- "The house was clean and comfortable. It's conveniently located right off the 101, and we thought highway noise might be a problem, but it wasn't. The parking spots are narrow but we managed just fine. Marx is very accommodating and the one night all the spots were taken, there was a permit for us to use to park on the street. He even offered parking service but we were happy to do it ourselves. The room was small but not too cramped. The bathroom was modern and clean. If you like softer beds you'll love the memory foam bed. Everything worked well. The fridge was stocked, which was great (just bring your own liquid cream and regular sugar if you like that with your coffee). The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The neighborhood wasn't fancy but wasn't unsafe. We would definitely stay here again. It had what we needed and was in a location that worked well for us."

- "I really hit the jackpot when I selected this property. I was greeted and warmly welcomed at the door by host Rena who showed me around. Her motherly spirit was evident in the care she put into the unit. From extra towels, to water and orange juice in the fridge and cookies, apples, and flowers on the dining table. The bed was wonderfully comfy with extra blankets available in the closet. As a single female I also appreciated the very bright automatic light that comes on as you approach the door after dark. The construction of this unit was clearly a previous part of the family home that had been sectioned off with a wall to create a self-contained separate external locked-door-accessible apartment. Homey wooden floors, an immaculately clean bathroom stocked with all the amenities of a better hotel, a dining table with two chairs, a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, and an electric kettle were all included. I work in real estate in Tokyo and we call this a "grandmother's apartment" because often an extended family here has a separate attached residence for grandma as part of their home. If you use ambulatory aids, such as wheelchairs or walkers, this may not be the place for you. It seems busy & a little cluttered but he does provide a zen room that is more undersated. It is an older house & very much lived in, shared spaces with the owner (kitchen, bathroom). The outdoor coverage with the curtains allowed for nice, dark rooms, even when the sun is out. The living room was converted to another type of 'bedroom.' A bonus for a larger party, a minus if you're wanting to just chill in the living room without having to stare at people that might be utilizing the beds. Although we ended up not needing to, he said going in & out from the property would not be a problem. Parking on property was a definite plus. My family lives in LA so I was able to leave my car on property while I rode with them. "

Interaction with Guests

We know that everyone is concerned about safety these days, so we personally cleaned and sanitized the rooms. We keep a pretty tight safety protocol because we visit my elderly parents and our grandchildren regularly. So, our guests don't see much of us during their stay, but they are always free to text us with questions and needs. .
Our guests are given all of the privacy they desire. We will be in the house during their stay to respond to any needs, but we wish our guests a delightfully private experience of the canyon and we enjoy our privacy too! An especially designed guestbook will provide wireless internet access codes, as well as maps and details about local attractions, beaches, restaurants, clubs, art galleries and museums.

The Neighborhood

Our home is situated on five acres so our nearest neighbor is acres away! There are no street lights in Topanga so the nights are filled with the stars, the rising and setting moon. Topanga is well known for its quiet and tranquil beauty. A perfect getaway for city dwellers that need a break!

Getting Around

Guests will need to rent a car to get around our private paradise, but we will provide excellent maps and listings of local attractions, beaches, restaurants, entertainment, and art galleries and museums.

Their home is so beautiful and warm, Linda’s beautiful artwork is stunning and gives you just a glimpse of how talented she is. Everything was as described, beautiful room, comfy beds etc. the rooms were very clean, lovely windows and sliders for fresh air. My husband needed to work a bit & there was a desk in one of the rooms and he also worked on the patio, wifi was fantastic! The highlight for us was the private outdoor space that overlooked the canyon. We loved having our coffee on the patio ( which was provided every morning & delicious) and spending our evenings sipping a glass of wine . We will definitely be booking again and cannot wait to go back!"

Two bedroom and two bath New England Cape Cod home. Centrally located to afford all that West Hollywood has to offer. Just blocks from the glamor of Santa Monica Blvd. and the Sunset Strip, and steps from Beverly Hills.

Note: City of West Hollywood regulations require that homeowners live on the property while renting a property for short-term stays. We live in the unit at the back of the property. There is a private entrance to the unit, and there is no shared living space between the unit and the rest of the house.

There is a direct view of Marilyn Monroe's first Beverly Hills home. And the home is within walking distance of some of West Hollywood's finest restaurants: Boa, Pump Restaurant and Lounge, the Abbey, Catch, and the celebrity hot spot, Craig's, etc.

Absolutely no parties and smoking are permitted on our premises. To ensure compliance, we have implemented extensive security measures including outdoor cameras, video doorbells, as well as noise, smoke, and party crowd event detectors within each property. Any violation of these rules, resulting in the activation of any detector, will lead to immediate eviction without the option of a refund. We extend courtesy and respect to all our guests and expect the same in return for our properties.

Charges and penalties:

1. Early check-in(1 pm)— 50$ (after the request is approved - not guaranteed).

Late check-out - 25$ each 30min. after 11 am.

2. We are a residential, not commercial building. Doing commercial business - 300$ fine and immediate cancelation without any refund.

4. No parties allowed. Fine 1000$ and immediate cancellation without any refund.

5. Smoking is not allowed. Fine 1000$ for smoking inside the apartment.

6. Pets are not allowed. Penalty 1500$.

The space
Very private. Large open floor plan, hardwood floors and lots of windows with newly installed adjustable wood blinds. Features 2 fluffy comfortable queen size beds with all linens and blankets. There is a kitchen with Stove, a industrial sink and full size refrigerator and microwave, coffee maker and toaster oven. There is Small dining table with folding leafs to convert to a work surface with nearby USB charging ports. Ethernet connection is possible as well. Private bath and Private entrance. You can relax in a large patio space surrounded by lush plants and foliage. Furnished with A large glass top table and cushioned chairs. There is also a gas grill at your disposal. The owners or gardeners will at times have to pass through to water and maintain it but we always try to avoid doing so whenever guests are present to allow you to enjoy the space.

This is your own home, private and completely detached from the main house. You will have your own separate entrance as well as a bath within your guest house.

Other things to note
There are always plenty of Ubers and Lyfts around and the pricing is very reasonable in our area due to the abundant number of drivers. Metro bus stops nearby and bus lines run in all directions.

The space
This is a one-room studio with high ceilings, a bathroom and a queen-sized bed. The studio has French doors that open to the backyard, WI-FI and a TV with access to local streaming channels. The studio includes a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee and tea pots.

You have exclusive use of the yard and pool area . The studio and yard are a smoke-free environment.

Guest access
Free parking is available on the street in front of the house. You have a private entrance through the gravel driveway on the side of the house and shared access to the pool (pool access ONLY for those over 18), a fire pit and a grill. The driveway is mostly gravel–so expect to carry your bags (as opposed to rolling them) to the back.

Other things to note
This house is in a quiet residential neighborhood that is strict about late night noise or parties, so I ask guests to not make noise after 10pm. And though the yard and pool looks like a great place to invite a bunch of friends to, parties are not allowed. Also, no one under 18 is allowed in the pool.

We are close to the airport please advise that there will be airplane noises since we are less than 5 minutes away from the airport. We are located on a busy boulevard/fire station and it can get noisy.

This is a room in a newly constructed multi-room guesthouse. Totally safe, secure, quiet and clean! Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located place.

The space
This is a brand new guesthouse in the back of a gated safe townhouse complex! Your private bedroom and bathroom is located on the second floor. You can access the stairs immediately upon entrance of front door. There are two other bedrooms in the guesthouse that most likely will be hosting other guests or myself if I’m in town. It’s an awesome unique place and everyone who comes is awesome!

This is a brand new bungalow townhome in the very back of a brand new fourplex in Hollywood. Safe gated entry and awesome neighbors like myself 😉💪💃

PARKING: Street parking is free & unlimited in my neighborhood from 6pm to 8am. It’s a 2 hour limit for all other hours M-F, and they like to give tickets since it’s a touristy area—so please be careful! The 2-hour limit is NOT enforced on Sat & Sun 👍

If you need it, the cheapest paid parking garage for ALL DAY, closest to me is on Johnny Grant Way & Highland (attached to Ovation mall).

KITCHEN:
You are free to use the kitchen and everything it provides, but PLEASE CLEAN UP ALL DISHES, COUNTERS AND POTS ETC after use. PLEASE be respectful and just don’t leave things for my to have to clean up after you. The cleaning fee I charge is small which is only to clean your room, linens, bathroom etc. If you don’t clean the kitchen up after yourself I will charge an additional fee of $25+. Thanks for understanding.

LAUNDRY:
OFF LIMITS as per your check in instructions. Using machines will result in house rule break fines and severely messes up our cleaners schedules!

Other things to note
* No children are allowed due to safety features of the home and noise for close proximity of other guests.

*Absolutely no Amazon or other deliveries should be made using our homes address. Amazon Lockers and post offices are acceptable other options. We do this for safety and for no complications.

* No pets ($50/night extra cleaning fee incurred for safety and health for even service animals for severe health allergies of host and other guests present with animal allergies).

*We reserve the right to charge $25+ for any beyond normal cleaning job you leave behind.

* No additional guests

* No smoking even on the balcony. Things a non smoking listing. If the room smells like weed or cigarettes automatic $75 fine.

* If you arrive late or are out late, please be conscious of noise getting back to your room.

*Do not use the laundry machines

Breaking any of these rules will result in a $100 fee.

* Early check-in at 1:00pm is available for an additional $25. Must be approved w/ host on the app.

* Late check-out at 12:00pm is available for an additional $25. Must be approved w/ host on the app.

* An additional $25/hour fee will incur for each additional hour stayed past 10:00am (if late check-out was not previously approved).

*Do NOT touch the thermostat. It’s set to the average perfect temperature for whole house. If you need hotter or colder portable fans and heaters are in the closet. Do not effect the whole house without asking me first. This would be disrespectful otherwise. $25 per change.

*Laundry machines are OFF limits. There is a laundry mat one block away. If you use them automatic $75.
