. Out house is not usually set up for animals and we want to make sure you have what you need.

Parking:
We have room for 2 or 3 cars to park in the driveway in front of the garage. It is a very short driveway, so it is easy to get in and out of. In a large snow event, we provide a shovel if you need to dig out.

Chains:
If you book a stay between November - May you should anticipate winter road conditions and the possibility of needing cables/chains to travel to Wrightwood. Please check road conditions and weather forecasts before driving up.

Property Boundaries:
Our front, side and back yards are yours to enjoy, but please stay out of neighboring properties — especially after it snows. There is a small slope outside of our backyard fence that your kids can slide down (it is still our property about 20 feet outside of the fence. The only other people you should see there might our neighbor's grandkids who visit occasionally.

Security Cameras:
We do not have any security cameras anywhere on our property to respect your total privacy when staying in our cabin.

HVAC:
We do not currently have AC, but have a new central heat furnace that is going to keep you cozy and warm during the cold winter nights. We have ceiling fans for the top 2 bedrooms in addition to a portable fan. On warmer days, you can open the windows, turn on the fans and get a nice breeze going throughout the house.

Plumbing:
Due to its location the cabin is on a septic system. Please use only provided toilet paper or septic safe tissue, and do not flush anything else in the toilet even if it says "flushable".

Age Requirement:
Must be 21 years old to rent The Wrightwood Cabin.

Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP.

You will have access to the entire cabin and yard, but you will not have access to the garage.

******The basic essentials, including coffee, are only provided for your arrival. You will need to make a quick trip to the store 4 blocks away to buy paper products, trash bags, shampoo, soap for the laundry, etc. if you are staying longer than a few days.

Pet Policy

Aery Pines is pet friendly for 2 pets maximum. We ask guests to pay a $50 pet cleaning fee at reservation. Any additional pets will be considered for an additional $25/pet. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests MUST notify us prior to their arrival if they are bringing a pet & the breed/size.

50% of the pet fee is donated to a local animal rescue: Beazy Farms Animal Sanctuary.

The space
The Pine Overlook’s design was inspired by the beauty of this area. This modern mountain home is full of various woods, metal and stones that create a balance to the space.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms:
Each bedroom offers a little piece of our favorite spots around Wrightwood. There is one bedroom on the first floor and the remaining bedrooms are on the second floor. All beds offer the highly rated Zinus memory foam pressure reducing mattress. They are a good balance of firm yet a soft fit around the body. If you need extra sheets, they are located in the bedroom closets. The half bathroom is located on the first floor and the 2 full bathrooms are located on the second floor. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash will be found in the full bathrooms. Soap and lotion available in all bathrooms. Hot tub towels are located in the half bathroom downstairs.

The main bedroom is located at the end of the hall on the second floor. This king suite offers a full bathroom, along with a full-length mirror and smart tv.

The second bedroom is located on the main floor and offers a queen size bed, full length mirror, and a smart tv.

The third bedroom is located at the top of the stairs to the right and offers a queen size bed, desk for workers, and beautiful mountain views for inspiration.

Our last room is also located upstairs and offers a full-size day bed perfect for a great night of sleep or an afternoon nap.

Kitchen & Living:
You enter the home in the dining room with the living room on the left and the kitchen to the right.

The updated kitchen includes an all-new fridge with filtered water, gas range stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of items that any cook in the group should be able to whip up a delicious meal.

The dining room sits right in the middle of the living space with a table and 6 chairs. (Extra folding table and chairs located in boardgame closet.) The coffee/tea bar is also located in the dining room. Here you will find a Keurig, French press, water boiler, and all the fixings to make that perfect cup to start your day.

The cozy living room offers the chance for entertainment or relaxation. Put on a record from our broad collection, sit back on one of the couches and enjoy a nice fire in our woodburning stove. If you’re in the mood for a movie we have a 55-inch ROKU TV, Netflix included, with surround sound.

Laundry room is located upstairs next to the main bathroom. Extra towels and washcloths will be located here along with a fan, broom, iron and ironing board.

Outdoor Space:
Just off the living room is a deck with breathtaking mountain views. Two loveseats and a chair surround a propane fire pit. Top place to stargaze on a clear night.

Off of the kitchen you’ll find another deck with a propane grill. Step down from the deck and unwind in our hot tub. Perfect for your muscles after a full day at Mountain High.

Beautiful pine cabin nestled in the trees. Bright and cozy with that mountain cabin feel and mountain views. Enjoy the tree house vibes from the family room while sitting by the fire or enjoying your morning coffee listening to the birds outside on the large front deck. Only a two minute walk to the local brewery, museum, park, and all the great restaurants and local hotspots. 10 minutes from Mt High ski resort. Enjoy hiking, biking, disc golf, and zipline tours. Or just relax in the summer time

You will be surrounded by fresh mountain air and large trees. Only few blocks away from village, bars, restaurants, and 3 miles to Mountain High, skiing, and hiking trails. Winters here are magical, what else can you ask for?!? Come on down , kick off your shoes and relax!
