Winter Travel Advisory:

For snowy conditions, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended. CHP may require tire chains to travel the mountain. While the county regularly plows the roads, timing can vary. We will clear snow so you can park and enter the house, but you may need to remove snow from your vehicle or stairs during your stay. A snow shovel will be provided, and caution is advised in these areas. If you prefer a company to remove snow during your stay, we can provide contacts which you can arrange and pay for.

Electricity Notice:

Power outages can occur in the mountains, especially during extreme weather conditions. To ensure your comfort and safety, our cabin is equipped with an automatic backup generator that activates as needed. This generator will keep essential items like lights, electronics, and the refrigerator running smoothly. Please note that the washer and dryer may not function while the generator is in use during a power outage. Thank you for your understanding!

Wildlife Notice:

Please be aware that while you enjoy the beauty of nature in the mountains, you may also encounter local animals. We do thoroughly clean the cabin between guests and conduct regular pest control.

Important Safety Notes:
• Home requires climbing stairs. There are interior and exterior stairs.
• There are 2 off street parking spaces on top of the garage. Do not park in the steep driveway. Low cars may bottom out out at your own risk. There is free street parking but do not block snowplows during snowfall as you may get ticketed or towed.
• There are heights without rails or protection as the property is on a steep hillside.
• May encounter potentially dangerous animal. There are animals and insects in this mountain environment. Please keep food indoors and avoid leaving it outside or in vehicles.
• Exterior security cameras on property located outside of the property which record video and audio.

Perfect home for large families of 10 people, 4 cars. With view of Lake Gregory. This cabin sits on a hill, without anything blocking the beautiful view of the gorgeous Lake Gregory . Only 500ft walking distance from the lake. Perfect for morning walks or runs. There is an exercising trail all along the lake. This is a 4 bedroom , 2 bathroom home perfect for family getaways and birthday celebrations. Central AC, Wifi in cabin, along with washer and dryer. There are 2 arge living rooms but one used as a Game room available, both with fireplaces and high definition 60inch TVs. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need. We are less than 5min away from the grocery store and our local bars . Come enjoy our cabin and have a great getaway. We do understand your pets are your family but there is a $100 fee per pet per stay that is non refundable upon booking. Please let me know, if there are any other pets on premises that were not mentioned the fee will be $150 per pet after check in.

In the winter we are close to 2 ski resorts, where you can ski, snowboard, sled, ice skate and a snow play area for the whole family.

In the summer Lake Gregory has beach swimming, a 300 foot water slide, paddle boats, row boats, kayaks and electric fishing boats for rent.

There are many hiking trailers including the beautiful Enchantment Trail. This trail leads to a Heart shaped rock formation with a waterfall.

The space
This three-story mid century modern home was built in 1974 in the historic San Moritz neighborhood. The space has been artfully renovated to a modern luxury standard while preserving beautiful original elements from the 70s.

Put the well equipped full kitchen to work and make meals for yourself or the whole family. Eat at the bar or seat everyone in the dining space on the lower level, or the warmer months, outside on the deck surrounded by nature. In the morning you'll find a stocked coffee station with Nespresso coffee machine, milk frother, and a burr grinder + French press for DIYers.

Take advantage of convenient on-site laundry for longer stays or snow days.

Feel refreshed in the two bathrooms. One conveniently located on the main level which includes a toilet and shower. One on the upper level as an en-suite off of the queen bedroom, but also includes a second entrance from the hallway for easy access from the king bedroom. Relax and recharge in the large soaking tub, or enjoy a nice shower with Ginger Lily Farms botanical body wash and shampoos.

Get cozy in your choice of three bedrooms. The two upper floor bedrooms feature either a king or queen-size bed. The lower level bedroom has two XL twin mattress beds. All beds feature extra comfortable memory foam mattresses and down comforters. Two of the bedrooms also double as private work spaces.

Standard Occupancy:
The space is ideal to accommodate 4-6 guests comfortably.

Extra Guests:
Sleeping 8? You can fit two more on the pull out sofa-bed in the lower level family room. 4 adults and 4 children will be no problem. 8 adults might feel a little crowded. To help keep pricing more affordable for for smaller groups, and account for additional costs incurred with large groups, we charge an extra guest fee for each additional guest over our standard accommodation of 6 guests per night.

Snuggle up on the over-sized dream sofa and treat yourselves to movie night with the home theater featuring a 100” 4k projector and surround sound. There is also a 50” 4k smart TV in the lower level family room.

The lower level can be used as a conference room or meeting space. Stay connected throughout the house with dual band wifi and high speed internet. The chalet is a smart home. You can use your voice to control lights and heat / air conditioning. If you want a low tech experience, feel free to turn the smart home hub off.
Guest access
The driveway can park up to 4 cars (no street parking allowed per county restrictions). The chalet is level-entry (rare to find in the mountains) meaning you can walk in the front door from the same level at which you park. The level access between the driveway and front door of the chalet makes for easy unloading/loading of your car during your stay.

Lake Gregory is less than 5 minutes away where you can fish for rainbow trout, visit the San Moritz lodge, walk nature trails, get on the water with a kayak, or just enjoy a day at the beach.

Explore Lake Drive where you’ll find antique shops, minerals, pottery, local restaurants, coffee houses, and pubs with regular live music.

Originally built in 1974, this cabin was completely renovated in 2021. The interior is BRAND NEW! My husband and I live in Los Angeles and purchased this property as our second home. We have put a lot of love and attention to detail into furnishing, decorating, and making it awesome. We are very excited to share it with our guests in between our own personal stays. Only a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the lake but you may not want to leave the hideaway!
Lake Gregory has so many things to do and see! Or even just do the 2 mile loop walk around the Lake to check it all out!

Welcome to the Downhiller Hideaway! Enjoy coffee or smoke a bowl every morning on our balcony with an incredible forest view. Enjoy the local wildlife, recent guests experienced deer sightings. There is also a large deck for bbqing or relaxing with a glass of wine in the hammock. The balcony has a table and chairs, and the deck has a large sitting area. The kitchen has a stove ready for top chef with a stocked kitchen. The wood burning stove keeps the cabin extra cozy aside from the central heating.
If you have work to do while on your get away, the study has a desk and a reading area ready for you. There is also a giant bean bag for slacking off and a full bathroom with a shower.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a full bath with a bathtub/shower. One bedroom (the light forest) has a queen bed with romantic lighting and the second bedroom(the dark forest) has a bunk bed with a full and twin sized beds. Upstairs and around the house you'll find treasured board games and entertainment.
We have some great restaurants in town. The Stockade is great for BBQ and often has bands playing. Hortencia's has a gorgeous view of the county. Roadhouse Pizza is a favorite. Crestline Cafe is great for breakfast. Mountain Cravings has delicious hot dogs. There's even a snack bar at the lake in the summer.
The cabin is only a mile away from Lake Gregory Regional Park. The Lake is great for fishing, swimming, and even has a water park running in the summer. We have a kayak for guest to use and sleds for the winter.
There is nearby hiking. Heart Rock Trail is a favorite with a water fall at the end. The Pinnacles are a local favorite. There's even a creek that is a short walk down the roads below the cabin.

- "We stayed for in June to enjoy the summer lake activities. The cabin is a guest home/in-law unit detached from the main property. The cabin does sit down a flight of stairs. The property is high on the ridge with a lovely nature view of beautifully aged mostly pine trees. Bright blue blue jays enjoyed my morning coffee with me on the balcony. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our small family of 4 with two young children, 8 and under. The room has a queen or double bed that is comfortable with direct access to the bathroom. All the linens were clean. The bathroom was clean with extra supplies if needed. We did have to request additional towels, which were brought within minutes. While there is no kitchen there is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea warmer, and a George Foreman like grill, in addition to the BBQ outside. There is also a supply of plates, bowls, and silverware. We really didn’t need the full kitchen for a short stay. The living room is where the bunks are with a pull out sleeper sofa. There is an old school style game console that connects to the TV with every old game you can think of! It was fun for the family! We also played some of the games in the closet.Overall we had a great stay. Carlos the host is very responsive. I would stay again. Thanks for the lollipops, my kids loved them!"

- "I loved everything about this cabin, very cozy and family oriented. The living room has large windows with a beautiful view where we got to see some wildlife! A bob cat cub and some deer so majestic, they have a large variety of board games that my kids and my self spent quality time playing. Kitchen was equipped with everything I needed to cook breakfast and dinner, and a back deck where we go to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Comfy beds and over all clean, easy accessible parking. The house is an entertainer's delight with multiple outdoor living spaces, suitable for all ages and pets alike with a fenced-in courtyard, deck, and tiered hillside for plenty of privacy.

You will walk into an open floor plan upon entering the property, featuring a large living area with a wood-burning fireplace and a fully remodeled kitchen, including cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless steel upgraded appliances, and hardware. The house is equipped with a big-screen TV and plenty of games and toys, including an arcade console, to keep all ages entertained.

The main level includes three large bedrooms, two brand new full baths, vaulted ceilings, big windows, and skylights. A custom-built bunk room with two twin beds and a full bed featuring big starry skylight views will leave you dreaming peacefully.

BONUS! You will also have access to the top-level A-Frame suite, with a separate private entryway, treetop deck, living area with desk workspace, dining table, remodeled kitchen, and light & bright bathroom boasting new custom cabinetry, quartz counters, and appliances.

The space:
Jupiter Lane Cabin has a warm, cozy, and modern cabin interior- featuring large common areas as well as private rooms, living and dinning rooms, and full bathrooms.

The cabin sleeps 10 guests, with 4 queen beds + 2 queen daybeds. Newly remodeled, it has a Jacuzzi tub, air hockey table, Pac-Man arcade game, 20+ board games, hammock, large smart TV, Wifi, heater, and more

The kitchen is well equipped with all of the cooking, baking and entertaining essentials: stainless steel appliances, glassware, microwave, gas, toaster, refrigerator, etc. There are also complimentary snacks, trash bags, paper towels, washer/dryer, central heating.

The cabin also has outside cameras for our guest safety.

Guest access:

The entire home is accessible to guests. There are 2 locked closets on the third floor and one next to the first floor stairs that is not available to guest.

Other things to note
Parking is for 4-5 vehicles (depending on the size of your vehicles) only in the driveway. No street parking is allowed per county rules. Do not block neighbors' driveways or park in neighbors' driveways.

We highly recommend carrying chains/cables with tensioners during the winter. CalTrans will have chain checkpoints and require you to show them or in some cases put them on. to be allowed up the mountain.

There is no smoking inside or outside the property, this includes but not limited to Cigarettes, Marijuana, and Cigars. If we smell smoke in the home there will be an additional $250 cleaning fee. If we find burn marks in any furniture, the guest is responsible for replacement costs.

A general store is located within walking distance where you will find snacks and basic amenities. 1.2 miles up the highway, the center of Crestline hosts a variety of restaurants, antique stores, a grocery store, and most notably, Lake Gregory. In the summertime, this lake offers a waterslide, water tricycles, rowboat rentals, and plenty of room for laying in the sun and swimming.

The space
As you enter the cabin, you will instantly notice the beautiful, unobstructed natural wood ceiling and a split-level floorplan that follows the natural contour of the property. The upper level has two bedrooms separated by 9-foot tall partial wall containing a total of 6 large closets. One room has a queen bed and the other, two Heywood Wakefield twin beds. This level also has a laundry closet that you are welcome to use, as well as a conveniently separated powder room and shower room.

Down the short staircase, you'll enter the main common area. This includes a full kitchen with everything you'll need for cooking. Air fryer, microwave, oven, stove, refrigerator, pantry, cooking utensils, dishware, silverware, glassware, hand towels, oven mitts, etc. There is a standard-sized, built-in dining table that can easily accommodate 6 adults seated.

The focal point of the living room is a HUGE original fireplace that is enveloped by a very comfortable leather couch and a hand-carved vintage armchair. The bookshelves are full of a random assortment of art pieces, board games, and records that can be played on the record player in the corner. Across the fireplace, you'll find a 60-in Samsung Smart TV equipped with all standard streaming service apps and Apple Airplay.

Before you step outside on the spacious patio deck, you can already take in the gorgeous nature views through a whole wall of windows. You can sit at the work desk and truly feel like you're in the middle of the woods, while still taking advantage of high-speed, 1GB fiber internet. Whether you'd like to stay alone to focus and recharge, or bring family and friends for an adventure in the San Bernardino Mountains, Felsen Hollow is the perfect cabin for you.

The living/dining area has a a table with four chairs, a sectional sofa (that turns into a bed), and a fantastic rock fireplace. We've stocked the bookshelf with great weekend reads, boardgames, and toys for kids 0-5yo. The 50" Roku tv lets you enjoy all your favorite shows.

This beautiful cabin in the woods is nestled amongst the trees. Quiet and romantic, it's the perfect place to unwind. Read a book on the outdoor deck. Sip a cup of cocoa in front of the fireplace. Stroll to Lake Gregory, only a quarter of a mile away. Our home is a mere 90 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. It's a 15 minute drive to Lake Arrowhead. It's only a half an hour from Snow Valley for skiing and snowboarding.

The space
The Starlight Lodge is a peaceful retreat in the gorgeous San Moritz neighborhood of Crestline. Upstairs, enjoy wood beamed, vaulted ceilings, a generously appointed kitchen ready for a gourmet meal, a luxurious master bedroom with king sized bed, a guestroom with bunk beds (twin over full) filled with games like darts, shuffleboard, backgammon and puzzles, and a cozy living room with comfortable seating and an inviting gas fireplace.

Through a secret bookcase door, only available to parties of 6 or more, you will have access to the Enchanted Annex. This space has an additional living room with fireplace, tv and game system, a full bathroom, and two bedrooms whimsically decorated with fantasy themes. The Narnia bedroom has a full sized bed and a couch that lays flat and can be used as an additional bed. It also has a small desk that can be used for work or writing. The Secret Garden bedroom has a hanging queen sized bed adorned with floral garland. (please do not allow children unattended in this room. The bed is not made for aggressive swinging, but for a gentle rocking. Any damaged caused by incorrect use will be charged to the guests)

PET POLICY: maximum 2 pets.
We frequently host an elderly family member who is severely allergic to pets. Because of this, we ask that guests keep their pets in the downstairs portion of the house, which is on a separate HVAC system. If you are in a smaller group that is not renting the downstairs, please contact me for possible access to the lower half of the house. But for the safety of my mom, the upstairs must remain pet-free

For bookings of 5 guests or less, you have only the upstairs of this duplex. Occasionally, I use the downstairs as a writer's retreat. This is a completely separate unit and there are no shared spaces. I will always let you know if I will be there during your stay, and it will never be for more than one night. For reservations of 6-8, you will have access to the entire two floors

Other things to note
This is a mountain town and is regularly effected by snow and inclement weather. It is required by law for you to travel with chains in the winter. Very dense fog can also be a problem. Please use caution when traveling.

Parking is available for 2 cars on the parking deck. (54 stairs down to the main entrance) There are also 2 spaces in the lower parking area. (This parking is in front of the entrance to the bottom half of the house, no stairs). Please note, San Bernardino Short Term Rental laws dictate that cars for Airbnb units may not exceed the number of spaces available. So if traveling in a group, no more than 2 cars may be brought to the property when renting the top half of the house, 4 cars for a whole house rental. You may be cited for any infractions of this rule.

The 54 steps leading down to the cabin are lit with solar lights but they may be dim or out if the day has been cloudy. Please be prepared to use a flashlight to navigate the staircase if you get in after dark

We ask that guests remove their shoes when inside the lodge due to to the mud and forest debris that can be tracked in. If you do not want to be barefoot, bring socks or slippers for your stay!

1. PLEASE, NO SMOKING OR VAPING INSIDE OF THE CABIN. The entire cabin is made of pine wood and it soaks up smoke like a ginormous sponge. So, PRETTY PLEASE, do not smoke inside of the cabin.
2. No parties or events allowed.

UPON LEAVING

2. Master room Portable AC can be set to your preference (close both doors and set to lowest degree for maximum coolness:)

3. Please, place all used towels into the 2nd floor bathtub

4. Leave the beds you used unmade, so we know what needs to be cleaned

5. Take all food from the fridge and trash with you (this helps to alleviate “critters). Extra bags can be found under the Kitchen Sink

6. Lock keys in front door lock box and scramble the numbers, please

7. Drive safely home with fresh memories of the good times you had at WINNTERHAVEN.

IN CASE OF SNOW:
You are required to carry snow tire chains in your vehicle when traveling in the San Bernardino Mountain communities during Snow Season (There are checkpoints that look to see if you have chains in your car). Please prepare accordingly before coming up the mountain by checking Crestline weather forecast and conditions. Please ensure your vehicle is capable of driving in snow and ice conditions before arrival. We are not able to help if your vehicle becomes stuck in the snow. Snow removal is the guests’ responsibility. Stairs may be snowed in, shoveling may be required to gain access to the the driveway and cabin. A snow shovel will be found in the front entryway. Please double-check the weather forecast, refunds are not provided due to inclement weather.

ADA: Our cabin is not ADA accessible. There are stairs going up to the cabin and stairs within the cabin.

Cabin is not childproof.

There is one parking space on the premises, which is located on the right side of the cabin. There is also plenty of street parking available for additional vehicles.

The space
Upon arrival you will find ample parking in front of the cabin. The front porch and patio area are covered for year round use. Enter into the living room with fireplace on the left and dining area on the right. Continue through the fully equipped kitchen and then you'll find both bedrooms and the bathroom. The rear door allows access to the back porch - also covered for year round use - where you can do laundry, BBQ, or use the exercise equipment.

Welcome to the quaint mountain town of Crestline! Nestled around Lake Gregory where you can swim, fish, picnic, hike, bike, and stroll around the lake year round while also renting canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats in the summer.

***Like most mountain homes (and beach homes) it is very common to not have central A/C. The cabin is not equipped with A/C so it can get a little toasty during the summer peak months, however, the mornings and evenings cool down. We usually keep the windows open and fans on to help circulate air or sit outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air.***

You will have access to the entire house. This includes front and back yard.

NO SMOKING: No smoking of any kind INSIDE the property. This includes e-cigarettes and vape pens. If we smell any smoke/marijuana INSIDE the property, there will be an additional $400 fee. ***SMOKING OUTSIDE ONLY***


WEATHER: Bring warm clothing such as sweaters and thick wool socks. It's a cozy environment in the winter. If you are wondering what the weather will be like during your stay, the WEATHER CHANNEL app is an excellent resource as is the CAL trans Quickmap which is great for pinpointing road conditions, closures, detours, etc.


WEATHER TRAVEL ADVISORY: We recommend carrying chains for your specific vehicle and tire size during the winter months or during any possibility of snow. CalTrans will have Chain Checks and may not allow entry onto the mountain without them. Traveling past chain check without chains can be VERY dangerous. Most 4x4 vehicles are often allowed up without chains but CHP or CalTrans may ask to carry chains anyways as back-up. I am not responsible for guests not being prepared and turned away due to not having chains.


WINTER/SUMMER POWER OUTAGES : Please be aware during inclement weather (snow, wind, rain, freezing, fires, etc ) there may be power failures for extended periods of time. This is out of my control. Refunds will be case by case.


TRAVELING TO CRESTLINE: During the winter months, it’s the guest's responsibility to know and be prepared for winter road conditions. Weather and road conditions are not grounds for changes in your reservations.
- Always remember to check roadway conditions, including chain controls, road closures and more with the Caltrans app "QuickMap", the Caltrans website, and and the Caltrans Highway Information Network
- I am not able to help if your car becomes stuck for liability reasons.


WINTER WEATHER IN THE MOUNTAINS: Light Snow Removal from vehicle / walkway is the guest's’ responsibility. Anything heavier, I will address.
- Shoveling may be required to gain access to the cabin. A snow shovel will be provided.
- No refunds will be made for circumstances beyond my control, acts of nature, downed power lines, or weather related problems.


FIRE RESTRICTIONS IN THE RIM FOREST: Crestline and the surrounding area’s visitors are reminded to exercise caution when visiting the National Forest and maintain a higher level of awareness with the increased fire risk. Travelers through the Forest should remain on designated roads and never park on dry brush or grass. Outdoor wood, charcoal, or campfires of any kind are not permitted. Fireworks are always prohibited in the San Bernardino National Forest. The US Forest Service will be aggressively citing those who do not comply with the posted restrictions. Violation of these prohibitions is subject to punishment by a fine of not more than $10,000 or imprisonment for not more than six months or both, as Class B misdemeanors under federal law. Persons may also be responsible for resource damage, suppression costs and any injuries that occur if they are found liable for causing a wildfire.

Welcome to the MTN A-Frame! This cabin was built in 1981, nestled in the mountains of Crestline, CA. Surrounded by cedar and oak trees, the views from the house are magical, especially during sunrises and sunsets. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the house, and works well for a group of friends, couples, or families.
