Private guest suite opening onto a park-like setting at the top of a canyon. Close to all major attractions that San Diego has to offer, but feels like you're out in the country surrounded by nature and the sound of water features and birds singing.
The luxurious air conditioned suite is anchored by a bedroom/sitting room (bed has a queen Euro pillow top mattress), opening through French doors to a relaxing patio, complete with fire pit. The unit has a kitchenette with all the amenities: bar sink, undercounter fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, induction plate with cooking pots, toaster, dishware, silverware and a bottle of wine for your enjoyment upon arrival.
The spa like bathroom has a beautiful marble tile shower with built-in bench, rain shower head and clear glass barn style doors . Soap/shower gel, shampoo and a hair dryer are provided. [Full Disclosure: We live above the suite and have two dogs, so if you are a light sleeper, you may want to use the Echo Plus (provided) as a sound machine.]

Welcome to your urban cottage just steps away from downtown San Diego! The Queen Anne Cottage combines brand-new renovations with historic charm. The Cottage has a private entrance so you can easily come and go and is located in quiet, family-oriented neighborhood in the Sherman Heights historic district just a few blocks from downtown San Diego. It is minutes away from the Convention Center, Petco Park, the Gaslamp District, the Coronado bridge, Balboa Park, and the San Diego Zoo.

The space
The Cottage is part of a larger Queen Anne style craftsman/historic home that is newly renovated. You have a separate entrance, private patio and use of the entire space. It is a small studio, but has all you need for a comfortable stay in a location that gives easy, walkable access to everything downtown (Petco park, Gaslamp, Convention Center, etc). Balboa park, the San Diego Zoo and Coronado Bridge are about one mile away. The unit includes a smart TV, Air Conditioning/Heating, Wifi, mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, Keurig Coffee Maker (coffee provided) and basic utensils.

Guest access
You have full access to the private patio and entire unit. While there is no shared space, the cottage is attached on one wall to the larger home our family lives in. As such, you may hear us between 8am and 10pm.

Trash pick up is on Wednesday mornings, so you may hear the trucks come by around 8am.

Top of the line Luxury Estate Stearns and Foster queen mattress. We have a very comfortable bed with that it adjustable. You use the remote lift the head rest, the feet and also has massage with different mode for , head, lumbar and leg. Our guests love it!!

There is dimmable lighting for evening relaxation ! our guests can use and make themselves comfortable on our tropical getaway with Zen Atmosphere!

The deck and hot tub, area, which adjoins your room, is for our guests and it will be all available for you to enjoy during your stay in our home!

We have a guest book with extra information on how to use the hot tub, deck lights, and wifi. We suggest our guests to ask us any questions they may have during their stay in our home. We are here to provide the Best Stay for you!!

This is a nonsmoking room. Please smoke on the deck area and please close the bedroom room, so other guests that don't smoke can enjoy a nonsmoking room when they arrive and can enjoy their stay.

PARKING:
We have Off-street parking. Note that there is street cleaning Wednesday and Friday on Main Street, Voltaire. Please pay attention to the sign that is located in front of our house.
Parking on the side streets is unrestricted and walk. Very safe neighborhood. If you prefer you can drive into our driveway, unpack your car and then go parking your car.
Very easy parking around our Residence.

Other things to note
HOT TUB - ask us if you want us to change the water temperature and we can teach you how to use it. It is very easy, only press the bottom up or down to control the water temperature. When we don't have guests we leave the water temperature around 92 but the guest can move the temperature up a few hours prior to using it.
WE REQUEST THAT OUR GUESTS TO PLEASE SHOWER BEFORE USING THE HOT TUB.
We would like to keep the water clean!!

Please note that our home is located 10 minutes from the airport, so there is noise from inbound and outbound planes, but the planes stop at night.
