This incredible two story cabin in the heart of Topanga is for nature lovers. It has a lovely outside covered deck which feels like you are floating in an oak forest. You are fully immersed in nature in this unique home, but with all modern amenities. Enjoy the creek below and hiking trails throughout the property.

This charming wooden cottage with a lovely outside covered deck feels like you are floating in an oak forest. You'd never know you were anywhere near a city. Amenities include: stainless steel sink and counter, refrigerator, butcher block chopping area in the kitchenette as part of an outdoor dining area and an inside living room. The downstairs features a newly installed Brazilian Cumaru hardwood floor which, believe it or not, came from Jennifer Aniston's home! There is a queen size bed downstairs.

Climb up a wooden stair case through a hobbit door to enter in a very large bedroom area with beautiful wooden rafters and a queen size bed. There is plenty of room for additional mattresses. DISCLAIMER: This is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these are older cottages hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your party will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.

Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

The Creekside Trailer is your perfect escape. This is a truly "Topangan" guest house that uses hippie inspired creativity that made the 1960’s the magical era that they were.

Part 1950's Pontiac vintage trailer, part "tree house". We’re situated on a seasonal creek making this home a one of a kind getaway experience.
The magical space is a climate controlled tiny home which includes a great room with a twin sized day bed that boasts floor to ceiling windows overlooking the seasonal creek , a compact full functioning kitchen with a built in dining area, a cozy sleeping cabin with a full size memory foam bed, and finally a full sized bathroom with plenty of hot water for a shower/tub and a bidet toilet.

Included are two private outdoor spaces for your enjoyment; a covered patio with a love seat situated by the calming sounds of a fountain and a deck off of the great room with a bistro table and lounger perfect for open air deck dining that sits above and alongside the creek. Sorry, we do not offer a TV so unplug from urban life and enjoy a glass of wine and an al fresco dinner listening to vintage records from local Topanga artists (or your own music) on the Bluetooth enabled turntable. The Creekside Trailer is centrally located to the heart of Topanga with dining local favorites like The Inn of the Seventh Ray and Canyon Bistro just a quick walk away.

We’re also steps away from the Topanga State Park trailheads making your getaway activities such as hiking or mountain biking so much easier since you can leave your car parked next to the house and enjoy all that Topanga Canyon has to offer.

Finally, the Creekside Trailer is extremely private but on a shared property with the main house. The dedicated entry path leads you to the trailer and once you're settled in; fences, landscaping, trellises and the seasonal creek will make you feel as if you're the only people here.

While the trailer has a bit of an old-school cabin feel, it was very clean and well prepared for me. The owner even goes to the extra step of saging the space before your arrival. The owner was very communicative, helpful, and available for whatever I needed. I appreciated her preparation emails sent in advance, advising me on how to get there, where to park, and how things worked. This is a perfect location to unplug and enjoy a nature experience!"

Welcome to the most magical compound in Topanga! This unique home offers three separate houses, ideal for a group retreat or a family getaway. Each house is decorated with much love, comfort and style in mind: the Redwood House, the Chime House and Crystal Cabin. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Topanga is the perfect LA getaway, close enough but far away, and this singular place allows you and your group to step into your own retreat.

**Please note at the moment the lower section of Topanga Canyon Blvd is blocked and there is no direct access from PCH driving north on Topanga Canyon Blvd to the house. There are 3 routes still available to reach our property:
1. From the 101 driving south onto Topanga Canyon Blvd
2. From PCH you can go north on Los Flores Canyon Blvd to where it meets up with Topanga Canyon Blvd
3. (Only from our house to PCH) Take Topanga Canyon Blvd south to Tuna Canyon Rd to PCH

This house is surrounded by some amazing nature, and so you can expect to see some bugs and wildlife at times. In the summer they are especially active--we are always clearing off spider webs and cleaning inside and outside but please understand you probably will run into some bugs & critters during your stay.

Please note there is no luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. If you'd like early check-in, make sure to request it in advance. In most cases we cannot offer it, but we will be happy to let you know in case it is possible (though we may not be able to let you know either way until the morning of check-in in many cases). It is EXTREMELY rare that we can offer late checkout, but if you request it in advance as well we will let you know if it's possible. Requests the morning of for late checkout are not possible due to the need to schedule our cleaners in advance. Guests are responsible to check for personal items before check-out. Lost items can be arranged to be picked up in Santa Monica or Culver City; we do not mail forgotten items.

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am noise should be kept to a minimum.

Please do not host additional guests other than the number listed in your reservation.

-Damages
We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately - if it's minor we usually won't charge. If it's a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to agree on the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!

Pets must be groomed and well-trained. They are not allowed on the sofas (indoors/out) or in beds at any time!!
Pets should not be left alone in the property or outdoors while you are not there. Please make sure to clean up your pet before you leave.

We are 3 minutes away from Old Downtown San Dimas, there you can find local restaurants, stores, a railroad museum, and a wine shop with a tasting room. We are also conveniently located within 10 minutes of multiple educational facilities, recreational facilities, stores and parks.

Our suite is private from the main house with its own entrance, bathroom and living area.

Guest access
Guests are offered driveway parking but if their vehicle cannot fit they must get a parking permit from the local sheriff’s department so they can legally park on the street and not get a ticket. If a guest need to catch a bus for transportation, there are 2 bus stops less than 5 minutes away from the suite.

Main road to beach currently closed! Town is open, just use a map app and it will direct you to the house around the road closure. Freestanding tiny house in town, on the creek. Croaking frogs, hooting owls, howling coyotes. Private fenced yard. Walking distance to hiking trails, shops, restaurants, coffee shop, yoga, library, bars. 240 sq ft additional 240 sq ft loft. Nature! Nature! Trees and creek but restaurants and shops accessible. Walk to the most romantic restaurant in Los Angeles "Inn of the Seventh Ray". For pizza across the street, try Living Color". Lastly, if gourmet faire is your thing try Topanga's newest restaurant, "Canyon Bistro". Coffee and a croissant? "Waterlily Cafe" it is. For a fancier breakfast try The Topanga Table. A little hipper vibe then I recommend Topanga Living Cafe. Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, walk across the street to La Chingona Tacos and sometimes live music. If you are in the mood for vintage shopping we are very near "Hidden Treasures". There is also a library, yoga studio and dance studio. All of these are walking distance from the cabin. 4 miles to the beach!

Available for Weddings and events or just a country getaway. Entire 40 acre private party ranch, great for weddings/events/retreats up to 200 guests. The house is great for use during events or for a few party organizers to stay over, however it is very basic. This is mostly a great wedding/event place.

House can be used for small family or group of friends quiet hiking getaway in nature, but it is not luxurious, it is very basic, a little better than camping. There is no electric unless we run generators. This house is mostly used during events but if you just want a get away weekend this is not the best house.

Event/Wedding- tons of outdoor party space, dance patios and stage areas plus house. Private but inside National Forest, rustic nature experience with woods and a stream. Not in a neighborhood, so loud music is ok and can be late night. But still very close to town and freeways, easy to get to.

House has 2 queens and a fold out. It is basic; off the grid on solar/generator and well-water. No TV. Has wifi with generator only. House is really meant for organizers to get ready or sleepover. Or good for hiking nature get aways. Not fancy. 2bed/ 1 bath house: 2 bedroom plus fold out twin and sofa you can use in living room. If you want other guests to sleep over they can camp and bring tents.

Mostly this ranch is great for weddings where guests come for outdoor dinner and dancing and just a few people sleep over. Wilderness feel, but close to town easy to find, 6 mins to freeways & shops.

For weddings, you are welcome to bring your own catering and drinks and decorate how you like. Rental includes time to set up for event and time to clean up the next day.
